Lately, there seemed to be a price jump and their aesthetics have changed. It's definitely more fussier with less office wear. I feel they're more targetting someone in California than someone in Toronto. The storefront reminds you of a boutique storefront that took over an old Victorian home. Instead of an open modern space, the store is cut into small rooms and it's very hard to get an idea of all the clothes available. Im sure I've missed out on some decent pieces ever since they changed to this way. As for the quality and costs, I think the quality has held over time but the costs certainly have gone up. A short sleeved flowy cotton top $150? Simple cotton shift is $180? None of these designs have intricate stitching or designs.... they're all simple basics. Yes they are better than Banana Republic but are they 3 times better? No. As for service, I find it hit and miss. Sometimes you'll have a really nice and helpful staff and then the other times, a dismissive bored staff who is constantly on their phone. I think I've stopped consistently coming to Club Monaco once they moved to their new spot and changed their staff. Sometimes they have good deals and you can find a decent item but with all the recent changes, good luck finding it!

The customer service has been consistently great whenever I come in and their always ready to serve you whether you buy something or not. I always find that some of their stores elsewhere are a bit of a snob (and I have an issue about that, thus I do not go back there unless I really have to) but this store is welcoming. So that is a MAJOR plus. And the selections are spread out really nicely and I like the look the new store has compared to the other ones I saw. And oh, they have a little display of pre-loved/vintage chanel pieces if your interested. Which I never knew they carried!

Their staff is nice- Vickie is my favourite. She works for the client and can find the little gem you missed as you pushed aside hangers. They have good sales- they don't just discount the stuff nobody wants.(Although there isn't much of that here)When i have out-of-town visitors- I always bring them here- and for the most part-they don't leave empty-handed. My habit before seeing a concert at the latter is to visit the former. The downside is that I can never buy everything that I want because Massey Hall has a strict policy on what you can bring into the venue. Can you believe that candy isn't allowed?! Anyway, after calling it a day eating and shopping with my friend at Square One a few weeks ago, I was heading back to entrance 1. I saw this Urban Outfitters. It was calling my name, so I went into the store. This store is massive! I guess that it makes sense. The downtown Toronto location has two floors. This store is one long, deep store with a ton of merchandise. There's a lot that I like about Urban Outfitters. It has electronic devices that I once had when it was trendy, but updated to be cool and current. I still have my old portable cassette player. I got a clear one at Urban Outfitters and love it. The vinyl section is nice. It's reminiscent of my roaming the huge record stores along Yonge Street. The only difference is how expensive vinyl is these days. I saw Peanuts socks. They made me happy. I oddly don't own any. I do like the handbags here. They are generally lightweight. I have one that I travel with. It's so light that I barely notice that it's with me. I liked the crescent-shaped bags. One had Sanrio characters on them. I like the style of these bags. The problem was that the strap on it wasn't long enough to make it look like a normal-looking crossbody bag on me. Bummer! The price was also steep at $70 for a non-Sanrio bag and an extra five dollars for Sanrio. The clearance items are at the back of the store. It's worth browsing because you can find some cool deals. I saw a lavender bucket hat that was a bit fuzzy. I held it in my hand. A friendly male staffer came over to check on me. "Hi, there! Did you need any help?" he asked me. "Yes, where's a mirror that I can use?" I asked. It was perfect timing. I was also in an area where there weren't any mirrors. He directed me to one in a different part of the store. I thanked him. I like bucket hats. They suit me. They also tend to fit my large skull. This one did perfectly and in a colour that I love. It was also heavily reduced in price. Yay! I had the same nice man at the checkout. He asked whether I was registered as a customer. I knew that I was stateside. I didn't know if I was here. He found my phone number in the system. Yay! I paid with a credit card. All was good. He gave me a reusable bag that was free with purchase. Double yay! I thanked him and happily left with my purchase. This store was a nice find. Parking and customer service are better here. I'd return to check out more cool items, like boba night lights and bookmarks. (193)

Took the half an hour drive here looking for a dress to wear to a wedding. Wonderful selection and…read moremany various and unique dresses in so many sizes and flattering styles. They allow you to browse the store and start a fitting room. There's isn't much sales pressure and there is always a dedicated attendant to assist you with zipping up the dress. I felt comfortable and assisted in the right way when needed. I found a dress I was in love with, however it was in a rough condition. The sales lady tried her best to alter and steam the issue and even assisted with better pricing to offset the minor issue. I walked away and went for a coffee and browsed a few other stores, when I realized the way these dresses fit my body at this store is nothing like the other big boxed stores for straight and narrow body types. I came back and just purchased the dress immediately. Great help from Deana and her boss Reena.
