    My wife and I came to Bend on vacation and, while walking back to our car around 7 PM on Wednesday…read morenight, saw that this Salon featured feather extensions. Normally, by 7 PM any salon would be closed or well on the way to shutting down. Blue Star still had an employee working and there were two clients inside even though they were already slated to close. We, a walk in, were welcomed warmly and the employee in the shop (who's name we cannot recall - she was blonde, her husband was a brewmaster at Cascade Brewing) was more tha accomodating to our walk-in request. We chatted and waited for her to finish up with the other customers and, late into the evening, she installed my wife's selected hair feathers. At the end of it all, the awesome beauty purveyor offered my wife and I some of the delicious beer her husband brews - free of charge! Probably one of the best salon experiences we've ever had. Blue Star makes me wish I lived in Bend.

What Megan Sedres provided my wife was not even close to customer service. Although I wholeheartedly don't agree with your "policies" I do understand them. I also understand that there is a time and a place to take a hard line and when to compromise. Megan Sedres chose wrong...hence, you chose wrong. Your response shows a lack of understanding as to the situation and its tenets. I could agree with it for most people but I know my wife and so do many other people in this area. You didn't do your due diligence to contact her before (reminder call/text) or during her missed appt time. If it is a 3-hour block there was plenty of time for you all to reach out but you didn't. With regard to charging people X% of their expected service for a missed appt, that's a whole different discussion altogether. Make a policy that you all will call/message people a day prior as a 'courtesy' to remind them of their appt otherwise you will be forced to charge them a % of your over-priced services. We will happily take our business elsewhere and not direct business in your direction. Again, it was Megan Sedres' approach as well as yours that is so off-putting.
