The atmosphere is very relaxed and John and Joe make you feel right at home. Their hygiene technics are second to none and will make you look at every tattoo parlor you visit after them with a different perspective. I had the pleasure of letting John put a half sleeve on me and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. He spend hours after work organizing my thoughts, incorporating my comments and putting together a piece that made sense and fit on my arm. He even worked me in in his down time to make sure I would get my piece done before I moved out of state John is a true artist and awesome human being. He will work with you, listen to what you have in mind for your tattoo and spend the time to make sure it is right before putting ink to skin. I am truly blessed to have had the chance to meet John and spend 19 hours with him putting his talent to work on my skin. Any tattoo artist who can hammer down all the necessary nuances of Hebrew on the twitching skin of one of my old friends gets props in my book. They've got a piercer on staff who seems to do good work, too, although she understandably struggled to healthily re-pierce my beloved's belly button (whoever did it before used a freaking earring - I kid you not). They've moved within the past two years into a new building slightly to the north of town - it's an odd, semi-removed location, but their reworking of the overall structure and interior of the place (it used to be a horse & tack store called The Saddlery, believe it or not, that was torched by its owner - oh, arson) has made it pretty nice. I really enjoyed the clean lines and openness of the inside, and the staff there (Joe included) are friendly and helpful. My one beef with the place is that it's quickly obvious, upon entry, that the staff and others smoke inside. For such a newer, well-put-together environment in an industry that focuses on high standards of cleanliness and sterilization, cigarette smoke clinging to everything (including your clothes when you leave after a mere half hour) is a downer. A surprisingly professional, quality tattoo shop in a town for whom "tattoo" is generally synonymous with a place called Crazy Ray's. No, I'm not kidding.

I went to moving pictures to get my nose pierced. The staff were very nice. That being said, they…read moremessed my piercing up pretty bad. They told me I could get pierced with a hoop (I have never heard of any piercing place doing this), and assured me it was totally fine. I wanted a hoop in the long run, so I went with it because if the piercer said it was fine then it should be fine right?? It was in fact not fine. I had a large irritation bump on my piercing for months. I went back to ask why the bump wouldn't go away and I was told there was hair in my piecing. There was not hair in my piercing. I ended up going to a different piercer who told me they should have never given me a hoop right after piercing because the wound will never heal correctly due to the angle of the hoop. He switched me out for a stud, told me to STOP using the saline solution as it just excessively dries out the piercing. Within a week of switching to a stud and stopping the use of the saline solution the bump was already almost gone. Once again, the staff were very kind. I'm not here to say never come to this place, but maybe just consider how they are potentially not using their best judgement at times!
