Choosing A&S is the easiest decision you'll make. We heard about Aaron & Samantha from our wedding planner. From the minute we met them (via FaceTime!), we knew they (a) knew their stuff and (b) they would not stress us out on our actual wedding day. We liked that they worked as a pair so Aaron would be with the groomsmen while Samantha would be with the bridesmaids for the hours leading up to the wedding. So we crossed our fingers and chose A&S! First they did an engagement shoot for us. For anybody currently in the wedding planning process, consider doing an engagement shoot with the same photographer that you'll be with on your big day. We spent a few hours roaming around Balboa Park in San Diego with A&S getting to know each other, which made our wedding day feel like a reunion rather than an awkward first meeting :) We learned their style and they learned ours. Leading up to the big day, they were always accessible to us. As our event neared, they kept us on track by reminding us we should put together a shot list and were fine when we came back with a few rounds of changes. Finally, on the big day, we can't rave enough about how much we loved worked with A&S. My 3-year-old ring bearer decided he was going to be a Junior Photographer on that day so he had his Polaroid camera with him and followed A&S around taking pictures all afternoon. A&S were so gentle with him and in fact made him feel like he had a very important job to do. We can't thank A&S enough for the way they treated our beloved ring bearer. Aside from that, A&S kept a pretty tight ship on the wedding day. They went through our shot list religiously, ensuring that we took all of the pictures we planned for. However, when day of, we asked for a few additional ones, A&S didn't blink an eye. We expected it would take a few months to get our pictures back, but A&S surprised us and sent over ~40 pictures within a week of the wedding. We couldn't wait to look through them. They are both extremely talented, we loved what we saw, and cannot wait to get the rest of them back. AS Photography was great. I loved the photos on their website, and was so surprised to find out that they were actually in my price range because their work is so beautiful! They were fun, nice, friendly and low key. I was looking for a photojournalistic style, but the day of I actually requested a ton of staged photos (who knew?!?!). They worked seamlessly with the change, and directed us into some really fun shots. Aaron even saw an old photo of my parents and my Dad's siblings from back in the 80s... and decided to recreate the shot! My mom loved it so much that she gave a print of that photo with a print of the original to all the siblings for Christmas. Overall, I was really pleased with Aaron, Samantha and AS Photography. Aaron and Samantha photographed our wedding at the Japanese Friendship Garden this past August. They were very professional and great to work with from the beginning to the end - they provided detailed timelines, figured out our complicated family photos, were on time, etc. And, of course, the photos came out great! We hit the jackpot with Aaron & Samantha!!!!!!!!!! Their creative eye and unique approach to photography is what sold us on hiring them for our San Diego beach resort wedding. My husband and I are both artistic/creative people and knew we didn't want traditional cookie cuter wedding photos. We wanted a photographer that looked at things a little differently and had the creativity to capture the true feeling of the day. After looking through their portfolio and meeting with Samantha we were confident they shared that same vision. Aaron and Samantha at AS Photography shot our wedding on November 27, 2010, and we couldn't be any happier about the results. From our initial meeting, they were absolute professionals, constantly communicating and delivering everything they had promised. They were ready with answers to every single one of our questions, even suggesting ways to help our day run smoother than we had planned. As our wedding day approached, they were completely prepared with shooting schedules and detailed listings of our desired shots. All contracts were thorough and easy to understand. When it came time to actually shoot the wedding, they were absolutely passionate in helping us capture our special day, which is obvious in all of the amazing photos we received from them afterwards. During the ceremony, as well as during the reception that followed, they were completely unintrusive, but still captured every important moment, including many of the impromptu ones. In addition, AS Photography has a photo booth available for wedding receptions. I can easily say that it was one of the highlights of our evening. Our guests had a great time, and took home great photo strip souvenirs. The booth was manned by an attendant from AS Photography, who was professional and made sure everything went smoothly from the beginning of the night to it's close. We just received the DVD of our pictures in the mail, and the package itself was as exciting to open as our photos are to look at! It's very nicely packaged with their branded touch. They go the extra mile with their product and service to make it EXTRA special, when they could have just thrown an old DVD in an envelope, it came in a nice box with a flower and ribbon and our name stamped on it :) The pictures: incredible! Everything we were looking for. They tell a story with their photography, they don't just take posed pictures. Even the posed pictures look natural. They were totally non-intrusive and I can't believe they got the shots they did because I don't remember them being there most of the time. But when they were "there" they were a pleasure to be around, fun, kept up with our humor, and cracked a couple non-cheesy jokes. I totally love these two and their photo skills! read more

Aaron was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From the time we met him and booked his services he was nothing but professional and attentive. Aaron and Samantha are an amazing photography team. They are incredibly sweet, crazy talented, and will keep your wedding fun and on-track. My fiance and I were in a happy daze and completely forgot what pictures we had requested for our wedding. Aaron and Samantha are the best! My wedding was on August 4th and I could not be happier with my experience with them! From the pre-planning, the day of, all the way through to the pictures I just received. They were wonderful start-to-finish and I highly, highly recommend them. They were professional, knowledgeable, and really seemed to be everywhere at the wedding, which I appreciated. There is not a single moment that they did not capture or that I was left wishing they had, they got it all! Our wedding was on the beach in Coronado and even with the super bright sunlight, everyone looks great in the pictures and no one is washed out. The colors are really bright and clear. Aaron said the family formals after the event would take 20 minutes and he was right, he really kept to his word, which is hard with my family (who likes to wander off). He really takes charge, not rudely, but authoritatively, which is really what you need with family and is a big relief to the Bride. Aaron and Samantha came to my suite while I was getting ready and were a huge help in getting my family to get moving, get dressed, help me get dressed, etc. I was starting to get nervous and kept checking the time, but Aaron assured me he would get me to the ceremony on time, and he did. It was such a relief to have him there to organize us, which is not his job, but something he easily handled. And even though the Reception was a blur for me, I know they were a big part in keeping everything moving and on schedule. It was great having both of them, as Samantha was able to go to the Reception early to catch all those photos, while Aaron stayed with us and finished up the beach pictures. They are a great team, pleasant to work with, positive and calm. I never felt awkward around them, it was honestly like having two of my friends taking pictures, but then obviously doing a way better job than any of my friends would have done. I am really happy with my final pictures, all 785 of them (which is way more than I could have hoped for). They provided a link, but also a DVD, so I can print them on my own, which was really important to me. Their prices are very reasonable, especially for the high quality work and service you receive. We wanted more photo journal style pictures, that way when we would go through our wedding album we could remember the day and not just how pretty we looked! And man o' man did Aaron deliver...
