Twice I have been here for thigh, bikini, partial Brazilian and both times had a WONDERFUL experience. The office staff are efficient, friendly, and accommodating. Elizabeth was the clinician that worked with me both times (I requested her again cause I loved her so much!) She is so effortlessly amazing. She is Fun and interesting to speak with and completes whatever waxing request you have with the utmost of professionalism and efficiency in as painless a manner possible. And very thorough. Not a stray hair! I have been to well over twenty waxing studios all over the country and this is by far one of the most wonderful studios I have been to. And VERY affordable. Many places offer good services but I would pay over $100 and I would have to book at least 1 week in advanced. Easy to walk in here during the early afternoons and I have paid well under $100 both times. And I don't have to go home and remove wax from myself all evening! I've been going to uni k wax for years and for the first time ever I tried someone new. I started my appointment by explaining to the new girl what exactly it was that I wanted and she did not listen to me. She left me with barely any hair and waxed so much the following day i had bumps all over my brows. Thankfully corporate did give me a refund. Sadly I will no longer be going there for brows. The wax itself was not bad, but the administration was super disorganized and there was a complete lack of attention to customer service and the actual flow of the office. Sunday AM was hectic and unpleasant. Upgrading software lead to an additional 20 minutes just to pay. read more

Amy was super nice and knowledgeable. This place is really clean. They do not use hard wax is more like a bee wax type. Clean beds, provided with cleansing wipe, stool to get up on bed and as small towel type material to cover. Can we talk about how amazing Elizabeth is? Not only is she the sweetest and most welcoming but she does an amazing job with my eyebrows. She has completely transformed them. I used to thread but they began to get very thin and little by little she has completely changed my eyebrows and help them come in. Thank goodness for her!! I also get my bikini waxed by her and she is the absolute best! Very little pain and really makes sure you come out clean and smooth. Not sanitary at all. I was in the middle of getting waxed and the esthetician's phone rang. She then reached into her pocket and answered her phone, proceeded to have a conversation, then hung up and put the phone back in her pocket and then continued to touch my face! I'm always very skeptical on finding a place to wax my lady parts. I'm new to the area, this place was close and had pretty good reviews, so I figured I'd give them a chance. Long story short, I probably won't be coming back again unless I'm feeling too lazy to drive anywhere else. Pros: Friendly enough staff, waxer removed all hair without a problem, prices are about average, wax itself seems to be of pretty good quality Cons: Wasn't given a cover to put over myself while waiting for the waxer to come back in, she didn't explain how they wax (all the places I've been have talked to me about this as a new client-I've been waxing for 6 years). My biggest complaint however (and the only reason I won't come back) is that they double dip their sticks. It's highly unsanitary. read more

Upon walking in, the salon was clean and the front desk personnel was very welcoming and happy. I was given a small plastic key fob thing by the front desk and she told me that" it was for a membership but not really...." (I later learned it was for a rewards program by reading a poster in the room where I was waxed) I was getting a Brazilian and full legs so I had to undress from the waist down. The table is set up right in front of the door so if you're not careful by covering up, someone could see you if the door is opened by your esthetician coming back In and someone is walking pass in the hallway and decides to look in. My esthetician was very friendly and the conversation was easy. Then I noticed that she was re-dipping the applicator in the wax after applying it to my skin. There was a huge wad of dried wax at the end of it. I thought throwing the wooden applicator away after each use was a standard thing due to sanitary issues? Just because of that, I don't think I'll be returning. :( read more

Because they are friendly and have the same attitude no matter how many times you go or the time. And they get the job done right, fast and minimal pain. Which is my favorite. I have been a uni k client for over 10 years. I have never had a bad experience until the last 2 visits. Town n country location is run poorly. The first time I came the waxer was late. I understood, it happens. The second visit I was bumped out of my appointment with no explanation except that the woman who walked in was pregnant. Both times since the waxer was late she was rushed and I had to point out hair she missed. Horrible experience is an understatement. I asked to speak to a manager and instead of being given any kind of apologies I am told that the waxer her name is Melissa by the way, does not want to take me as a client because I complained about the mistake that was done. The receptionist was Monica. I was told a manager would call me but I don't foresee this happening. Do not visit this location! Worst experience after 10 years of being a loyal client to Uni K, treated poorly and the worst customer service. read more

Waxing is such an intimate experience. I don't ever want to feel uncomfortable nor do I want to feel like I am being rushed. This is exactly how I felt when I visited this location. My first visit went okay and I figured I finally found a waxing place close to home I could go to. My next two visits were not so bad either. I liked one waxing lady a lot, but on my 3rd visit she was in a hurry. I was disappointed at the service. I asked her if she could wax an area again and I was told that she had someone else waiting. I felt like all she cared about was getting people in and out, and not about how comfortable or happy I, the client, was. Trying to be fair, I gave them one more shot. I called to make an appointment and the receptionist who picked up the line told me she couldn't help me right now because she was busy and that I should call back. Wow, really?? Never again. I just tried Uni K. Wax for the first time tonight and I have to say, WOW! This location at Town & Country is very clean and very nice. The staff is extremely professional and make you feel perfectly comfortable from the moment you walk in. Their hours are VERY convenient. They open until 7pm most week days and until 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays (main reason why I switched to them). Also, you can book your appointment online. I did my treatment with Veronica and she was amazing! Her "technique" and their special wax are the perfect combination for a minimally painful waxing experience! I was a virgin...never waxed before last October. I thought I'd give this place a whirl after reading the reviews on Yelp! Wow, I love this place! It is immaculate and truly feels and smells like a spa. The receptionist is always nice and informative. The prices are quite good considering what waxes run and they offer incentives as well as package deals. I was fortunate enough to read about how wonderful Veronica is and made my first appointment with her. It has been a wonderful experience and I haven't requested anyone else. She makes an uncomfortable experience seem like no big deal. Also, through, quick and painless. I've been coming here intermittently since 2012. I chose this location because it was closest to my house and I needed to desperately wax before a photo shoot. I've been to other waxing locations, and Uni K Wax isn't the fanciest or prettiest, but the staff is definitely great! I've done wax with different people and I've been pleased every time. This last wax was with Adriana and she was great. She made sure she covered all areas and removed the hair to the best of her ability. I'm very pleased with the results here! Book with Yadexis! She's absolutely the best. I've had about 8 waxers in my life and she is the best by far. Waxing is painful and can be more painful if the esthetician is not confident in what she is doing. Promise me, it won't be painless (it never will be) but it'll be close to it. You will be in and out in 15 min. That makes it better! Tip that I learned: when you know that they are about to pull the wax.. Cough! You won't feel anything. I came here for my first ever wax experience. I got my underarms, full Brazilian , and legs done from the knees down. Overall the experience was mediocre. It was my first time so I was extremely nervous. My tech was Lina. She was polite but didn't really say much, even after learning it was my first time. I think better customer service would have been to guide me through the process and offer tips and advice on how to care for the skin and maintain results. The whole thing took less than 45 minutes. There were small patches left on my legs and lady bits. I had to remind the receptionist that it was my first time in order to get the discount. No samples. I guess because it's natural, the wax has a funny smell. I went to European Wax Center for my 2nd time and the experience there was wonderful. Overall, I probably won't return here. read more

She didn't bother talking or explaining to me the process. She automatically began waxing just when I laid down. During the waxing process my biggest complaint is she would double dip the stick.
