First off Absolutely Posh was really easy to find, right in the plaza next to Fatheads (another great place I may add). There was plenty of parking, easy to get to, and just an overall good location. I was referred by the receptionist to see EJ, allegedly a master stylist. Don't get me wrong, he was a nice guy and very entertaining, so note that this isn't a personality rating, but he literally did the worst job highlighting my hair. I had harsh lines, uneven color, areas totally missed, and even red tones despite the fact that the goal was blonde. After submitting photos to the salon, it was agreed that this was not a job well done and needed addressed. They wanted me to go back to EJ to which I said was not an option. If it were a minor error, I get it, but why on earth would I allow someone who did everything wrong to "fix" it? Studio 6A understood my position and as a result, they suggested that the owner be the one to fix it. However, what didn't sit well with me is that the receptionist's exact words were "she will squeeze you in and all she needs is an hour" and put me on the schedule 3 weeks later because that was all her schedule allowed for. (sidebar, I was disappointed because I did communicate via email with Nicole who later tried to tell me that they never said that all she needed was an hour- but they did). I had submitted photos to other hair stylists elsewhere and had a couple of consultations after this EJ visit and they all agreed that this would require several hours and several subsequent visits before this could really be corrected. Otherwise, I would get hair damage that I was not interested in acquiring. Studio 6A does not offer refunds but made an exception and ultimately did. However, they absolutely 'nickle and dimed' me and only refunded me the color portion on the service and not for the entire visit which was color and cut. All I will say about the cut is that all I asked for were framing layers around my face and if you aren't interested in looking like you have blunt, staircase like layers- don't have him do that either. Ultimately, this trip will cost me likely two more trips before I can have my hair look 'normal' again. Terrible experience and this sucks for me!

The price for this haircut? Over $30. I didn't remember this being the case for any other haircut I had gotten there, considering I don't get my hair shampooed or washed. I then felt talked down to by one of the stylists who told me that next time, I should be sure to ask for a "stylist" instead of one of the more advanced levels of hair cutters. I was a walk-in and had no say in who they had available to cut my hair. Nor is this explained upfront. Walking away feeling very disappointed and not sure if I will be returning.
