I found Hockessin Homeworks here, and even though they didn't have any reviews I decided to give them a try. I'm very glad I did. They stopped by the same day, took a look at the window and told me that they thought they could squeeze the job in before the end of the day. Last March 2024, during an especially windy day a country club's tree came down and whacked the rear of my house, starting from the highest roof, ripping down wires and landed on my detached garage where it sat until PECO could make it safe. I initially gave the go ahead for my insurer, who I'll call SF, to send out a contractor to assess the damage. Well someone came out, slapped a tarp on the hole in the garage, but seemed dismissive of the house damage. And then I heard nothing for the longest time. So, getting concerned I called Impriano to get their opinion, as is my right, since I had a good experience with them 13 years ago with a new roof. Jack Impriano came out and did a very thorough inspection finding a lot more damage than SF's contractor did, including a split rafter in the garage roof. He looked at the plan for repair that the adjuster had drawn up finding it completely inadequate, so he drew up his own. He basically worked directly with the adjuster, all while updating me about what was going on. There were many problems such as the SF contractor sending the wrong information to SF that led them to believe the work was complete when nothing was repaired. The contractors invoice included pictures that wasn't even my property. Jack Impriano handled everything, everything is repaired/replaced, their crew came out in the most inhospitable weather and did an excellent job. You could tell how well done my 13 year old roof was when shingles were removed. It's amazing how nice our new roof and siding looks. It's peace of mind working with a company that takes pride in their work, and there's good reason they've been around for so long. I didn't realize they also handle windows which is on my to do list. I don't think I would trust anyone else. Thank you Jack and Ed and the rest of your hard working crew, including the office, you guys were great, can't thank you enough.

DO NOT HIRE Louie Fidanza / LF Contracting. Our experience…read moreresulted in significant financial loss and non‑compliant construction. In August 2022, we hired Louie of LF Contracting to (1) install a new second‑story deck with stairs, (2) pour a concrete pad beneath the deck, (3) install a concrete landing at the base of the stairs, and (4) build a screened‑in porch under part of the deck. By the end of 2022, only the deck and stairs were partially completed. The concrete work and screened‑in porch were never started, despite repeated assurances that the project was near completion. Relying on these representations, we paid nearly $27,000 for work that was never delivered. In summer 2023, we discovered that no permit had ever been obtained, despite being legally required. Louie constructed a 12' x 40' second‑story deck on the back of our home without a permit and without any inspection. When we later worked with the township to have the structure reviewed, the deck failed inspection and was found not to be up to code. In short, we paid a substantial sum for incomplete work and were left with an unpermitted, non‑compliant structure that exposed us to legal, safety, and financial risk. Based on our documented experience, Louie committed fraud repeatedly and stole a lot of money from us for services not rendered. Learn from our mistake and protect yourself--DO NOT HIRE this contractor.
