Extremely disappointing experience -- would not recommend…read more Our dog came home from Barks and Bubbles with cuts around his eyes, mouth, paws, and butt, as well as severely over-plucked ears that were bleeding inside. The next day, he developed an ear infection, something he has never had in his seven years of life or after any previous grooming. When we contacted the owner, Patty, instead of taking accountability or helping us, she was extremely rude and argumentative with my mom, accused us of lying, and claimed our dog already had an infection and that we don't properly care for him. None of this was mentioned when we dropped him off or picked him up. She even had the audacity to ask for his vet's number so she can speak to him because she didn't believe us. He also came home with bloody diarrhea. Mistakes can happen, but refusing to take responsibility, blaming the customer, and being disrespectful when we simply asked for reasonable compensation was completely unprofessional. Especially considering how expensive the service is, we expected much better. We didn't thoroughly check reviews before going but they're consistent with what we experienced, rude owner, cuts on the dog, no accountability. We will absolutely not be returning, and couldn't recommend it to anyone.

To my mind, it's very unfair for there to be a 2014 poor rating when there was a previous owner. I just lost one of my dogs, Ulee, and Danielle was very empathetic. Her price is comparable to the mobile grooming my neighbor uses--and she has rent to pay, unlike the guy with the van. Her daughters are often in the shop.I have enjoyed seeing them grow from babies to beautiful young girls. I've never written a Yelp review before, but have read quite a few. I think you should think about the effect you'd have of a poor review, then think again and don't send it unless it's really substantive, like being charged exorbitantly, for instance. Put yourself in the place of a person who is making a living for her family and doing a job you can't do yourself. Danielle doesn't have a bad word to say about anyone. Strange that my profile says I live in San Francisco--I live in Connecticut Photos show Ross yesterday, once again looking like a black and tan cocker spaniel, and two days earlier when he resembled a giant dustmop.

He absolutely loves going, he comes home exhausted every time. One thing that is especially important to me is that he never comes back home sick, which gives me peace of mind sending him. That has happened with other daycares we've tried, and I've heard stories from other people that are terrifying, but nothing to worry about with DGS! We've even moved about 30 minutes away and we still will bring him there for boarding/daycare/grooming. Overall, this place is the best combination of fun, safety, and genuine care. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. A special shout out to Felicia, who goes above and beyond every single time. She trims his nails better than anyone else and is always so genuinely happy to see him. The feeling is definitely mutual! You can tell she truly cares about the dogs. It seems like they really do hire employees that are truly animal lovers and that is so important when you are sending your beloved pet to be cared by others. Would recommend to anyone!
