Excellent! Would recommend this location to everyone. Family Owned and operated. The ice cream and pastries are wonderful.

My hot flat white was hot. My hot latte was room temp. Guess the barista doesn't know how to use the milk steamer? The coffee was sour, not milk sour but bean sour. I can't believe I'm saying this, but just go to Tim Hortons instead. You would save so much money, and have a much better coffee.

That was last Saturday and today is the first day I don't have dia**hea. I brought it back to the bar. Several waitresses and a manager (or owner?) came to my table and apologized profusely. They said they'd take care of the bill. I assumed they'd cover my guest as well. I was still in shock, so I didn't check my receipt. I just was my credit card receipt, and they only reimbursed my meal - I guess that's right since I didn't eat it all. They did give me 3 cookies and they were delicious. My body turned those to liquid for later evacuation. We are suffering from a serious service problem and a severe lack of resolution. I really need to learn to make a bigger fuss. It's too bad that a more vocal person that me would have gotten more out of this. Terribly embarrassing. PS: I didn't take a photo as I was busy spitting out what was in my mouth in front of my friend.

Such a lovely chocolate store where all their chocolate are made in house by owner Lois!…read more Both the shopkeeper and her assistant are very upbeat and friendly. I love the energy and decor of this place! They really put a lot of thought into product placements and the whole store gives off such a warm and colourful vibe! Easter rabbits and hundreds of chocolates to choose from. There are also designer stainless steel water bottles, mugs, teas, filters, two pots and cups to buy, with famous artworks from the Group of 7, Van Gogh's Starry Starry Night and the Birth of Venus to name a few!! Check in and you will get a free truffle or a piece of designer chocolate!! I chose Dark Raspberry for mine and what a treat it was. I felt so special that I stayed and talked with the assistant for almost an hour as we bought some chocolates and drank some hot chocolate!! They use soy milk to cater to all needs and they have both regular, milk and dark Lindt chocolate options and cream can be added. They were recently awarded the Best Hot Chocolate in Lakefield and the Kawarthas, so you should really come check this place out if you are a local or just visiting/passing by!! The business been around for over 13+ years!! You can easily park at the Foodland market next door and walk up the pathway. Signage is very clear. Would definitely recommend!

They have a variety of chocolates from truffles to bars to these cute little chocolate high heeled shoes on a shiny photo frame. My absolute favourite was the hot chocolate which is all milk and melted chocolate. So rich and soooo creamy! Mhmmm. Don't forget to Check In because the Check In Offer is one free chocolate! :)

When this business was The Buttertart Factory, it was amazing. I'm not quite sure what's going on,…read morebut the standards have fallen drastically while the prices have climbed. It's very disappointing. For a while, I lived for their apple fritters. In May of 2024, I discovered that they no longer put apples in their apple fritters -- perhaps as a cost-saving measure. My family purchased half a dozen fritters, which turned out to be nothing but large slabs of dough with a cinnamon glaze. In June, all varieties of fritters (thankfully) appear to have been removed from the menu. The butter tarts, which once had a flaky pastry and an insanely good, buttery filling, have become worse than the generic tarts found in a No Frills supermarket. Clearly, costs are clearly being cut. Worst of all, the location (in Druro) has added an extremely pricey take-out stand. One of my friends paid a whopping 16 dollars for a chicken burger. No fries, no drink: just a piece of lettuce, a tomato, a gob of mayo and (an admittedly large) slice of fried chicken on a bun. I believe that the owners see this as an easy money grab, as they serve those commuting to Bancroft and back during cottage season. You'd think that for 16 dollars a pop for a chicken burger the owners would provide more than an outhouse to customers. You'd also hope that they'd make sure the outhouse was serviced often enough to prevent feces from piling to the rim. Nope. For obvious reasons, I will be ending my patronage of this establishment.

My son loves the cinnamon buns! Not much gluten free wise, they bring in gluten free tarts which…read moreare delicious of course just be nice to see more options. Friendly staff always.

Bad experience. We were on our way to Montreal from Peterborough when we thought to stop into this…read morebeautiful town and take a coffee break. Not sure how to characterize it so I'll just describe the experience. We (two people) wanted to order a a regular coffee, an iced coffee and a bagel with cream cheese. The lady, after listening to the first item, just went back to make it. In the meantime, another lady came and asked if we mind getting another customer ringed up. We were like, sure! In some time, the first lady came back with the iced coffee and asked if that was it. Now, I don't know why a barista would assume an order of just one coffee between two people. I said I'd like a regular coffee as well. And before I could continue to order the bagel with cream cheese, she turned around to pour the regular one. In the meantime, the other lady came again asking us if we'd be okay with another customer ringed up. It was a bit weird (certain customers made to wait while others allowed to skip the line?). We left skipping the bagel order, sensing that perhaps we were not welcome there. Coffee was okay but this was first of its kind of experience for us in Canada. And on "Canada Day", of all the days!
