Okay, so I am usually a firm believer in, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. However, I am going to say something this time because, well, it was my wedding we are talking about here.
I had been in contact with 94 Studio Pros for about 2 months constantly writing emails back and forth, and getting confirmation that they were received. This includes, information on all of my song preferences, and the song lists for the first dance, father/daughter dance, and mother/son dance... I constantly had to email them to make sure that everything was okay, and would get emails back that assured me that they were compiling my music lists and everything was perfect.
Then comes the day of the wedding and my new husband and I walked into our reception hall to be greeted by my mom and his aunt informing us that the DJ said WE had never sent him any of the song lists... I was PISSED, I had sent them 10+ emails confirming that everything was okay and never heard about a problem until I walk into my reception?!??!? The DJ gave me 2 songs that we could choose from for our first dance, neither one being the song that my husband worked so hard to hand pick for us, and we had to select at random a father of the bride dance. Luckily he had the mother/son dance song already on file.
Throughout the wedding he played mostly oldies, which was okay, but a better mixture would have been much appreciated by our mixed age guests, and when it came time for me to pay off the balance the only discount that I was offered was if he left early I could take like $40-50 off of the bill. Nothing about a discount for not having our music and being unprepared. Yes, he apologized, blaming it all on his girlfriend/secretary saying that she has been busy with their baby.. But this is a business he is running, and if they cant keep up then they may want to reconsider their career plans.
It was affordable, so I chalk it up as, I got what I paid for I guess.. But I am still in shock, and my husband resorted to playing the song for us in our hotel room on honeymoon so that we could get our TRUE first dance.... read more
