Stephen Alberts is an incredible videographer! We wanted high quality raw footage that we could later place into an edited wedding video (when we someday have more money) and Stephen shot gorgeous raw footage. He also edits amazing videos if you have a bigger videography budget than we do...and want the full superstar experience. After seeing samples of his work, my husband and I knew that we could trust Stephen to just "do his thing" so we gave him our schedule of events and asked him to video the components that made the most sense to him and the video looks gorgeous. Because his camera looks a little unconventional, many of our guests thought he was one of the photographers so we also have some hilarious clips. And, our photographer loved working with Stephen. Stephen knows how to get the footage he needs to make your day memorable with you and your photographer barely noticing him throughout the day. We were so grateful for both Stephen's calm confidence in the work he produces and the footage we received. My husband and I (and all of our guests who have seen the footage) absolutely love his work and highly recommend him! He is soooo worth it and he was by far and away one of our favorite vendors at our wedding. read more

We can't express enough positive compliments about Stephen. He is THE videographer to hire; he is remarkable. We recently received our wedding video; it took our breath away and brought tears to our eyes. We watched it several times and honestly feel he captured the entire day beautifully. It is gorgeous, high quality and tastefully edited making it truly a pleasure to watch. Stephen is kind, talented and wonderful to work with. If I could offer any advice for his future clients it would be this: Hire him immediately before his schedule books up (which WILL happen) AND get the highlight film included in your package. You will be so glad you did! Thank you, Stephen! :) Colby & Courtney Duran read more

Working with Stephen was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding! We liked him right off the bat- he was relaxed, professional, confident, down-to-earth and easy to work with. We met him once in person and the rest of our communication up until the wedding was via email. He was very responsive, answered all of our questions, and was the nicest guy! He captured a ton of footage during our wedding and did such a great job of being "behind the scenes" as I didn't even notice he was there until the end of the wedding! As for the video - we received the most beautiful edited video along with the raw footage which was so much fun to watch. While I absolutely love the photos and photo book we got from our wedding photographer, I'm so happy we got a videographer as well because getting to relive our wedding day through Stephen's video took those memories to the next level. If you are on the fence about whether or not to get a videographer, spend the extra $$ and do it, you won't regret it. My husband and I didn't have a wedding party so we weren't sure how the video was going to turn out since there wasn't much "getting ready" footage to capture, but Stephen did an amazing job of weaving together the minimal footage of getting ready he did capture with the ceremony and reception. The video was about 8 minutes long and completely captured the emotions, joy, energy, and love of the day. My husband and I can't recommend Stephen enough. We are thrilled that we got to work with him and couldn't be happier with the video he created for us. Thank you for everything, Stephen!!! read more

If you are looking for a top notch, high quality videographer, look no further because Stephen Alberts is your guy! We chose Stephen Alberts Wedding Films to shoot the highlight video for our February 23, 2013 wedding in Carlsbad, CA. After extensively researching videographers we met with Stephen Alberts. Immediately we were impressed with his portfolio of video/editing work (which is Emmy award winning, by the way!) and the story and passion behind his shooting wedding videos. He answered all our questions regarding equipment, day of set-up and how he would be sure to get the best angles at the wedding. After selecting Stephen to shoot our wedding, he was in communication with us every step of the way (which is important when you're working to coordinate so many things for a DIY 130 person wedding). Closer to the date Stephen even arranged for a second videographer, Carlos, to film at the wedding which ended up being such a great decision because it allowed to film both the guys and the girls getting ready separately. Major plus. When it came to the day of, both Stephen and Carlos were awesome - so professional and most of all, they filmed totally incognito which helped to capture all the little moments that might not have happened had we been aware a camera was there. Now that we've just seen our highlight film we just had to write a positive review. We received so many compliments about the video that people were brought to tears! wow. Many even commented on how he so perfectly set action scenes to the lyrics of the songs that accompanied the video - now that's an eye for detail! So, if there are couples out there looking to immortalize their wedding moments, choose Stephen Alberts to film your wedding. We're so glad we did! We chose Stephen because we felt like we were getting a total steal for what he offered for our needs. He stuck with with us for nearly 14 hours and didn't miss any important shots. He is skilled and a true professional and his work is backed up by his golden Emmy's. You'll see them when you step into his office. He was very accessible and was able to work around the logistics that we gave him.. Amazing. DO NOT THINK TWICE ABOUT GOING WITH SOMEONE ELSE. http://vimeo.com/77094334 read more

Hiring STEPHEN ALBERTS was simply one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day!!! Stephen captured our wedding on June 21, 2014 in Coronado, CA. If his 4 time Emmy Award winning status, does not speak volumes already, then let me tell you about our positive experience working with him. We found Stephen online and were impressed by his diverse experience in the industry, quality of his work, credentials, the user friendly website -- easy to navigate and find packages, pricing, etc. Communication with Stephen was a breeze! From setting up our initial meeting, establishing a contract, asking for assistance with our wedding day timeline and receiving the end product of the footage of our wedding day. We appreciated Stephen's prompt responses to our inquiries. Everything was executed via e-mail between our inital & pre-wedding meetings. How sweet and simple! We were amazed with how he fully captured every moment our of wedding day, without even being seen!!! Watching the footage, felt like we were reliving the excitement and happiness all over again. I still can't stop watching the video :-) As a bride and groom, it is impossible to be every where at every moment with everyone, on your wedding day. So we were delighted to see so many candid moments (happy, emotional, funny) and things we didn't even know happened, which Stephen caught throughout the day and evening. Thank you so much for giving us a piece of our wedding that will last forever! read more

We just got our wedding video from Stephen and it couldn't be more perfect. He is so talented and did an incredible job at really capturing the feel of the entire day. He was SO nice and easy to work with. We love how candid and honest his videos are. He included bits of every single aspect of the day. He gave us an 8 minute highlight film with music of our choosing as well as all the raw footage, which if you have searched videographers yet you know is very hard to come by! We can't say enough wonderful things about Stephen Alberts wedding films. Thank you so so much!! read more

5 Stars is simply not enough! My wife and I received Stephen's video as a wedding gift. It was, by far, the best gift we could have received. It even topped the honeymoon to Maui! The video was absolutely perfect. I do not have words for how much this means to us. There were so many small nuances on the wedding day that I didn't remember or didn't realize. The day was such a rush. Much of the footage includes close-ups and slow-motion moments that are impossible to see in real-time. However, Stephen was super COOL and practically invisible for the entire time he was there. He flexed around the two photographers we had and we still have no idea how he pulled off some of the shots. I can only describe it as 100% professional and absolute magic! Stephen- I hope you continue doing this for many years because you have a special gift and it is incredible. read more

What can I say about Stephen that hasn't already been said? He is truly a professional and the high caliber of his work proves how much passion and creativity he puts into every project. He possesses a unique talent of capturing all the small and fleeting moments and weaving them seamlessly into an extraordinary and indelible experience. I admit that when my husband and I first started planning, we weren't even thinking of a videographer. Both of us tend to get really shy and awkward in front of a camera. But everyone we spoke with said we would regret it in the end if we didn't have our wedding filmed. So, with less than 2 months before the big day, we started looking and were so fortunate to find Stephen. Right from the get go, we were impressed with the films on his website. And c'mon, he's got an Emmy! I was able to schedule a meeting right away and in the first 5 minutes of meeting, I already felt comfortable and at ease with him. On our wedding day, Stephen brought along Carlos, a second shooter and we're so glad he did. Because our photographer was doing most of the staging for pictures, Stephen and Carlos pretty much melted into the background and for almost the entire ceremony and reception, I forgot they were there! We just got our highlight film and can't stop watching it! It totally went far beyond any expectation we had and captured all the emotion and excitement of the day. Stephen did such an incredible job of having the music and footage work together to make every moment that much more special. Everyone who has watched our film has turned into the biggest crybaby! Our wedding day was over before we knew it but now, thanks to Stephen, we have something to help us re-live and remember all the wonderful moments from that day. You will definitely not regret choosing Stephen to film one of the most important events in your life. read more

We were really late to hire Stephen, originally, we didn't even want a videographer at our wedding but since we had some family that couldnt come, we changed our mind and tried to find one. To be honest, we went with the best rated videographers and they were all booked, so we found Stephen on Yelp, not a whole lot of reviews but they were all good. We met Stephen at a Starbucks and he seemed motivated, smiling and the few films we saw were good. We also found out he already won a couple of Emmys! On our wedding day, they showed up on time and I was very surprised with the amount of material they had, I was seriously in a 'wow' state lol. They were in control so I didn't take care of them and they were always here but discreet. We had to wait a couple more weeks than expected but Stephen was always fast to reply and gave me the heads up, so even though we were impatient - it was well worth it. I'm usually not emotional but the editing and the highlight movie was just amazing ... here is a link to our highlight video, so you can judge his work: https://vimeo.com/75924563 I'll recommend Stephen to any one that has any video needs, I could definitely see Stephen succeed doing any ad spot or video clip. He understands how a movie has to be edited ... Overall we're super happy - my wife is still a mess, watched it 50 times and just cries every single time lol. Thanks Stephen ;) read more

To say that Stephen did an amazing job as the videographer for our wedding is an absolute understatement. The level of care he puts into every shot is Oscar worthy. He communicates efficiently, professionally, and with a wealth of knowledge supporting his decisions and perspective. He blends into the background as necessary - you won't even notice him while he's capturing every precious moment. But literally, at a moments notice, you can find him in an instant if you need to. He's a magician, it would seem. If you want someone who doesn't need much direction in creating a wonderful video - Stephen's the guy for the job. read more

A little background, my wife and I where reluctant to get a videographer. We get really uncomfortable when cameras are around and we weren't sure if we would ever watch a wedding video...One week before our wedding we decided we it would be a good idea to capture our ceremony and toasts on film. Our fabulous coordinator (Krystel at Couture Events) was able to find us Stephen at the last minute and within our budget. We got so lucky!! He did such an amazing job. I don't know how he was able to capture all the things he did, it was like he was never there. Amazing, wonderful, fantastic, beautiful, emotional are just a few of the words I use to describe our wedding highlight video Stephen created for us. He is a definite must have for a wedding. read more

I've had the pleasure of working with Stephen not once, but twice. The first time was for a video for the salon I work at. We wanted a video to showcase what inspires us and how we translate said inspiration onto hair. Stephen was incredibly professional and easy to work with. The finished product was in one word- AMAZING. The second time I needed some photos done to be used on a website. Again, Stephen came to my rescue and delivered some amazing pictures all while being incredibly friendly and easy-going. And, if you happen to be looking for a videographer for your wedding, look no further. He definitely has an eye to catch moments you didn't even know were happening. read more

Where do I begin. I knew as soon as I got engaged - the most important part was the photographer and videographer. Stephen is amazing he is so nice to work with and very flexible with meeting times and answering my questions. The highlight video we got was better than I could of imagined all my friends say it feels like to them they are watching a movie, mother in law cries every time she watches it. We haven't even received the DVD and have watched the video online at least 10 times. You would think it would be awkward having a video camera and photographers running about, but they were so sneaky I honestly forgot they were there and not sure how they got such amazing shots! You will get your money's worth and some. Stephen is a must have! read more

Absolutely AMAZING work and great set of guys to work with. We looked at HUNDREDS of videographers and fell in love with their previous work. The result of our wedding video surpassed our expectations. Stephen is so wonderful to work with. He went the extra mile to work with my husband and I in fitting us into their busy schedule. Carlos and Josh worked our wedding in September and I'm blown away at how well they documented precious moments of our special day. Choosing them was the best decision we made and we couldn't be happier!! Thank you again Stephen, Carlos & Josh!!!!! -Danielle read more

I am in love with our wedding video. I wanted a video that was more upbeat with quick cuts and I feel like I completely got what I wanted. It was romantic, honest, sweet, and totally captured the day. I love the quality of his video and how clean the picture quality is. Stephen is great at matching moments of the day to different parts of the songs in the video, which was important to me. The day of he was totally lovely and professional and like many others have said, you forget he and his team are even there. It is tricky hiring a videographer, it took a lot of research and thought and it was something I cared a lot about. But I say hire this guy, communicate your vision, and let him do his thing. You will love your video! Thanks again to Stephen and his team for the phenomenal work. Here is a link to our video: https://vimeo.com/181130573 read more

My wedding day, planned in a mere 3 months, was stressful as hell but Stephen was really able to capture all the beautiful & happy moments. He is truly an AMAZING videographer--and was not just entrusted to videotape my wedding but for both of my sisters' weddings as well! He's super chill, accommodating to virtually any request, and the best part is... you won't be able to detect his presence on your big day so you can just act natural =) Our family cannot thank him enough for capturing all our beautiful memories & for being such an integral part of our special day! I highly recommend him!!! read more

After having some troublesome experiences with other videographers, I nearly gave up. I found Stephen through Yelp and I almost overlooked him since he didn't have as many reviews on his page as other videographers - so I'm making sure to contribute! Stephen is AMAZING! He is so accomodating, professional and the quality of his work is unrivaled! You definitely won't get the same video as another client, and he is reasonably priced. He did an amazing job on our engagement videos and I'm looking forward to working with him on our wedding videos! read more

I hired Stephen for our August 2014 wedding many months before our big day. I had found his work online and found it far superior to any other wedding videographer in San Diego whose work I had viewed and knew I had to secure him immediately for our date. Many of the "top companies" have an aesthetic that I was not looking for - I didn't want a "cheesy wedding video"! I wanted an artistic, candid movie set to music of our choosing. After talking and meeting with Stephen, I knew it would be a good fit. He worked with me to customize a package to fit our needs and budget, which I appreciated. He was also extremely timely in his responses to emails. On the day of the wedding, he showed up right on time and got right to work. Him and his 2nd shooter worked tirelessly (but never got in the way of anything!) to capture all of the pivotal moments as well as some unexpected candid footage as well. They were polite, professional, and discreet. It took a few months to get the final product (which we knew about going into it via the contract and is pretty standard, so nothing out of the ordinary), so the anticipation was building -- I was so excited to see what he put together! The end result was an awesome portrayal of our day and we will treasure the footage of the ceremony and toasts, as well as the edited to music short film, forever. Ironically, my husband was NOT interested in having a videographer but it was a top priority for myself so I ended up convincing him. After seeing the end product, even he admits he was wrong and that a videographer is a MUST HAVE!!! Photography is wonderful but doesn't always tell the whole story -- invest in both! They are the only thing that you have to cherish and remember after the big day (along with the memories and your new spouse!). Stephen was also very flexible in not only sending me the final footage via the internet and a thumb drive, but also creating Blu Ray discs for us and our parents to watch on different devices. Thank you Stephen! read more

Stephen did the videography for my brother's wedding and I've recently seen the highlight video he put together. Simply stated, he did a terrific job. Stephen has a great eye and a creative mind, both of which really came through in the highlight video. Set to music, he seamlessly stitched together scenes of the day in a little over 4 mins. with a pace that seemed natural, not rushed. My personal interactions with Stephen were limited as I was busy enjoying being part of the wedding party and he was busy filming (and, notably, not in a remotely intrusive way) but he seemed like a really solid guy who would be very easy to work with. Bottom line: Stephen's work is top notch and I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a videographer. read more

Stephen Alberts can be described in one word AMAZING. He captured my wedding on October 26th, 2013. I initially hired Stephen because my father-in-law couldn't make it to our wedding to San Diego. I'm so glad Stephen was part of our big day. It's worth every penny, nickle, and dime. His work is beautiful and he does an amazing job with the edits. I've shared the video with my entire family and friends and we all agree that he's incredibly talented. Here's my video: http://vimeo.com/m/88150522 If you need a videographer, don't look anywhere else, don't second guess, don't go with anyone else. Stephen is it! I would recommend him to EVERYONE. We just got our video from Stephen from our Dec wedding, and we could not be more pleased. The quality of the video, and his style of shooting was just beautiful. Even the raw footage was amazing! I didn't even see Stephen until the end of the night, he was so good at fitting in and stealing candid moments you didn't even notice. I didn't even feel like I attended my own wedding until seeing the video :-) He was great, and very reasonable packages too! read more

Stephen did an awesome job on our wedding video! He took excellent shots of every critical moments and weaved them into a touching story. My wife and were fortunate and lucky to have found Stephen. His work is superior to any videographer I have ever seen. Stephen is truly a professional in every aspect of how he operates his business and treats his clients. My project was very involved, with multiple days of recording at various locations, extensive editing and more. Stephen was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, from his constant communication, attention to detail, and quality of his work. The finished product turned out better than I could have hoped, and I'm beyond thrilled with it. I've already booked more projects with him, and can't imagine using anyone else for my videography needs. If you're in need of a videographer, look no further. You will never regret having Stephen to capture your Big Day. My husband is a photography/videography geek, and he picked Stephen out of a dozen best-Yelped videographers in San Diego, having reviewed all of their highlight films and filming equipment. Stephen really invests a lot in making the raw footage itself beautiful in color, composition and cut, unlike some videographers who rely on touchup efforts afterwards. Stephen excels in both shooting and editing. We hired him for the shooting only as my husband could do the editing himself (albeit not as greatly as Stephen does!). Watching Stephen's raw footage, you can tell he always had the editing process at the back of his mind while shooting, which minimizes your work afterwards and helps you tell a smooth, beautiful and touching story. He is also such a lovely and calm personality to work with in the run up to and on the day of your wedding. My husband and I feel really blessed to have him for our wedding, and would like to relay the deepest gratitude from both our families. Stephen was an incredible videographer. Don't waste your time looking at other websites or debating any more about this. I interviewed and stalked so many different videographers and I am SO glad that I chose him and that he was available. Stephen was laid back and literally the fly on the wall of my wedding day - I didn't know he was there but what was so amazing is the incredible video he created of our day. It is not *too long* it is the perfect length to capture the feeling of our day and I cannot look at it without crying. When I was debating whether or not to hire a videographer I was tempted to save the money and not have one - I am so glad that I did. It is not a video I watch often but it is a video that is priceless to me and I am so happy I have it to look in on whenever I feel like reliving the perfect day. THANK YOU!!! read more

Just saw the video Stephen made of our son's wedding. It was the best wedding video I have ever seen and I'm not just saying that because it was of two people I adore. Instead of some literal step by step replaying of the wedding, he edited in all the precious moments and all the candid things your eyes might have missed. It captured all the love and happiness of everyone present in a short period of time. Normally I run when people bring out the wedding videos but this was touching and sweet and not too long. I will love watching it again and again. If I could give more stars I would!!! read more

We fell in love with Stephen's work. He is talented and very creative. He doesn't follow a pattern like others do but he generates the event's own uniqueness to be the driving force of his work. We love the work Stephen did. He showed up on time (He drove all the way up from San Diego to Los Angeles for our wedding), he captured all the charm of our wedding, and he produced a great highlights video afterward. He was more than willing to spend extra time with me to nail the video exactly how we wanted it, and he was very patient with us (trust me, we are very particular and he was always happy to help). I highly recommend Stephen Albert's services to anyone who is looking for a professional to trust on their special day. read more

Hands down one of the best decisions for our wedding was hiring Stephen Alberts and his production company. At first we debated whether or not a wedding video was necessary, but here it is a year later and we think it was the best investment. Watching our raw footage and the custom highlight film brings back so many memories, and Stephen captured & edited them perfectly. The team was very easy to work with, accommodating a lot of special requests, and they were extremely discreet throughout the entire wedding. The final highlight reel was awesome, but we had a couple suggestions for cleaning it up and Stephen gladly accommodated without complaint. Not the cheapest wedding videographer (nor the most expensive), but definitely worth the investment because the professionalism of the team and quality of their product is second to none. read more

He is awesome. we had a big fat Persian wedding in Marina Village. We met before our wedding in his office and talked about details that we wanted to be captured such as our special ceremony ( sofreh aghd) he paid attention and took notes. He knows what he's doing. I looked for a videographer for almost 2 months and I called and emailed close to 60 individuals I finally chose him (through studio 19 which his partner); the reason? reasonable price and good quality. I will update this post as soon as I get the results back. read more

Going into wedding planning, I was on the fence about booking a videographer and had wanted to focus more of my budget on the photography, but boy am I glad I decided to do it. Stephen works very closely with my photographer and his services were offered as part of the package that I purchased for my wedding photos. As a result, we didn't have the opportunity to meet for a consultation prior to the event, but when he showed up on the day of the wedding Stephen exuded a friendly professionalism and warmth that made me feel immediately at ease. I expected to feel slightly uncomfortable with having a camera following me around the bridal suite while I was getting ready, but Stephen effortlessly navigated around the madness of the pre-ceremony hours, doing it so well that I hardly even noticed he was there. I think that is not only the mark of a good videographer, but a testament to just how easy and enjoyable he made the experience for all of us. Stephen's passion for what he does is evident in his work, but even more so in the dedication that he has to his clients. He is one of those rare professionals that truly invests in every story he creates. Stephen stayed later than expected the night of our wedding, and went above and beyond what he was contracted to do just to make sure that he captured every single special moment for us. I just received the link to our wedding highlight film last week, and have watched it every day since because I simply cannot get enough of it. I can honestly say I could not have envisioned a more beautiful or perfect representation of our wedding day. Watching it made me cry, laugh, dance, and and completely relive all of the most amazing moments of our day all over again. The arrangement of the footage was compiled in a way that was not only clean and consistent, but magnificently artistic, and I have found myself wanting to take still frames of the footage to print as photos because of how beautiful the shots are from start to finish. Stephen is an brilliant storyteller, and an exceptionally talented creative who has truly set the gold standard for professionalism in the wedding industry. We are so grateful to have found him and to have had the opportunity to work with him and will definitely be referring him to all of our friends who are getting married this coming year. This video will be something we have for the rest of our lives as a documentation of our special day, and we could not be happier with the result. Five stars and a HUGE recommendation for Stephen! read more
