Our server was quickly at our table to take our drink order and invite us to proceed to the buffet. They offered a nice selection of meats, veggies and salad. The prime rib and ham at the carving station was quite tasty. For meat on the buffet, they offered chicken and salmon, both also tender and tasty. I also really enjoyed their roasted baby potatoes, they were quite flavorful. There was an omelet and waffle station and on the buffet, they had scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and biscuits with gravy. I skipped all the breakfast items and focused on the lunch meat, veggies and potatoes. I only went up once and was thoroughly stuffed. Oh, and the Bloody Mary with Tito's vodka was pretty tasty, too. The dessert table had a nice variety of breads, cookies, cupcakes, donuts, etc. I would say they tasted good, but were not over the top. That said, I really did appreciate the selection and the care they took to ensure the table was clean and full of sweet treats. It was a busy environment, but casual and it didn't feel too hectic. Our server was very attentive, friendly and efficient. All in all, we enjoyed our Easter buffet at Burntwood Tavern and would go again.

She brought a pot of coffee and filled my cup and left the pot there for my refills. I opted for the French Omelet, which is no longer on the menu. Eggs, goat cheese, ham and was covered with Hollandaise sauce on top. For my side had my favorite, skillet potatoes. I also had a giant buttermilk pancake, which was as big as the plate it was on! Dave had the scrambled egg platter with crispy bacon, homemade grits and a pancake too. He loves the fact that they serve the syrup in a little carafe and it is warm along with lots of butter. Everything was super delish and we were really carbing it today! You can always depend on Skillets for consistency and fresh delicious food. The ambience of the restaurant is very pleasant with their wood tables and chairs. As much as we try not to spend a lot on breakfast, this meal was so large that we didn't eat the rest of the day lol! It's nice to splurge once in a while and we throughly enjoyed our breakfast, the warm and friendly service and the lovely ambience of Skillets!

I did stay and order though. The prep and dining areas are OK but not extremely welcoming. The iced latte was OK but the lid didn't fit the cup and needed to be taped on. The gravy was delicious. The home fries were fantastic. Our waitress sat us and took our drink order. She was very pleasant and attentive. She also refilled our coffee twice without asking. We will need to come back and try more delectable offerings. We brought home a slice of sunshine cake which we will have this evening. A little noisy but it was because it was full house. Generous seating with bar seating on one end. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly, attentive and provides quick and gracious service. We will be back and bring others with us.
