I love watching shows related to the wedding industry. Ace of Cakes, Amazing Wedding Cakes, Cake Boss... Even Battle of the Wedding Designers. I'd love a dream wedding... although I'm far from having one of my own. My friends shared some of the videos Omni Stories has done on facebook and of course... I was curious enough to watch them. I love how there's so much artistic thought put into the creation of their same-day edit videos. It's not just plain documenting- the- events- of- the- day. I'd like to compare it to painting a picture vs just transcribing the facts. The artistic expression done with each video works in such a way to really bring out the uniqueness of every couple. I noticed some of the weddings take place in the same churches/venues, but each story they tell is a different one. And that's what I liked about them. I occasionally check their page just to see what new wedding videos they've posted. But I'm just a hopeless romantic dork like that :p read more

After tirelessly researching and meeting several wedding videographers, we finally went with Omnistories. We had gone to a wedding where we first saw an Omnistory SDE (Same Day Edit) and were absolutely blown away. Needless to say, we were not dissappointed. Everyone we dealt with, from the owner to the cameramen (they bring at least 3!) were truly professional and pleasant. Everything in the contract was clear up front and were extremely prepared on the day of the wedding, blending into the background and capturing the moments of the day without ever being in the way. I've noticed videographers and even photographers get to a point in the day where they run out of ideas, ask questions they should have thought of weeks before, and stumble awkwardly through the guests, but not Omnistories. The biggest pro: beyond just their talent, technical capability, and choice of high quality equipment, these guys really love what they do - and that is reflected in their attitude, their performance, and the final product (which we received ahead of schedule!). They come with a team of 4-5 people and are able to capture every angle of every moment flawlessly. Con: The wedding trailer we received was amazing and indicative of the vision and style of Omnistories. The documentary (the Omnistory - which is the version we went with) is a bit drier and well - documentary-like. Editing is less than their Omni Movie, but they still did a wonderful job filming. If we could do it over again - we'd probably chuck out a coupla extra bucks and get the cinematographic edit. Hopefully they'll be around for our 10 year anniversary party! :-) read more

Omnistories is such a talented group of people. We've seen their work before at weddings of our friends and have been very impressed. They recently filmed my fiance's proposal to me and the video came out AMAZING! We are definitely hiring them for our wedding next year as well! EPIC! Simply Incredible! We knew we wanted our wedding documented and remembered. We wanted to be able to share that day with our loved ones that weren't able to make it out. What we didn't expect was to be completely blown away and re-live the emotion from our wedding day when we saw our trailer just a week later.http://vimeo.com/84976840 They impressed us with their professionalism and passion, their confidence and optimistic attitude while they're working. They took these incredible shots and I honestly don't remember them taking it because they're that good. The most impressive of their gadgets was their flying camera, it was amazing!!! You are just going to have to see their videos yourself. SOUND: It was so important for us to be able to hear our vows long after the wedding day and what they picked up on the microphone was perfect!! MUSIC: Their choice in the music being played was beautiful, it fit the mood we wanted so, yes I'm going to say it again perfectly!!! TIMING: They were on time at each site that we requested. QUALITY: Perfection...we told them we wanted people to feel our love for one another and they made it so clear in that 4 min. trailer even people I didn't know who watched it would tear up. I had friends telling me they were showing their friends, friends haha!! AFFORDABILITY: Yes, they have a variety of packages that are very reasonable. When we began planning our wedding, I was on the fence about getting a videographer. After watching our video, we were truly amazed and impressed on how they were able to capture the magic and emotion allowing us to re-live our special day! I'm glad my wife talked me into it. Me and my wife Jessyca were so pleased with the service before the wedding and on the day of our wedding! My husband and I were both on the same page about prioritizing the desire to have our wedding day documented. Photography (see my True Photography review) and videography were our biggest priorities, so we both got to work with researching the best that San Diego has to offer. Upon viewing the Omnistories Vimeo page, we knew we had to reach out to them. I was fixated on having a same day edit video to be shown at our wedding reception. Weddings last for hours and I wanted the significance of the entire day to be felt even later on in the evening as well... We set up a Skype appointment with Omnistories and started to talk business. My husband and I informed them of what we were looking for and they were on board with our vision. In addition to being professional, the Omnistories team is also very personable and easygoing. We felt comfortable with them from the very beginning. Throughout the process, the comfort continued and this made the filming portion easy and fun at the same time. They have packages available, but we were specific about what we wanted. They were kind enough to customize a package specific to our desires (same day edit combined with love story, a 8-10 cinematic highlight video, 3 cameras on day of wedding, full wedding day coverage and all raw footage). My husband and I enjoy brewery hopping. At the time we filmed our love story, we were at 138 breweries visited all over the West Coast (we are at 166 now). We collect coasters from all the different breweries that we visit. Because of this, my husband created and customized a coaster that said "will you marry me..." on it as his way of proposing. We let Omnistories know that we wanted to incorporate our brewery hopping hobby and the proposal video into our same day edit. We all brainstormed together and decided that our "everyday brewery hopping" would be the perfect setting. We ended up filming our love story scenes and interview footage at Green Flash Brewery (our very first brewery) and Novo Brazil Brewing (awesome spot also). The interview footage was awesome -- By asking us the same questions separately, my husband and I finished each other's sentences perfectly. Our love story was told in detail and it included the proposal as we desired. The love story was edited flawlessly and it transitioned so perfectly into our same day edit. This 13 minute video was shown at our wedding reception and my husband and I were beyond pleased with the product. It included heartfelt footage from our church ceremony. We wanted our first sight of each other to be captured. Seeing my husband at the alter was one of the most memorable moments of our wedding day and Omnistories captured the emotions and included this in our same day edit. You know it's a great video when everyone says they cry and can feel the love just by watching the video. Thank you for capturing those moments Omnistories. We hired Omnistories to create a hybrid montage/interview to be shown at our wedding reception, and to document our wedding day at Scripps Forum last month. The finished products blew us away. I am a wedding coordinator and recently worked with Omni Stories on a wedding. Usually I don't get to see a videographers wedding until months after the event, and I definitely do not get to see the reaction of the bride and groom. This wedding was different. The couple hired Omni Stories to create a video montage with interviews to be played during the reception. They also included family photos of the bride and groom growing up, and shots taken from the day of the rehearsal. Watching the bride and groom watch their story with all their family and friends was a very special moment. The video was fantastic quality, and they even surprised the bride and groom with some footage from the ceremony earlier in the day. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for wedding videography services in the future. read more
