My family decided to take my mother-in-law here for her birthday. She had gotten pizza here another time for her friend's birthday and wanted to go here with us for her birthday. There were 6 of us, and we decided to meet up for dinner around 6:30pm on a Thursday. When we walked in, restaurant portion was pretty empty, and we had plenty of tables to choose from. Connected to Stuft is their lounge area for 21+ only; that place was more crowded. Food: For the 6 of us, we decided to order two XL pizzas (12 slices each) as well as the cheesy bread and a basket of french fries. Cheesy Bread - This is like a small pizza covered with cheese. It was cheesy and good, but I wish it came with some pizza sauce to dip. it came with a side of ranch to dip. French Fries - Pretty standard fries here, nothing to rave about. could used some more salt. XL Stuft Specialty Pizza - This is Stuft's version of a combination pizza. The pizza was all right, but there were no olives on the pizza. My husband and his brother weren't too happy about that. Felt like it could have had more flavor. XL Pizza - Half Garden Pizza - This pizza is a white sauce pizza with tons of veggie toppings on it. I loved that there were tons of toppings on it, but it lacked salt I think. XL Pizza - Half Maui Pizza - This is a Hawaiian pizza that comes with the traditional canadian bacon and ham, but add in some pepperoni, tomatoes, cilantro, and green onions. Again, lots of toppings on the pizza, but missing some salt or more flavor. Also, for some reason, the chili pepper flakes on the table didn't have any flavor or spice to it. That could have helped the pizzas. Service: The lady behind the counter was nice and informative when I asked any questions. The food also came out hot and quickly. There wasn't too much interaction beyond ordering our food and receiving it. TL;DR - Decent pizza with nice service. This might have been an off-day for them, so I'd likely come back and try it again. read more

I'm a huge fan of Stuff Pizza! This place is a gem and a great place to come by for games, beer, and most of all.. PIZZA! Their pizza is great tasting all around. It's pan crust with a nice buttery garlic bite. Their vegetables are fresh on top and the pizza is baked perfectly. Their wings can be a bit better but they'll do. The skin is a bit soggy and not freshly crisp. Their mozzarella sticks have a nice crunchy outer bread layer that is different than all the others I've had. Grab a seat next to the big screens and enjoy their pizzas along with beer next door! The customer service here at Stuft is excellent too. They are friendly and super helpful. We love this place, and it's easily become our go to pizza parlor. Eat in options are great- good seating, good drink and tv for sports fans, but we almost always get take out. The appetizer options are amazing (they have a great fry cook) and the pizza is fresh and delicious. We usually get pepperoni and the Hawaiian (Carmen Miranda) on a regular crust. If you want half and half options, there's a way to do it online but it involves providing special instructions. I usually just call in the order. Went here to watch the NBA finals game 6 Warriors vs Raptors. The place was packed but the hostess still tied to get us seated. The place, albeit looking like mostly a restaurant, the seating area was stacked with TVs like a sports bar. Loved the open atmosphere for watching sports but the food and beers is what does it for me. The pizza choices are very unique and love it. The pizza served reminds me of how pizza but used to taste as a kid. It's what brought me and my family in every Sunday after church. It's that crisp buttery crust and delicious toppings. They have an ample variety of beers local and from elsewhere. Lastly, they are connected with IBC bar. Love this place and want to return when I'm back in the area. read more

Stuft Pizza maybe San Jose's best kept secret but not for long. Stuft is located and tucked away off of Montague in North San Jose. Parking is tight because Stuft is well stuffed with satisfied customers. Stuft offers a fantastic line-up of pizzas, plus they have sides and a salad bar. There are about 20 or so TVs with sports playing all around you. Add to that a championship caliber selection of Beers, Ales, and IPAs and Stuft is great weeknight and weekend get together. They offer Gluten Free crusts as well as a Dairy-Free & Vegan cheese. Stuft is the total package and worthy of celebrating any occasion. read more

First of all, the mozzarella sticks are unbelievably good. Easily the best I've had anywhere! The pizzas are classic American loaded pizzas with a crunchy crust. The food absolutely deserves a full 5 stars, maybe even 6. However, I came for the first time to watch an nba game (it was a big game) since the interior has a ton of screens. The majority of the tables had people sitting there clearly to watch the game (wearing jerseys). All the TV's were on mute with only awkward elevator music playing lightly over the speakers. When I asked a server if we could turn the sound on even just a little bit the server apologized and said they're not allowed to turn the sound on at all. The server was kind about it but they two quietly agreed that this policy is ridiculous since the place was full of people trying to enjoy pizza, beers and the game. Now, I should've checked their closing hours but I and the rest of the tables were shocked when halftime arrived and the entire place was closed down and we were told to leave. We finished the game at home. I haven't returned to eat in person ever again. I'm not going to stay and drink beers with friends while listening to stale acoustic cover bands surrounded by a bunch of silent TVs with sports. If you want to be a sports pizza bar, let your staff turn the sound on at least for big games. If you want to be a sit down restaurant, your ambiance needs some serious work. read more

I've only had pizza from here 3 times (once indoors before COVID and twice that we ordered to-go), but I think that's enough times to be able to post a review. The first time I came here, I was able to sit down. I remember there were a lot of people because there was a game on. The pizza was actually done in about 10-15 minutes and it was very hot and fresh! The second and third time I had ordered to-go due to COVID. Both times, I noticed that it took so much longer for the pizzas to be done compared to when you order in and eat at the restaurant. When you call in to order, they say that the pizza will take about 25 minutes! I do really like their pizza! They put a good amount of cheese and not too much sauce. I really like that their sauce isn't too sour either! It's great they don't skimp on toppings, but they are a little pricey. One thing that I do appreciate is that you can do half-half with the pizzas; which is what we usually end up doing. When we order a medium pizza and do a half-half, it's usually around $30. It used to be $16.99 but I understand that rent costs are not cheap in this area so it's fair to raise the prices over the years. It's still a great deal! Pizza and beer?! Sign me up!! This place was super packed because we came during a game day (Basketball, Football, AND Hockey). We had to park in the plaza across and walk over. It was a little hard finding a table but we got lucky! I think it's cool how there's a bar on the other room. I heard you're not supposed to bring drinks over to the pizza side. Recently ordered via Doordash and okay gotta make a review because that was the most STACKED pizza I have ever had -- the Cornucopia and it includes PINEAPPLES! (YES) What a fitting name, here's what the Cornucopia has: pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, salami, sausage, red onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, olives, and pineapple. Definitely recommend! They have 28 types of pizza, can't wait to try more. The pizza/ crust is pretty thick and how I like it. Prices are kinda high, but they definitely aren't stingy with the toppings! So much beer, so many sports, on so many TVs. Options, options, options! If you like a quiet place with limited sensory input, Stuft Pizza is not for you. But, if loud, high energy, and sportsy is your thing, you will love this place. Little excites me as much as a great menu to explore and a great beer list. The pizza here is good, very good. But, for me the real draw is the diverse beer selection. Stuft and IBU Tap Room are joined at the hip, er the door. It's against the rules to bring the beer from one place to the other. But, you can order pizza at Stuft and carry it to IBU anytime. And if you like the beer list at Stuft, you will find IBU to be paralysis-of-analysis inducing. I have sampled the Stuft Special, the Cornucopia and the Stuft Pesto Sticks. All were very good. Stuft Pesto Sticks are only $12 and plenty for one person if you don't want to spend the $16 for the cheapest personal pizza. All are worthy sacrifices to the carb gods. I *want* to give 4.5 stars to Stuft Pizza, cuz it's just a touch above a four, but not quite a five for me. If the pizza compared to New York or Chicago native creations, I'd be giving it a 5.
