They typically do a fantastic job on trimming my dogs nails and "grinch" feet! I don't usually pick an individual, just allow whomever is available, so there have been a few times his paw trim is more choppy than usual, but I've never had a bad experience. This was my first time at Neon Dog. A friend, who also has a west highland terrier, recommended it. Someone met me in the waiting room, as soon as I arrived, and asked very specific questions about the cut I wanted. After I dropped her off I received a phone call asking if they could cut her shorter in some areas because her matted fur made it difficult to brush. I picked her up a little more than an hour and a half later and the woman who cut her was kind and explained everything that she did. The attention to detail was not necessary nor was it expected, but I was thrilled with the entire experience. The front of the business is also a shop with collars, treats, outfits, toys and more. I always have great experiences here, and love their merch. my puppy hates being groomed and is scared going in but happy coming out, and that means a lot. New management. Now there's a "special handling fee" if your dog is too wiggly and requires another person to hold him/her still. Was not told about this when I was first charged for it. It is now on a written display, but still seems a little ridiculous esp bc this place is not cheap to begin with. Terrible customer service from front desk receptionist, Naijja. Came late to an appointment once and was turned away after calling and communicating that I was running late and was on my way. They would've been better off telling me to reschedule rather than have me come and turn me away based on a 3 minute discrepancy. read more

Groomers have incredible patience with my two older (but feisty) pups. Thus far, they've done a great job - doggies look beautiful and seem happy when they come out after their sessions. Perhaps a bit pricey compared to other places, but they're reliable, on time, professional and always courteous ... plus which The Neon Dog has the cutest little shop: collar/leash sets, "organic" treats, home-baked doggie cookies (decorated & fun), nice sweaters & shirts, etc. There is a place to wait if you choose to (though there are plenty of restaurants and snack places nearby), and a dedicated parking section just for Neon Dog clients. Main thing: easy to make an appointment with less than week to wait. All the full groom services were perfectly done. I asked for no perfume and he smells only like clean dog, not a French Fufu House. The groomer took her time, worked out knots, got all his places, ears, nails, bottom, and kept his face, head, and tail longer. Very artistic. She took two hours. UPDATE: the vet said we need to bring her in ASAP. What this place has done to my poor dog is unacceptable. Brought my dog there today for a bath/brush, de-shedding, and a foot trim. For some reason my dogs butt and entire groin are completely shaved, even though nobody asked me, told me, or explained anything about it. She has these awful bloody angry looking blisters all over her groin now. read more

Took my puppy here to be groomer for the first time and was very pleased with how they cleaned up. She was super soft, smelled fresh with soap, and they even got out the pine pitch from her fur. It was easy to book and took a reasonable amount of time to be done (just over 1 hour). She came home with a cute bandana too! I recently took my 8 yr old Golden Retriver for a full clip They preformed this exact service last year with no problems. They could not get the job done this time, saying the dog was not cooperating. Eight year old, golden retriever, not very active. They still charge me for a bath and a clip. I cannot tell the difference from when I dropped him off other than the bath. $100 charged! Not going back it's too bad because I like this business . FYI, I just got Duke home and noticed that there was no grooming whatsoever. He still has mats behind his ears ! read more

We went to CT for a weekend getaway.. I found this super cute place on yelp before the trip and made a point to go! The staff are very unprofessional... they did not greet us, were annoyed and huffy. When I asked a question about a harness they were unfriendly and wouldn't even get up from the desk to help me. I walked out in disbelief and frustration. I wish I could give zero stars. It was a very disappointing visit. I will never be back .. I hope the business owner takes notice to how their staff are treating customers. read more

Worst customer service. Avoid at all costs. Cancelled my appointment without even a warning and was completely unapologetic. My appt was only to bathe my dog since the groomer butchered my pet when she was groomed there a month before. She came back bleeding and with cuts all over her ears and they blamed her for it. I do not recommend this establishment. There are many better places to get your dog washed and groomed. I don't usually write reviews but wanted to warn others of the horrible service and attitude. read more
