We choose the Beverly Hills City Hall and Pasadena City Hall as our locations. Both locations embodiment our wedding vibes of California romance. Ruff has done our photos for our engagement, our wedding and now our first home! Every experience has been above and beyond. After not seeing them for 2 years, working with other photographers during that time, and then seeing them again, reminded us how much we truly love working with Ruff and Leslie. They are so personable, accommodating, professional and have a strong eye for photography. Their energy is genuine and organic. Even my 14 year old son said he loved working with them! I would also like to comment on the negative post that I read regarding Leslie not reaching out as soon as the client wanted to. I believe that you cannot expect a business to comment back right away. You need to give at least 48-72 hours for a response. That expectation was just wild especially for one of the best photographers in SD. These are busy business owners! AND parents at that! So that negative review is not a true representation of this business. I can speak on that because Leslie has always responded in a respectable timeframe. They have always been flexible with locations, dates and times. They do their very best to make sure everyone is on the same page and aligned. They are worth the wait and the $$$. You get more than what you pay for plus you're supporting a POC local small business!! Book them for everything over and over again. I received a response the following day and they still had availability for my date at this time and I received a custom quote. I responded two hours after they sent me my quote and, no reply. Understandably, everyone in the wedding business is probably swamped.. so I've tried to be patient. And maybe I should've been more upfront with my budget but I feel like once I mentioned my range, all communication was cut off/halted. I inform my fiancé to attempt and send an inquiry for our date- turns out- they're no longer available. Frustrated with untimely communication but I figured- it is what it is.

I love how there's so much artistic thought put into the creation of their same-day edit videos. It's not just plain documenting- the- events- of- the- day. I'd like to compare it to painting a picture vs just transcribing the facts. The artistic expression done with each video works in such a way to really bring out the uniqueness of every couple. I noticed some of the weddings take place in the same churches/venues, but each story they tell is a different one. And that's what I liked about them. I occasionally check their page just to see what new wedding videos they've posted. But I'm just a hopeless romantic dork like that :p

We had gone to a wedding where we first saw an Omnistory SDE (Same Day Edit) and were absolutely blown away. Needless to say, we were not dissappointed. Everyone we dealt with, from the owner to the cameramen (they bring at least 3!) were truly professional and pleasant. Everything in the contract was clear up front and were extremely prepared on the day of the wedding, blending into the background and capturing the moments of the day without ever being in the way. I've noticed videographers and even photographers get to a point in the day where they run out of ideas, ask questions they should have thought of weeks before, and stumble awkwardly through the guests, but not Omnistories. The biggest pro: beyond just their talent, technical capability, and choice of high quality equipment, these guys really love what they do - and that is reflected in their attitude, their performance, and the final product (which we received ahead of schedule!). They come with a team of 4-5 people and are able to capture every angle of every moment flawlessly. Con: The wedding trailer we received was amazing and indicative of the vision and style of Omnistories. The documentary (the Omnistory - which is the version we went with) is a bit drier and well - documentary-like. Editing is less than their Omni Movie, but they still did a wonderful job filming. If we could do it over again - we'd probably chuck out a coupla extra bucks and get the cinematographic edit. Hopefully they'll be around for our 10 year anniversary party! :-)

For the ones who are researching and just planning their wedding, congrats! and NO, videography is not included in all photo packages :) surprise! But is it something you want?? Well, I found Seven Pines Prod. months before my wedding after contemplating if we NEEEEED a wedding video. Why did I choose to get one? Because I asked myself, if my parents had a video of their wedding, would I want to watch it? And my answer was YES! So, wouldn't I want my kids to have a wedding video of their parents? To see how everyone looked when they were young? and what grandma and grandpa were like? So this is why I chose to invest yet another couple thousand for the wedding. :) Now to the important stuff....Seven Pines Prod. makes it VERY easy from start to finish for the Bride & Groom. Literally!! From Carling's first email to the end of our wedding, she was so sweet and helpful. She did everything herself on our special day and didn't wait around for direction or anything. I am so thankful we found Seven Pines and Carling was there for us! My husband kept raving about how great the Videographer was and what cool shots they got of the guys and them. Our video clip was everything we ever wanted.... (Confession..we watch it at least once a day) and love even the raw footage of the entire day that we just received! So if videography is something you're contemplating for your BIG day or whatever it may be... just do it. You're already paying an arm and an leg for everything else so why not add more and have something to look at years from now!

Pictures are wonderful memories, however our video so perfectly captured our day and getting to re-live your wedding day is priceless! Carling was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She is always extremely quick to respond, kind, and organized. Jenna and Maddy shot our footage the day of! Choosing A&S is the easiest decision you'll make…read more We heard about Aaron & Samantha from our wedding planner. From the minute we met them (via FaceTime!), we knew they (a) knew their stuff and (b) they would not stress us out on our actual wedding day. We liked that they worked as a pair so Aaron would be with the groomsmen while Samantha would be with the bridesmaids for the hours leading up to the wedding. So we crossed our fingers and chose A&S! First they did an engagement shoot for us. For anybody currently in the wedding planning process, consider doing an engagement shoot with the same photographer that you'll be with on your big day. We spent a few hours roaming around Balboa Park in San Diego with A&S getting to know each other, which made our wedding day feel like a reunion rather than an awkward first meeting :) We learned their style and they learned ours. Leading up to the big day, they were always accessible to us. As our event neared, they kept us on track by reminding us we should put together a shot list and were fine when we came back with a few rounds of changes. Finally, on the big day, we can't rave enough about how much we loved worked with A&S. My 3-year-old ring bearer decided he was going to be a Junior Photographer on that day so he had his Polaroid camera with him and followed A&S around taking pictures all afternoon. A&S were so gentle with him and in fact made him feel like he had a very important job to do. We can't thank A&S enough for the way they treated our beloved ring bearer. Aside from that, A&S kept a pretty tight ship on the wedding day. They went through our shot list religiously, ensuring that we took all of the pictures we planned for. However, when day of, we asked for a few additional ones, A&S didn't blink an eye. We expected it would take a few months to get our pictures back, but A&S surprised us and sent over ~40 pictures within a week of the wedding. We couldn't wait to look through them. They are both extremely talented, we loved what we saw, and cannot wait to get the rest of them back. A&S, thank you for being so easy to work with, for making sure my husband and I always had fun, and for putting your heart into a day that's so meaningful for us.

The good - Kurtis was on time, answered all of my questions in a timely manner, and was very…read moreaffordable. He also had great worksheets for us to list everything we did and didn't want played at our wedding. The not so good - He failed to play the correct song when we walked into the wedding (we listed it on the worksheet too and this was a big deal for us). He was also a bit too mellow. We marked that we wanted him to be in the middle (of what the three options on the worksheet were) and he was VERY mellow. We were trying to avoid a cheesy DJ (which Kurtis is NOT) but we were looking for more from him. I also didn't like that his contract specifically stated that I needed to provide the table for his DJ equipment but when he showed up he said that for small weddings that isn't necessary and he actually had one. It was only 20 bucks for the table and tablecloth, but that's still $20 when I'm fighting to meet budget ($20 here and there quickly adds up!). If you are willing to provide it, you should tell your customers and take it out of your contract! Unfortunately, if I had to do it all over, I probably wouldn't hire Studio 94 Pros again. I do think that Kurtis is professional and easy to work with - he just wasn't perfect so he stood out compared to all of my other vendors who were perfect. Perhaps if you're more specific, you'll get better results.
