I've been coming to style nails for years and would always recommend. They're still one of the most decently priced nail salons but it's so dusty and dirty in there now. I went once when they opened at 9 am and my arms were full of dust/powder from the day before. They really need to wipe down equipment, chairs, tables, everything. It's the week before Christmas. Only one nail tech. Walk ins welcome. I got there at 11 a.m the nail tech was with a client. He asked me to have a seat. I waited 30 minutes. I finally got up and said I will come back later. He then says wait. I will get somebody to help you. Why didn't he not tell me that while I was sitting down waiting and he never once acknowledge me just told me to have a seat not once. Wish I got the name of the lady who did both my dip and pedicure! My best friend goes to this location all the time and she suggested I try this place since my place is currently closed. I called style nails and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Only thing is I had an appointment at 4:30 for both a pedicure and dip. I didn't even stay to get my nails done. My sister goes here all the time, and I went over 4 years ago and it was ok then so I decided to go today. Came in and automatically got greeted which was ok, however when I asked if they take card they said they only took cash or Apple Pay. I was fine with that as they had an ATM in the nail salon. No what I had a problem with was while making sure they took Apple Pay as he said they can take card as well and like why change it up? I went in for an appointment to get my full set acrylics removed and do gel manicure and pedicure. The guy had me sit down and instead of soaking my nails and removing them properly he decided to pull them off. Well he ended up breaking open my real pinky nail. And cut my real nails short and square even though I said I wanted them rounded. The guy seemed like he didn't even want to be there and just rushing through the entire process. I love love love getting my nails done here! I am picky about my nails because I do a lot with my hands (and constantly wash them at work) but I would definitely recommend Style Nails! I have been going here for about three or four years now! I used to always be the last one there with them in the evenings as I would go after work. Then, my schedule changed and I was able to go a bit earlier. Now, I make a special trip on the weekends to go and it is always worth it! Thank you all for always doing a great job!!! John is my favorite, but honestly you will have a wonderful experience no matter who does your nails. Kim is good, Annie is good, Candy is good, and Emily is good(however, I think Emily only does toes). I had my little sister come home to tell me that her nail tech, John, who also appeared to be the only male in the salon, was being inappropriate towards her while don't her manicure. She is 16 years old and she stated that he even asked her how old she was when he proceeded to make weird and uncomfortable comments and jokes about her beauty/appearance. It was my first time here and I only wanted a basic pedicure which wherever I usually go is about $25-$27. But here it was $30 for the basic! Which idk is the basic cause she never really asked me. When I went to pay she said $30 I only had $29 cash because I didn't think it was gonna be more than that. When I said card instead the price went up to $37! They charged me $7 for using a debit card. Usually the fee is only $1-$3 wherever I've been. Turned us down, with a scheduled appointment! Couldn't believe our experience today at Style Nails after having so many other positive experiences here before! Got to our appointment (which happened to be their last of the day) and ended up coming in about 25 minutes late due to accidents and traffic on the freeway. We still arrived an hour before they were supposed to close and were the only 2 people they had to do for the night and there were two nail techs there. They closed at 7 and decided only to use one nail tech while the other was starting to tidy up for the night, so my friend was sitting waiting til I would be done. They started on one of us at about 6:05 and finished at about 6:30 when it would have been time to get started on my friends nails. She had been sitting there for 20 minutes already and they didn't ask her what she wanted until they were finished with mine. After finishing mine she finally asked my friend what she needed and saw that she still had nails on already that would either need to be soaked or filled to get a fresh set completed. She then proceeded to turn our business away stating she didn't have time to do her nails because they closed at 7, which was still 25 minutes from that point. We mentioned how she had been here waiting already for 20 minutes and that they should have asked her what she wanted when she walked In like they normally do, then they would have had time to soak and do her nails. We offered a nice tip if they would do her nails, which would only cause them to stay "open" a little later than 7, and she still refused. She then offered to try to pull them off and said it could hurt her, we obviously denied that offer... who wants to get their nails ripped off!? We left but came back In frustrated and asked them why they aren't taking service when they don't even close til 7. She just kept repeating they didn't have time and even admitted to stopping appointments after 5:30, which was when our appointment was. So if you are reading this, don't expect to get your nails done unless it's at least 2 hours before their closing...6:30 rolled along and they acted like we were a walk in expecting to get our nails done 10 minutes before closing. I'm a little bit shocked that some of the people here have a license to work in this industry. I do not recall the name of the woman that did my nails but I can say that she did a terrible job. All of my nails are lifting not even two weeks after being done. One has fallen off. She completely flooded my cuticles with acrylic and put no time of effort into shaping them. Seriously do not even bother with this nail salon!!! I have visited this nail salon a few times already and have been disappointed 3 out of the 4 times I have been here. I tried to like it because it is nice inside and the prices are pretty inexpensive but their service here is horrible! The one decent visit I had was because only one of the nail ladies knows what she was doing but other than that, every visit here with any other girl is no different nor better. This last visit was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Not only is the wait extremely ridiculous but their work balance sucks. After this excruciating pedicure, I finally complained to the only nail guy there, which I believe is the owner, and was extremely flabbergasted with his attitude and response. He BLAMED ME and told me it was my fault for asking her to remove my ingrown nails. I wasn't even asking for a discount, I just said I was upset about the service and he did not care. He told me "well oh well you should not have asked for the removal and your toes would have been fine, they look fine so your total is this." I was shocked and felt so disrespected! But oh wait, he then ordered me to take money out of the ATM because they want cash instead of card which doesn't make sense because their atm charges a higher fee to withdraw money when they have a square space app for debit cards. At this point I was just like wow. I did not want to make a scene but I left so upset and decided to call back to ask for the owner and the nail lady who answered asked me very rudely what I wanted. I told her I was upset and asked what they could do on their end about my polish work and she told me if they really had to repolish they would if not then that's it. Not even an apology or anything!
