My husband and I hired Chris and Jordan to capture our wedding day, and they were by far our best vendor decision. I knew that we couldn't afford the price of the all-inclusive packages that most photographers of their high caliber charge, but Chris and Jordan worked with us to put together a package in our price range that didn't jeopardize losing those special moments. Our wedding photos are amazing. I think they belong in some kind of well-known international magazine. And I usually don't think that highly of myself! In addition to being incredibly talented (there's nothing I could say to describe their work-check out their website), they are just fun and awesome individuals. You don't want to be around people that make you tense on your wedding day. Chris and Jordan are a warm and charismatic husband and wife team that say funny things like "Babe, quit hogging the such-and-such lens!" while they're telling you how good you look. If you are looking for photographers that personalize your moments and capture the unexpected, then Chris and Jordan are perfect. After stressing out about finding a photographer that would be affordable enough for our wedding budget, my cousin brought that one of her husband's friends is a photographer and to take a look at their work. I loved what they had done with my cousin's maternity pictures, and since they were newer, they hadn't really had wedding experience yet. Once I contacted Next to Me studios on their website, Chris emailed me back next day inquiring about what I was looking for and if my husband and I wanted to meet for drinks to talk more about it. After going over everything for my vision and what I wanted to capture, since the brides opinion is the only one that REALLY matters, I knew I wanted to give Chris and Jordan a shot. We did an engagement session with them about a year before our wedding. I have to say, it was one of my favorite experiences as a couple. We got to know how Chris and Jordan work, as well as they did with us, and my husband and I got to show our love for each other. I didn't know I would have so much fun, and I only expected great things from then on out! The engagement pictures were done being edited and sent to us within 4 weeks, and they were absolutely amazing. So much that the pictures were focal points in some of the wedding. I knew I couldn't wait to use them to capture the little moments on our special day. About 6 months after our engagement pictures, my family wanted to do a family shoot, and those pictures were great. They both caught the quirky, weirdness that is my family and I love what came out of them. The day of the wedding, both Chris and Jordan had an itinerary to follow that I had given them a week prior. They showed up at 2pm as requested and just started taking pictures from the get go. Now with the wedding, I wasn't able to see everything that was at tables or outside, and they caught EVERYTHING I WANTED without even asking! The wait time on the pictures to be edited was longer, about 10 weeks, but they did a wonderful job. The great thing about it, We have the copyright to them, so we can print them and not spend a ton of money paying for pictures for gifts! I cannot believe how lucky we got with hiring Next to Me Studios to do our wedding photos! They were the first vendors that we hired and we were very pleased with them. I chose them by scouring the internet for wedding photographers, searching for the exact style that I wanted. I preferred a soft and intimate feel without looking outdated. During my research I was actually getting quite worried because every type of photography out there seemed to be overly vivid, crisp, digital, dramatic, energetic- which is great but not my style at all. Finally, I was lucky enough to stumble upon Next to Me Studios and their style is exactly what I was looking for. At the interview, Chris told me that he edits every single shot to look that way.. what patience and incredible attention to detail! In fact, we were only planning on having a photographer for the wedding, but after working with Chris for a few months I decided to hire them to do our engagement photos and to photograph the rehearsal dinner as well. Chris and Jordan never worked with any of our other vendors before our wedding (as far as I knew) but they did an amazing job of integrating seamlessly into the event on the day of the wedding. They were able to capture just the right mix of images including formal shots at the church, the beach, and the reception venue, and documentary style images during the ceremony and reception. The photographs came out just how I wanted them: intimate, romantic, fun, and elegant- a perfect reflection of our special day. One of the best parts of the whole process was that Chris invited us over to their house to put together the wedding album. We actually got to go over the entire album, page by page, picture by picture, and give direction on exactly how we wanted everything to look. These photographers have captured my girls entire little lives from newborn up through our most recent family shoot. We have for the past three years had them do a photo shoot with our family every six months. They also have done my sisters wedding as well as many friends wedding/family shoots. I had been scrolling thru wedding inspo on Pinterest when I started to see wedding photos that caught my eye. A few clicks later and I had recognized a groomsman in one of their photos which spiraled into finding the Next To Me studios website. Thankful that I was able the rabbit hole that is Pinterest led me to them. I immediately set up a Skype interview with Chris and Jordan and it was the most easy going fun but professional conversation. We interviewed several other photographers, but Chris & Jordan's laid-back nature and attention to detail made them stand out from the rest. We got to know them even better when we ventured around Downtown LA for our engagement session. They worked with my husband Marc and I on locations through DTLA that meant something to us. My husband and I chose to work with Chris and Jordan as our wedding photographer after they shot for my cousins wedding. I'm not a big picture person and neither is my husband so we wanted someone that would make us feel natural and comfortable. Next to Me Studios was the best photographer for the job! Chris and Jordan captured everything we asked for and more and even edited photos we specifically asked to be touched up for holiday card use! We were very happy with the quality of photos, quantity received and the moments that they were able to capture. The photos make is so easy to take ourselves back to that day because they captured the moment so well. The only bummer we had is after the wedding we realized we missed a photo with myself my husband and both of our parents together so in hindsight I wish we had gone through the family photos more with Chris and Jordan so they could make recommendations of what we may be missing. When we first met Chris and Jordan to talk about the details of our wedding we hit it off right away. We had been impressed by the quality and style of the photography but it was their personal touch that made it easy to choose them as our wedding photographer. They were engaged with us leading up to the wedding, talking through details and doing a great job of helping us prepare for the chaos of family photos. On the day of they were ready to go, and even though it was a packed schedule from morning to night they were on point the entire time. They captured so much of the beautiful venue, documented all the work we had put into decor, caught family and friends in joyfully candid moments, easily handled the insane family photo list we had cooked up, and got so many gorgeous images of us without ever feeling like they were in the way.
