Bullig has easily become a pillar of the SWFL community and I really admire their commitment to serving such high quality food with fresh ingredients that are so delicious. Their menu offerings are a bit more out of the box compared to most and that's what makes them so special. The service has always been friendly and thoughtful. I think the way they take their time to prepare things shows how much they truly care about each customer experience. Also the overall ambiance is comforting and something I look forward to experiencing anytime I'm close by. Highly recommend Bullig today and always!

They don't come to the table and take your order- you seat yourself and order and the kiosk and they bring your food to you. Usually takes 25-30 mins for food. Which is totally fine by me, & so worth the wait! Try the bee-itch or the bullig for savory, & the gimme s'more or the seriously waffle for sweet. For coffees, the tinder date and the Herschel are my go to!

This place is the heart of Matlacha. It's a central meeting place for locals, visitors and…read moresnowbirds alike. Staff is incredibly kind, compassionate and courteous. The food is fun, because there's a little something for everyone. Yet the staff is kind, thoughtful and relaxed enough to make accommodations. That's rare these days. Parking may be tight, but it would be silly to rely on your car in Matlacha. There is a gorgeous park nearby with a large pier and plenty of parking. From there, the Perfect Cup is a short walk and ideal mental reset to transport anyone that visits Matlacha into the prophetic and elusive "Island Time." The bubbly and enlivening environment is enough to recharge you for a play day in Matlacha. It is inspiring to see how much this small community of even smaller business manage to survive and thrive all along a 1000' strip of delightfully walkable roadway. I encourage everyone to take advantage of the honor and privilege it is to walk through the doors of places still standing in Matlacha.

I want to share my deep disappointment regarding my experience at your restaurant. We waited over…read morean hour to be seated, only to watch multiple parties of two walk in and be seated within 15 minutes, while our party of three was ignored. In my opinion , a well-managed restaurant would offer to accommodate a party at a smaller table or provide updates to improve the situation. Furthermore, my husband is handicapped, and while we were not seeking special treatment or free items, it was upsetting to see our place in line disregarded so blatantly while other tables were prioritized ahead of us. While the food was acceptable, it did not justify the long wait or the unfair seating system. I hope you take this feedback seriously to ensure other guests do not have a similar experience. I won't recommend anyone to this restaurant and one of your signs says what happens here we talk all week! I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT WHAT HAPPENED THERE WE WILL TALK ABOUT IT FOR A LONG TIME, AND MANY OTHERS WILL READ IT!!!

My first visit here about little after 8 AM on a Friday morning. The place is clean; and there are six inside tables. Several customers having breakfast inside and several customers pickup their breakfast items to go. Not knowing their menu that well, so I said, "Café con leche, Pastelito de Guayaba y Queso, Café Mediano, Por Favor!" The lady behind the counter smiled and said, "Si!" The pastelito is full of Guaya, flicky and crunchy and the Café con leche hit the spot. Now my caffeine crave is fixed. I looked around, beside breakfast items, it has a huge selection of pastries, smoothies, juices, Cuban Pizza and hot food for lunch. Very interesting, will be back to sample their smoothies, Cuban Pizza and hot food!

Upon walking in, there were no employees to be seen. There was already a line formed with customers trying to get somebody's attention in the kitchen. It took a while for an employee to come out. They had to verify my already packaged order in the back, which further delayed my "quick" pickup. I ordered three pastelitos (guava pastries) which were $1.50 each on DD-- it's probably cheaper to order through the bakery itself, but the price was still comparable. The pastries were flaky and crispy, but there wasn't too much filling. Still, I would probably come again and try some other items.

Our server, Tracy, was friendly and helpful with suggestions. We opted for the aforementioned Bangin Bacon, Frank's Favorite Sandwich with hash browns, and the Shrimp & Grits. The bacon was as tasty as you'd imagine (could've perhaps been cooked a couple more minutes for crispiness and char for our taste), the sandwich was yummy with hash browns prepared crispy as requested, and the shrimp and grits were decadently delicious with nice presentation. We took Tracy's suggestion to have the shrimp prepared blackened and that definitely elevated the flavor profile and helped to cut a bit of the maple butter syrup richness. I chose the Prickly Pear Mimosa from the list of available varieties of mimosas and it was tasty. If we're in the area again, we'll likely return to try different menu items as there were so many that sounded interesting!
