I have been dealing with Taurus International for some time now...Thought you should know about their customer service noted with a synopsis of my story below. The 24/7 Pro Pistol, like all Taurus pistols, is supposed to have a lifetime warranty. It is also supposed to be covered under a lawsuit/court order for repair/replacement. To Taurus Firearms, In November 2016, I mailed my 24/7 Pro pistol, at my own cost, in for warranty repair. After 6 months and no repair or return of my pistol, I had to contact you with the letter below, (he letter was sent May 2017). In June 2017, I was contacted by a Taurus representative and arranged for selection of a replacement pistol. Then after another delay, I was asked for my FFL information, which I provided June 8th (below). Now, once again, it has been another 6 months with no word from Taurus International and no replacement or repair. Where is my replacement? Sorry, but you are about to witness the worst nightmare of advertising for Taurus International, as I plan to present this story to the world on every gun forum and every gun dealership that carries your pistols. You have taken advantage of your customers and this is not a business style that should survive. Very sincerely, Joseph H __________ 5th May, 2017 Taurus International - Repair 16175 NW 49Ave Miami, FL 33014 To whom it may concern, On Nov, 1, 2016, I shipped my 9mm 24/7 Pro S/S via UPS to your repair shop for repairs, covered under your lifetime guarantee, due to issues with frequent stove piping and jamming. Tracking #1z87_________, shipment ID MA1_________. According to your lifetime warranty on all your pistols the repairs would be covered and estimation times of repair would be approximately 6 weeks. After patiently waiting, I did not receive my pistol back. I thus call the Taurus Office and was informed that a class action lawsuit was in progress regarding several pistol models and mine was included in this lawsuit. I was told that I could not be given any other information, but rather, I was referred to the web page. As you well know, 7/18/2016 was the date for the final approval hearing and it would appear that the settlement was to repair or replace the handguns in question. The gun owner was provided other options as well within the settlement. I am sure there now legal delays that are in the works. However, as the gun owner, I do not believe that I should have to be put through such delays. I have currently waited 6 months and I am now requesting one of two actions be taken by you: a), You honor your lifetime warranty, (which is still in effect and legally binding), to repair my firearm and ship it back promptly. Then, when the case fully settles I will make a decision on replacement, or other, as settled by the court. OR... b). Replace the handgun with a similar model that is not a safety hazard, as outlined in the settlement agreement. I have enjoyed owning the 24/7 Pro, but it is not right that Taurus has "put on hold" their warranty for repair during this time, which likely will take years/decades. Holding my firearm indefinitely is not an option to me. Your prompt response will be appreciated. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Joseph H
