300 post!! It deserves to be about something I'm very passionate about. Salvation Army is my go to…read morefor goods donations. I love their ideology which is creating an organization to meet the needs of all humans without discrimination. They happily accept accessories, antiques, collectibles, clothing, electronics, computers, housewares, media and books, seasonal items, textiles and toys. There are a few things they do not accept due to sanitary reasons and I suggest if you're not too sure always visit their website to check before heading there. I'm a firm believer in decluttering off and on-I really don't set a specific time of the year to do that I just do it whenever I feel the need. And that gently used goods will make a difference to someone's life tomorrow just gives me a sense of joy. I highly recommend that you check all the donations well before handing them over. For clothing I generally check if there any rips or broken buttons. And for toys I generally check the condition and if they are working properly. These are my two mains. They drop off is pretty Convenient. You just go behind the store and you can leave at their back door. As the world has become more conscious and preloved stuff is becoming more and more common. I love buying silver silverware and crockery from here. I have bought some gorgeous antique silverware from here and some beautiful bone china crockery for a fraction of cost. This location has plenty of parking in front of it. The staff is friendly. Not sure about exchanges but it's best to ask before buying. This location is fairly clean.

So it's nice to have one around but honestly their inventory is so so limited..don't get much variety in clothing or home stuff. Any time I have tried looking for a bedding set I don't have much luck. I usually go there once in a while to see if they have anything good. Anytime I need to buy stuff for an occasion and seasonal gifts I try going to the one on Argentia which is so well stocked. Out of all the departments in this location my favorite has been their jewelry section I have been able to find some really gorgeous pieces at this store. I think the customer volume isn't that much so you can still find a few things that stay..in busier location they get picked right away. Overall I love the staff here they are very helpful and friendly.Even if the lines are backed up they are very good in clearing them up pretty quick. It's located in the same plaza as Shoppers drug mart-lots of parking.

Maxx and then Winners, it's pretty obvious. The layout and products are basically the same! Winners offers high quality brands at an extremely discounted price in clothing, dish-ware, shoes, furniture, organic and unique food, beauty products, and home decoration. Now, I am not a brand junkie or anything, but I've personally found that name brand clothing (like Guess jeans, for example) just FIT better, last longer, and are just higher quality. So if I can get a $120 pair of Guess jeans for $15, not only will I, but I'll will be forced to restrain myself from jumping up and down in the store. Not everything is worth the price tag, but some (if not most) are, and it's absolutely worth a moment of your time to stop in and browse. The only other thing I have to add is that every Winners has mostly the same selection, but some have things the others do not. For example, this Winners is pretty good all around, but the Winners on Matheson Blvd has mens designer suits! Basically my policy is, if we're in a town and pass a Winners, assuming we have time, we almost always stop in for at least a browse. It's almost like high brow thrift shopping.

Saks OFF 5TH - They sell second hand luxury brands from LXR and Co at this location. Each bag was still over $1000, lol.

This…read moreparticular Saks Off 5th outlet replaced the old Hudson's Bay outlet, and can be found right across from the Brooks Brothers, Guess, and Kate Spade outlet stores, in the western portion of the outlet plaza. Overall, a bit disappointing. Some products also looked suspiciously similar to the stock on the shelves when the Hudson's Bay outlet was still around a few months ago. Granted, they did move some things around. The shoe section is now at the back, and a wider accessories section is now located to the right of the store (includes watches). There's a bit of a slightly (but very, very slightly) more upscale feel than the Hudson's Bay outlet used to have, with some higher-end brands like Valentino, Christian Dior, and Lanvin sparsely spotted at the shoe section or the accessories section - however, be warned that while there area variety of brands, product selection itself is very, very limited, and personally, the products didn't appeal to me at all. Other brands like Rebecca Minkoff (I didn't spot any of her classics - just one-off purses with her name slapped on it) and Marc Jacobs can also be spotted. Steve Madden, Jessica Simpson, Coach, also form a pretty significant portion of the brands that can be found at this location. I also found a Kate Spade purse for $149 at this location, that I found for $129 at the outlet a couple doors down. Overall, pretty underwhelming. I'm sure if you looked hard enough, you could potentially find something that may remotely appeal to you, within a reasonable price range, but while there were a decent amount of brands available, selection within each brand was disappointing. The store overall didn't feel anything special, and felt way too remarkably similar to other department stores in the GTA. If you want a more upscale feel, head to the actual Saks Fifth Avenue at the Eaton Centre/Sherway.
