Loved my hair color! Leticia is quite versed in color technology. She applied one tone of red to my roots and a different Demi permanent color to the remainder of my mane. We chatted about color care and maintenance. Clearly, red fades easily, so proper care is foremost. Leti also trimmed my ends, taking care not too cut too short (as I had asked her). I also loved getting my hair shampooed with a simultaneous mini-scalp massage. Most shampooers, scratch my scalp with their freakishly long nails or jolt me with a blast of frigid water on my head. I was very skeptical at first. It's a small salon. You can almost miss the plaza entrance since it's so narrow but I took the chance since I found a Groupon for haircut conditioning treatment and a blowout. I was up barged because my hair was thick, this is normal for me because my hair is a mess 99% of the time. She was super friendly with me, even recommended a small cafe while she finished another clients hair. Overall I love my haircut. I have bangs! I haven't had any type of bangs in seven years. Hello everybody, so I decided to express what happened to me last year on the month of July. I asked her to do a balayage just a rise up & she ended up doing highlights through my whole thin hair. I lost half of my hair & I have bought spots and I've been stressed ever since. Also she took about seven hours just to do highlights when she said it was a balayage and her price was super expensive 190 l$. It took me this long to actually express how I feel because I did not want to say negative about anybody but I cannot hold onto it long longer. I hurt every time because when I blow dry my hair I can see the growth all over my head after me taking biotin pills. I do not recommend this business!!! Be cautious who your hairstylist is! Somttim when you're in the business too long you're not aware of the gnu but also they are liars they always say they can do something and they end up fucking up! read more

Found this place on groupon and went to do my nails which came out great and is one of the cheapest places I have found for gel. As I was here I saw the owner does hair as well and was doing some highlights on a women there and they came out absolutely beautiful so I decided when it was time for me to get my haircut again i would come back here and try her out and I did just that . I called her yesterday and the same day she gave me an appointment, I was there for almost 4 hours but she did a beautiful job. The owner , Letty is very knowledgeable and such a sweetheart. She makes you feel at home and very welcoming. I told her I made cakes and she allowed me to leave business cards there , she also trusted me to make her cake for her birthday so I did and she absolutely loved it and keeps calling me for more of her granddaughters birthdays and occasions. Owner refused to credit half the monies for the poor, horrendous service. Had to go to another salon the next day. If you want poor service and pay premium dollars this is the place to go. Got a groupon for full highlights and a trim for $59. Should of figured what kind of result I would get at that initial price. The hairdresser was nice but obviously not use to working on blondes. After doing the full highlights, she insisted on putting a toner in my hair. The end result? A full head of brassy grayish hair turned into straw. Complete disaster. I'm devastated. Even got charged an extra $65 for the toner that ruined my hair. Never again. read more

I purchased a Groupon as a Christmas gift for my mom for a full set of highlights and a trim. I do not have words to express how disappointed I am with the services received. The hairdresser (I think her name was Lety) complained the entire time about how she barely gets paid with the Groupon and ended up charging my mom and additional $55 on top of the Groupon when my mom did not receive any additional services and has very short/thin hair. When she left the salon, it didn't even look like she had anything done to her hair. I am just appalled at the lack of professionalism at this hair salon. Stay away from this place! read more

Leticia also complained how Groupons shouldn't be used but it's just a scam because she is greedy for money. However, the hair stylists at Avant Garde fixed my hair and left it BEAUTIFUL. Well let me tell you that this lady doesn't know what she is doing, she is so unprofessional. She bleached my hair so much that she tore it apart and left me some strands of hair cut in half because she burnt it with product.
