As someone who's familiar with filmmaking, I'm impressed by the videographer's ability to quickly capture candid moments and to adapt to a very fast pace and changing environment. Whenever I feel there was a special moment happening, I turn to see that the camera already capturing the highlights. Vince has the ability to follow his instinct and capture precious moments in an instant. After the video was released, I was utter impressed with the creative compilation. I mean, I was there with the bride and groom the whole day and so I am very well informed of my surrounding and what my environment looked like. kathy was our wedding photographer (march 06). finding a photographer was probably the hardest…read morething about our wedding (besides hashing out the family politics with the guest list!). there are so many styles, debates about digital vs. film, etc, i felt like i needed to take a class to figure out what everyone was talking about! out of sheer ignorance, our criteria came down to finding someone with nice, colorful outdoor pictures of regular people who were smiling (shocking how hard that is to find!). we clicked our way through a gazillion websites and set up meetings with the 5 people whose sites we liked best. it turned out that the other thing we needed to consider was chemistry. i am not big on getting my picture taken, and the thought of hiring someone to stare at me actually freaked me out. we had a few meetings with photographers, each was ok. and then we met kathy! she is an outdoorsy animal lover who has a great eye for lighting and who made me feel comfortable right away. she and her assistant were very good at getting the posed pictures we asked for, some beautiful artsy-type pictures, and generally just captured the emotions so well... our pictures came back quickly, our book was also done beautifully and fast. when there was mistake in one of the orders from the printer, it was fixed quickly and with no problems. kathy was easy to talk to, easy to get in touch with and provides excellent service. my only two caveats, her packages were a bit limited and changing them costs a lot, and i didn't get any candid pictures of guests... i didn't specifically ask for them either, i had assumed that she would take a few. overall, kathy was fantastic and i highly recommend her!

I love how there's so much artistic thought put into the creation of their same-day edit videos. It's not just plain documenting- the- events- of- the- day. I'd like to compare it to painting a picture vs just transcribing the facts. The artistic expression done with each video works in such a way to really bring out the uniqueness of every couple. I noticed some of the weddings take place in the same churches/venues, but each story they tell is a different one. And that's what I liked about them. I occasionally check their page just to see what new wedding videos they've posted. But I'm just a hopeless romantic dork like that :p

We had gone to a wedding where we first saw an Omnistory SDE (Same Day Edit) and were absolutely blown away. Needless to say, we were not dissappointed. Everyone we dealt with, from the owner to the cameramen (they bring at least 3!) were truly professional and pleasant. Everything in the contract was clear up front and were extremely prepared on the day of the wedding, blending into the background and capturing the moments of the day without ever being in the way. I've noticed videographers and even photographers get to a point in the day where they run out of ideas, ask questions they should have thought of weeks before, and stumble awkwardly through the guests, but not Omnistories. The biggest pro: beyond just their talent, technical capability, and choice of high quality equipment, these guys really love what they do - and that is reflected in their attitude, their performance, and the final product (which we received ahead of schedule!). They come with a team of 4-5 people and are able to capture every angle of every moment flawlessly. Con: The wedding trailer we received was amazing and indicative of the vision and style of Omnistories. The documentary (the Omnistory - which is the version we went with) is a bit drier and well - documentary-like. Editing is less than their Omni Movie, but they still did a wonderful job filming. If we could do it over again - we'd probably chuck out a coupla extra bucks and get the cinematographic edit. Hopefully they'll be around for our 10 year anniversary party! :-)
