We wanted to convert an extra closet into a built in desk and we got in contact with Style Revamp after a recommendation from another local handyman service who said this was out of their scope. They were wonderful with communication throughout the process, knowledgeable about what could be done and how to do it, and the finished product is beautiful! read more

Style Revamp - This is the great center island that Malcolm and Lori helped us create. - Cabinetry Near Me

Malcolm at Style Revamp is the best! He refaced the entertainment center area in my family room and the result was better than I could have hoped for! Before and after photo below! He took an outdated and ugly space and made it look like a beautiful built-in. Malcom and Pete (his carpenter) were absolutely a pleasure to work with. This project was tricky due to the technical aspects of the job (basically the existing space had been built poorly previously), but Malcolm and Pete worked their magic and made it work wonderfully. Malcolm is everything you want but often times don't get in a finish carpenter: punctual, polite, clean, kind, and...METICULOUS! You can't go wrong with Malcolm and Style Revamp. My only problem now will be getting him back to work on my kitchen! THANK YOU MALCOLM AND PETE!! read more

Malcom installed crown molding and a sleek, modern 9-foot cabinet in our bathroom, and the results are stunning. His attention to detail and craftsmanship are exceptional. We're thrilled we chose Malcom for the project, and my wife is especially excited about his design and the stylish, contemporary look of the finished product. read more

I am completely pleased with the workmanship, professionalism and service. I had some areas of dry-rot on the east side of my house and the siding as well as trim work needed to be removed from around a window. Malcolm showed up on time and got right to work. He was able to tackle a somewhat difficult situation with ease and even finished tghe job earlier than anticipated. Great finished product. I highly recommend read more

Malcolm came out to our house to look at our front door that was sticking and appeared to be out of square. He took only a few minutes to diagnose a sagging top hinge. He screwed in an extra long screw to pull the door back to square. No more sticking. He was done in 15 minutes and refused compensation for such a short visit. Quick, courteous, and knowledgeable. We will definitely call Malcolm again. read more

I needed to get some work done in my house prior to putting it on the market. Malcolm did a revamp of my kitchen by refacing the cabinets, installing appliances, and making other small repairs. The kitchen looks wonderful. The cabinets are better than new! The house sold in only 4 days for over the asking price, and I'm sure the new kitchen was a large part of that. Malcolm is very responsive and his pricing is very reasonable. Refacing rather than replacing the cabinets saved a significant amount of money. He is reliable and is a perfectionist--he does what he says he will, and his work is pristine. I would recommend him to anyone, and would certainly use his services again. read more

I hired Style Revamp to do a little face lift to my small hair studio in Rocklin. Malcom was methodical in planning the project after I showed him a photo of what I wanted. He was great to work with AND I really love my wall so much that I requested he make a couple tables for my space. I definitely recommend using Style Revamp for your next home improvement project. read more

I had Malcolm come out and work on several different projects around our house and I couldn't be more pleased! He installed shelves in our storage room, built in cabinets around our fridge and installed a barn door in one of our bathrooms. We have extra tall door frames and Malcolm built and installed the most beautiful barn door for us at a price much less then the other quotes I was given. He was great at communicating the timeline and kept me updated as we waited for different ordered pieces to arrive. I am thrilled with the results of his work and will definitely be using his services again. Give him a call, you won't be disappointed. read more

Give him one star he never replied to my message. Even though he said to send him a picture of what needed. Dude you could have said I can't do the work instead of wasting my time. Bad business not to respond to customers just FYI! read more

Malcolm prepared, painted and installed several interior door slabs for us. He also installed two sets of 60x80 mirrored closet doors. He was professional, on time, very pleasant, did a fantastic job. We highly recommend him. In fact, we plan to call on Malcolm for future projects. He is now our go-to handyman. Thank you Malcolm! read more

Malcolm is fantastic. He came to our home to do a bunch of things, shelves, locks, etc. He did a really nice job, while providing me with insight that addressed ideas I would have made things less effective. I very much appreciated that! He was done in much less time than I expected, and left everything clean and neat. We will definitely use him again. rrh read more

I called Style Revamp because I heard good things. He was able to work around my schedule and come out right away. Not only was the work he did for me flawless but he was reasonably priced. Very difficult to find. I would hands down recommend him to everybody. It was probably the best experience I ever had with a handyman. read more

I hate to give Malcom a good review because when you find a quality handyman, you don't want to share. I want him all to myself. But besides being good at what he does (and I am super picky) he's a nice guy so I will share my experience. Im doing a bath remodel and when the supposed contractors doing the surface part removed the tub there was dry rot on the supporting boards. The whole project stopped because they don;t do repairs, so I had to find my own repair person. Luckily I was able to reach Mallm. Malcolm understood my plight, was flexible about coming over as soon as he could and really reinforced the floor the tub would sit on. I feel confident that the area is secure and will look forward to calling him back on other projects as they come along. read more

I'm giving Malcolm five stars and he didn't even do any work for me! I called him regarding a front door that needed fixing and, he not only was willing to schedule a time to come out, but he also made suggestions on how the door might be fixed by me, the homeowner. Malcolm said he would contact me right away regarding a time to come out which he did the next morning. However, by the time he texted me in the morning, I had the door in working order thanks to his suggestions. Thanks, Malcolm. read more

I've had to use Malcolm's services 3 times in the past few months and he has been exceptional. Professional, very personable, reliable and reasonable. Also, fixed many different things and because of it, there was no need to call multiple professionals (an electrician, locksmith and a painter) as he did it all. He's our new go to professional for future services. Thank you Malcolm for helping us in this last minute pinch! read more

I was searching for a "handyman" on Yelp recently when I found Style Revamp aka Malcolm Nicolson. Malcolm isn't your typical handyman....his knowledge, experience, ability to effectively communicate, reliability and easy manner all reflect effortlessly in his work! When I think of the good ol days when a handshake was your bond, this is the kinda guy you want to shake hands with! He's good, he's very efficient, he's got great ideas and knows how to execute them, and of course he's in HIGH DEMAND too! Don't let that stop you from calling him though....you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who has a skill set such as ALL this nowadays, unfortunately! BTW, we had him change out a microwave/wall oven set to a new double wall oven which required cutting into the existing cabinetry and more! Once he finished that job we had him change out a gas cooktop. We would have had him change out the dishwasher and install a microwave over the cooktop, but we'll save it for another day. He was here working for 6 hours straight...NO BREAKS! When he left he was on his way to another job!!! Now that is dedication!!! Again, this is "The Guy" you want....don't accept average, you want Malcolm....HE ROCKS! read more

Malcolm's handyman service was beyond excellent. Though he was booked for three weeks in advance for the time I was requesting he stated he would get back to me the next day to see of he could get another handyman that works for him to do work at our home. Even though I was requesting a handyman to work on a long weekend and on such short notice Malcolm gave me a call back like he said he would. He informed me that handyman Tony can come to my home and finish all the patching, painting a large wall and unmount an large TV and other things to get my home ready for open house since we were selling our property. Tony was very knowledgeable and very experienced with all kinds of handyman work. Malcolm stopped by to check if everything was going to be done by the evening as discussed and for sure Tony did an excellent job finishing everything and no mess left behind. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Malcolm and Tony. They saw that I was in a time crunch to get everything done so my home is ready for open house and they made it possible. Thank you Style Revamp for making my home beautiful. They provided amazing service, very professional, and excellent prices. I highly recommend Style Revamp because they will work on your home like it is their own home. read more

Malcolm to the rescue! I called a lot of places and he was the only one willing to help me with my over the range microwave and was at my house in no time! My husband had been fighting with the microwave for weeks and finally through in the towel. Malcolm had that microwave up in no time...after he made a few fixes from our previous attempts. He definitely saved the day! Our microwave Jesus! read more

Malcolm Nicolson installed a dog door for me. He was very professional and experienced and I highly recommend him.

I recently hired Malcolm to help me with a long list of minor repairs around the house. He was able to meet with me within 48 hours to provide me with a quote. We walked through each item. He took copious notes, even asking me to pause until he had written everything down. We agreed to a cost (which was very reasonable) and he began working the following Monday. He explained how he was repairing the items and how they should function. He installed 10 light fixtures, a dishwasher, gas stove, microwave hood, removed the old appliances and more. He was pretty much spot on with his estimate of how long it would take him to finish the job. I was completely satisfied with his work and there were no surprises when the bill came. He immediately sends the bill via email upon completion and you can pay online using a credit card which h is really convenient. We are already starting a list of new projects that he can help us with. We've worked with a few handyman services. What I think really sets him apart is the quality of his work, his ability to work on a variety of things, that he is punctual, takes minimum breaks and leaves only after a full 8 hour day. read more
