Asked for butterfly locs she said she knew how to do them. Took her 6 hours to install and then the same night they began to unravel. I contacted Aisha and sent a picture. She said to come in and I came on Tuesday. She had 3 other people getting their hair done and when she saw how many were unraveling said she didn't have hair or time to fix that night and to come back Friday. Was recommended the place by a colleague Initially the morning of I requested a VIXEN SEW IN. , I've had a few of these so I know how it's supposed to look and how it's not, my appointment was at 6:30 I show up at 6:15 Aisha had someone in the chair , someone under the dryer and someone still waiting all of these clients were loc maintenance, ok no biggie I showed up early , then time is passing I'm still waiting until about 7:20-7:30-ish which is 1 hour after my appointment. Aisha says your hair is to fine and I can't hide your braids which is news to me never heard that before, then she mentions braid-less sew ins , nope never heard of that , Aisha then asks why I want a vixen I explain I want to be able to pull it into a ponytail, half up half down and a few other things , then she says I can do a sew in that you can do the same things I'm like ok cool . She starts braiding my foundation but she's adding braiding hair and these braids are THICK like unusually thick , she finally finishes her braiding, automatically I knew something is not right I did say the braids are on the thicker side and the way it's braided is odd but nothing changes , she proceeds with starting the sew in , I was asked if I wanted a middle part I say no side only, then she tries to "curl the leave out" which there was no effort put in because literally you wet my hair and it will curl up but whatever I continue giving her the benefit of doubt . Aisha finally completes this disaster after taking numerous calls and even stoping when her boyfriend shows up . When she hands me the mirror at almost 9:45 pm I give her a look of dissatisfaction because I clearly requested that I am able to put my hair in a ponytail and also able to leave it half up half down NONE of that is accomplished. I pay because I don't want to be that person and I also have to be at work at 6am and I still had to prepare . I get home and I can't even style it for work I immediately text her and explain that Aisha says come in tomorrow I inform her I'll be there at 6:30 because I get off at 5:30 she says ok , then a half hour later she said can I call you I say sure , we get on the phone and she proceeded to say it's your hair blah blah blah I said before we got started I showed you the hair and my hair and you said that's fine , she then proceeded to say oh I won't be in tomorrow my daughters graduation is tomorrow can we do Thursday I'm hesitant because Thursday 5/30 being by birthday I'm heading out of the country , but I accept . Wednesday passes and I hear nothing then Thursday around 11 am she says we have to make it 7:30 because " she had her daughter graduation to prep for " instead if 6:30 when I've already told her I have a flight to catch and this is very inconvenient because on Tuesday Aisha clearly stated that the Graduation is Wednesday 5/29 after confirming I was coming in to get my hair fixed. I then say that appointment is not ok with me at this time I would like my full refund back . Aisha then says that she don't say that but how come I have it recorded with her saying that . We go back and forth about me not coming in later the 6:30 because again I'm headed out of the country . She still has not offered my refund , Aisha then says I guess I will get someone else to sit in for my daughter I will be there at 6:30 , I say fine I show up at 6:18 her door is closed , the shop is empty I walk around then walk back I take pics of the door being closed and if the clock I'm back in my car by 6:36 and still have not heard anything from her . I call another stylist who then squeezes me in and takes out the mess Aisha started and the new stylist does my Vixen as requested . Friday morning 5/31 as I'm headed out for my flight Aisha texts me stating you wishes me luck on my journey some other weird mess and she was there , I responded that's not true when I was there her door was closed and I reminded her of the cameras everywhere I said look at the footage again I'm requesting a full refund . I even sent her pictures of my new hair just so she dosent think I'm walking around with that mess on my head that she created , Aisha responded ruffle and says I don't do refunds ,on my thing is where is that posted NOWHERE on her site on in the shop is it posted . Because I'm out of the country my Mom stayed she will pick up my money I told Aisha that she says oh no refunds good luck then she proceeded to call me a scam artist . I then stop responding, because she is full of it , she is a horrible stylist and very rude . I wish I would have read or even looked at her work before I sat down , I honestly don't think I even saw a cosmetology license anywhere posted . Horrible horrible horrible service came in for faux locs and looked at them the next day and it looked as if I'd had them in for 3 months and needed to be taken out. I asked her for my money back. She declined. I asked her to redo it. She refused. She only wanted to "look so she could try to fix it" when we scheduled a time for me to come in she pushed the appointment back twice an hour apart. She's unorganized. Unreliable. And disrespectful. I will never go back to her again nor will I recommend her. My mother tried to talk to her and she disrespectfully hung up the phone on us. Highly disappointed in her services. Would not allow her to run her hands through my hair again. She slandered my name on her Facebook page, simply because she didn't want to accept the fact that she's in the wrong, calling me a person with mental illness. Her skills are amazing. She is a great woman and a hard working stylist BUT she is just really unprofessional. You ask for an appointment availability and she responds 2/3 days later (I understand she is working but 2 days?). I started getting sews in by her and it's great. Prices are great. The only reason why I will not be coming back to her Woodbridge location is because her lack of professionalism. I scheduled for a appointment and she pushed me back an hour and I said that's fine no big deal. I get there and someone in the chair and I didn't get till 12:30... my original time was 10:30. Aisha is truly talented at what she does. I have been going to her for about 3 months now. I usually get sew-in's. She is amazing at making it look natural and having it blend with your hair. Also, recommending products to use to keep it looking nice, fresh and blended. I most recently got faux locs, which look natural and amazing. I have an upcoming appointment scheduled for another full sew-in and I can't wait. She is a very outgoing and attentive hairstylist that will keep you laughing and the time passing while getting your hair done. Her work is the best in this area from what I've seen and know. I spoke with Aisha prior to my appointment and we discussed pricing. She called to follow up and confirm the appointment. When we spoke she changed the pricing that we spoke about previously by $25. I was told that the price was different because of the materials and the intericate braid design to make my closure lay flat.When my friend and I got there she gave us both a straight back cornrow design and completed our hair. She did style our hair however we could tell it was not the quality sew in that she claimed she could do. Our closure was not flat, it was bumpy and did not look realistic once the style went away. Horrible results. She had to keep taking the hair out & try over and over again which caused a lot of pain. Then ended up overcharging because it took her so long. I was told many reasons by her as to why my hair was "unworkable", but I went to another more recommended shop the following week and the other stylist had no issue providing me with a beautiful result. Ms. Aisha has doing my hair for a couple of years and has done a great job every time! She started my locs about 2 years ago and has helped me maintain them and has taught me ways of how to help my hair stay healthy. Even better, because of my crazy work schedule she has been flexible and able to work with me to get my hair done (I'm a little OCD about my hair getting done about every two or three weeks).
