This is a review for the Saks Off 5th located at the Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills. This particular Saks Off 5th outlet replaced the old Hudson's Bay outlet, and can be found right across from the Brooks Brothers, Guess, and Kate Spade outlet stores, in the western portion of the outlet plaza. Overall, a bit disappointing. Some products also looked suspiciously similar to the stock on the shelves when the Hudson's Bay outlet was still around a few months ago. Granted, they did move some things around. The shoe section is now at the back, and a wider accessories section is now located to the right of the store (includes watches). There's a bit of a slightly (but very, very slightly) more upscale feel than the Hudson's Bay outlet used to have, with some higher-end brands like Valentino, Christian Dior, and Lanvin sparsely spotted at the shoe section or the accessories section - however, be warned that while there area variety of brands, product selection itself is very, very limited, and personally, the products didn't appeal to me at all. Other brands like Rebecca Minkoff (I didn't spot any of her classics - just one-off purses with her name slapped on it) and Marc Jacobs can also be spotted. Steve Madden, Jessica Simpson, Coach, also form a pretty significant portion of the brands that can be found at this location. I also found a Kate Spade purse for $149 at this location, that I found for $129 at the outlet a couple doors down. Overall, pretty underwhelming. I'm sure if you looked hard enough, you could potentially find something that may remotely appeal to you, within a reasonable price range, but while there were a decent amount of brands available, selection within each brand was disappointing. The store overall didn't feel anything special, and felt way too remarkably similar to other department stores in the GTA. If you want a more upscale feel, head to the actual Saks Fifth Avenue at the Eaton Centre/Sherway. read more

NOT worth the drive to Hornby/Halton Hills/Premium Outlets! Shittier than Vaughan Mills, if that's even possible. Honestly, other than merchandising, there is not much difference between this new Saks Off 5th Vs. Hudson's Bay, what it replaced. Actually, I'm lying. Hudson's Bay "The Room" had higher-end stuff! Purses were crappy labels that I've never heard of. No perfumes. Garbage costume jewelry. Shoes, omg, don't even get me started on that! MORE than half of the shoes I was looking at were in the wrong box, so you think you're getting a deal by the price tag on the box, but then look at the bottom of the shoe, and it is literally hundreds of dollars more in one case. Isabel Marant wedge sneakers were in a $99.99-129.99 box while label on sole was $599.99. WHY is this happening? Sunglasses were disgusting, but expensive. More than half of them had some grime, smudges, thick ass stains from grubby hands on the lenses. Not shelling out even $100 on dirty stuff! I don't have a glowing review of this Saks "discount" store. I didn't see any significant discounts to write home about. Frankly, I am not a fan of Saks because items are overpriced right off the bat. I never shopped there in the States and I have yet to buy anything from the store in Canada. I thought that I may have a shot at breaking this streak at this discount location. Nope, even the prices at this store are outrageous with the markdowns. I checked out the designer handbags. They have been reduced, but not by a ton (22% helps, but not by much when your handbag is $400). I have better handbags that have soft and supple leather that what I saw and touched today. The handbags that I own are of much better quality than any of the leather handbags I saw in this store, at a fraction of the price. It was a bad idea for Hudson's Bay to turn its outlet store to a Saks Off 5th store. With the old store, I liked the merchandise more and could afford it. I won't be dropping by this store. My experience was a lot more positive than the other reviewers BUT it could have just been a hit and miss kind of thing. My friend had visited on Good Friday and I guess because shoppers may not have known it was open, it wasn't too busy. She did, however, indicate that it gets very occupied on the weekends. Anyway, two of my other friends and I decided to drive out there on a Monday morning - good thing because it turned out to be fairly light. As Stephanie S. indicated, there were bags with unknown labels that weren't very appealing; however, there was a couple of Valentino bags, Vince Camuto and Michael Kors. It did have a huge shoe selection but the shoes weren't properly boxed - still, good deals though. My friend bought a pair of Bandolino flats for $60 and a pair Saks' brand sandals for $70. The clothing was a mix between high end and lower end brands; there was a beautiful Valentino lace skirt for $139 but, unfortunately, it wasn't my size : ( Hands down, the best part of the store was the denim section. If you're a size 24, 25 or 26, you'd be in luck because there was a huge selection of premium denim under $130. There was not too much in the more common sizes (28, 29, 30) but I was lucky enough to find of a pair of 7 For All Mankind (Gwenevere/skinny) jeans for $130! Staff were fairly friendly and just kind of left us alone. Checkout wasn't an issue either. I would definitely go back in the near future! read more

I visited the Sherway gardens location today I found a pair of shoes on the ladies display all 3pairs priced at $69.99 asked employee to find my size and she was very helpful and we managed to find my size. In the process she learned that the shoes prices with the wrong ticket...not one pair but all. She informed management and relayed to me that manager told her if I wanted the shoe I need to pay the correct original price that was suppose to be on the shoes.whatttttt....in what country am In??I waited at checkout for the store manager by the name of Urania and in the process of waiting...the other shoes disappeared from The floor luckily for me another customer had picked up a pair before she could have the error price removed.The manager then came and told us both that the shoes had the wrong ticket (which was already explained by the sale associates) and she said she couldn't do anything about it. (Remember she told the sales girl already)Both the other customer and I said that was a store error and she needed to honour the price tag.She then took both pairs to the back room and from what it felt like forever.... came back with ONLY my pair with an old price tag $69.99 that said adidas (not the tag that was originally on the shoes)but a tag that was barely sticking to the shoe ....that's how old it was . She said it's an incorrect tag and all she could do was give 10%off the original shoe price . She did not return the other pair to the customer it was still in the back "investigated " We both asked for the other shoe she took to back so i could take a picture and she said no but She let me take a pic of the shoe she removed the tag and found a used adidas tag with the same price. couldn't believe it !!!!I have never ever experienced a situation like this in any retail store in my life and I shop regular everyday type of stores to very high end stores. The young employees are very kind and helpful but strangely enough the 2 young SA's ...the one originally ..found the error n let the manager know and the cashier checking me out had both disappeared from the floor & register, along with all the other wrongfully marked shoes on the floor. Honestly as I'm writing this I can't believe it....u can't make this stuff up wowowow I will never give a penny to this store again. Urania (manager) decided it's better to save a big store $$ on error made under her supervision ("Urania" name she gave)felt it was better to lie and mislead two of her customers then to honour the ticketed price on all the same shoes .If I hadn't asked the SA to find my size ...and she hadn't looked on the computer (register)" luckily for the unprofessional Urania "she has a great quick staff that found an error that the manager "Urania "should have found long before it hit the floor . The shoes would still be priced incorrectly But instead the store manager decide to remove the two sales associate from the floor, lied to two different customers and waisted about hmmm40mins of my day . I didn't even think a manager at any company could be so misleading and unprofessional...but a big American company that just opened doors in Toronto 2months unbelievable . (I asked her "did u remove the othEr shoes from the floor that had the same price ....she replied "I don't know what happen to the shoes" ) heyyy atleast she didn't lie to my face Hopefully they replace management @ this location ....because the sales associates on the floor r very friendly and honest unlike the manager they unfortunately have to answer 2 . First off, bless your soul if you have the courage to buy online at saks off fifth. My journey begins when I saw a YSL scarf in stores and when I went back to get it a few weeks later they were out of stock. Since I had already seen the product I decided to buy through their online store. After buying it I got a confirmation email saying that I will receive a email when my item has been shipped. The confirmation email also says "Please note that we will not charge your payment method until we have shipped your order". I had found that my card was immediately charged and I had still not received the shipping status email. After four days I called to check what the status of my order was (thinking that I had just not received the order). WOW, was I in for a great time. If you've had the pleasure of dealing with the calling centre you might know that they are extremely unhelpful and rude. I provided my order number and the lady from the call centre asked if I properly knew how to place an order online and if it was on the Canadian website (I'm located in Canada). To which I responded "yes I feel competent enough to fill out an online order and the order summary was even in Canadian dollars". She felt as if that was rude so she made sure to let me know how she felt. "Ma'am it was a simple question you don't need to be rude". The stuff the lady was saying sounded like it was straight out of their costumer service manual -- dodging my questions. it was explained to me that the order was "cancelled" and that it never went through. (LOL how did that happen?! My card still got charged). I was wondering why my card got charged for an item I was never going to receive. The lady explained that it is some sort of "pre-authorized" charge. (OOOOOOKKAYY but email said otherwise). Anyways I am still waiting for my money to be returned. Moral of the story, this is the saddest attempt of a scam I've ever seen. They just hope you forget about your item and that they can pocket the money.
