Everything looked brand new it was so clean. The place is a motel so my expectations of the amenities weren't that of a 5 star hotel, but it had everything we needed- a bed, a night stand, an alarm clock, a mini fridge, a microwave, an air conditioner, a hair drier, ice available, a dresser and it's own private bathroom. It had a flat screen TV too but we did not use it. The motel is right on the road but the road noise did't bother us. We would definitely recommend The Wedgewood Motel to anyone who was attending the Brimfield Antique Show or any other actives in the area. It's a no frills place but it is incredibly clean and well maintained. Tip - We called ahead of our stay to reserve our room which worked out well for us.

Just a short drive away is a nice little hike (The Rock House Reservation) as well as a pond with a restaurant right at it. Also, the local pumpkin festival just happened the day we arrived. There are no windows on the street side. Just doors. Looked run down. But we were pleasantly surprised when we entered our room. First the rooms are nothing extraordinary. This is a cheaper base motel. We paid less than 100 for the night. But they were clean, floor to ceiling clean. I noticed because the room has a sloped rafter ceiling and there wasn't a single cobweb or bug in sight. And i realized someone mist take the time to clean them. So the rooms are clean, beds comfortable enough and pillows ok. I brought my own as usual. Big picture window in the back facing the river so plenty of light. And a second door for going out the back if you want to take a walk down to the water. The bathroom is small but the whole wall is mirrored with another large well lit mirror in the room. And the shower was hot hot hot through two people. The only thing i didn't enjoy was the shower head was more of a mist than a spray. The host was pleasant and check in went fast. We did have to get ice before 11 because the ice is located in the main office which shuts down at 11. So bring your own or get it before bed if you need it. This was not what i expected and it turned out it was a very decent place to stay last minute. Would stay there again while in the area.

It's not the worst place we've stayed, but nowhere near the best. Adequate? Sure I guess. It's a place to sleep who's prime is well behind it. Single level living, small clean and surprisingly quiet rooms and a big mowed green area behind it with a lazy river (that holds fish) beyond that. Our room was well past tired. Peeling wall finishes, rusty bathroom drains, marks and dents on the walls. I don't mind old, but old and run down are something else and this motel is pushing that line pretty hard. There is absolutely nothing to do in the area unless you get in the car for a half hour so thankfully the TV worked. We didn't try the WiFi but had a pretty reasonable cell signal. Bed and pillows were comfortable and clean. The towels were think and scratchy. The office which is supposed to be warm and welcoming is cluttered to the point of being stifling. The owner seemed nice but I don't think that is enough. Oddly enough I would stay there again but only for lack of something better.

I'm guess they picked the place up cheap given the location. I have a rental outside and there is a small lot. I'm pretty worried it's gonna get taken. I walked down to the game and it was pretty sketchy. By that I mean similar to Philly. So if you are from around Kensington you won't mind but if you're trying to vacation....
