Cheese Omelette add mushrooms, shredded hashbrowns, hand cut peameal STEAK & subbed english muffin. Best breakfast at a restaurant 10/10!

Mmmmm good!! Stopped here for brunch after returning from a week out on the surrounding lakes on a houseboat holiday. I was wanting breakfast & my husband was looking for a burger. Even though hamburgers weren't on the online menu (that I seen), there were multiple burger choices on their chalkboard. My mushroom & cheese omelette was soooo good & the peameal STEAK was huge! Nice tea selection served with local honey. My husband LOVED his burger with everything. Handmade & delicious! He is still talking about it a day later :). Thank you to Shelby, our experienced server, for a great experience!

    Quaint and cozy.

My hot flat white was hot. My hot latte was room temp. Guess the barista doesn't know how to use the milk steamer? The coffee was sour, not milk sour but bean sour. I can't believe I'm saying this, but just go to Tim Hortons instead. You would save so much money, and have a much better coffee.

That was last Saturday and today is the first day I don't have dia**hea. I brought it back to the bar. Several waitresses and a manager (or owner?) came to my table and apologized profusely. They said they'd take care of the bill. I assumed they'd cover my guest as well. I was still in shock, so I didn't check my receipt. I just was my credit card receipt, and they only reimbursed my meal - I guess that's right since I didn't eat it all. They did give me 3 cookies and they were delicious. My body turned those to liquid for later evacuation. We are suffering from a serious service problem and a severe lack of resolution. I really need to learn to make a bigger fuss. It's too bad that a more vocal person that me would have gotten more out of this. Terribly embarrassing. PS: I didn't take a photo as I was busy spitting out what was in my mouth in front of my friend.

Not sure how to characterize it so I'll just describe the experience. We (two people) wanted to order a a regular coffee, an iced coffee and a bagel with cream cheese. The lady, after listening to the first item, just went back to make it. In the meantime, another lady came and asked if we mind getting another customer ringed up. We were like, sure! In some time, the first lady came back with the iced coffee and asked if that was it. Now, I don't know why a barista would assume an order of just one coffee between two people. I said I'd like a regular coffee as well. And before I could continue to order the bagel with cream cheese, she turned around to pour the regular one. In the meantime, the other lady came again asking us if we'd be okay with another customer ringed up. It was a bit weird (certain customers made to wait while others allowed to skip the line?). We left skipping the bagel order, sensing that perhaps we were not welcome there. Coffee was okay but this was first of its kind of experience for us in Canada. And on "Canada Day", of all the days!

A lovely experience: cute store front and inside. Lots of choices of goods: savory and sweet, and they all look good which is a good first impression. Then you taste them and it verifies that they not only look good but are well made and taste delicious. They had pasteis de nata (Portuguese custard tarts), and they were very good (still not as good as the ones you eat in Portugal). They have a wide selection of butter tarts and they are well made and tasty. Their giant merengues are what a merengue should be: crunchy on the outside with a chewy center. They have a nice selection of quiches: individual size and regular size. They also sell their quiches frozen. We tasted a couple of their quiches and they were outstanding. Their caramel squares are something we have never had before and they were out of this world.
