Jen (owner) is the best and genuinely cares and wants your Pilates journey to be a good one. What a hidden gem in the area.

PLNK STL - Great clean facility!

PLNK STL

My favorite workout ever!!!…read more My mind and body have changed in such positive ways since starting PLNK. Now I can't ever imagine myself not coming as it sets my intentions and mood for the day. If you're looking for a huge change and challenge in your life, start today. Just trust me on this one, you won't regret it.

TLDR: exploitative membership terms, excessive penalties, poor quality instruction, and…read morenegligent/hostile management. Don't believe all the 5-star reviews, they solicit these with give-aways and raffles. Notice many of the reviews are from accounts that rarely ever review (especially on Google). Exploitative Membership Terms: If you want to buy more than a drop in class, PLNK puts you on auto renew / bill when you sign up, then restricts your ability to cancel in advance of the next billing cycle (must request in email 10 days in advance of the billing date). This keeps you locked in. Additionally, they heavily restrict the booking window on their passes. Classes are always booked out two weeks in advance. So, you're stuck with class passes you can't use, which then expire. This has happened to me on numerous occasions and at $30-35/class this really hurts. Excessive Penalties: They also penalize you with an extra $20 fee in addition to the $35 class fee you if you don't show up, and $15 fee if you cancel within 24 hours. They then take your space and give it to someone on the waitlist. If that person isn't there in person to take your spot when you no-show or last minute cancel, they are also charged a no-show fee. This is how they turn a $35 seat in their class into a $90+ seat. Negligent / Hostile Management: You aren't allowed to speak or interact with management -- they cite personal safety concerns (??) -- and instead put all the responsibility for dealing with guest complaints to their front desk staff who are unpaid interns. If you do manage to reach management via their anonymously maintained studio email addresses, they will gaslight you and and threaten you with being banned from the studio. I had this experience first hand and their harassment continued after I cancelled my membership and left the studio. Poor Quality Instruction / Injury Risk Finally, the quality of the instruction in low with teachers turning over really quickly and minimal training. Many teachers either are unable to or were not trained to describe the physiology of the movements, instead relying on branded names for each, and assuming you know it. When you look around the studio you always see many people looking confused and looking at each other for guidance. The risk of injury is high here.

This is the second studio that I normally frequent. I usually work out in Crestwood, but I do come…read morehere for a class or 2 as well during the week. While this studio is a little older, it seems to have friendlier and more interactive clientele. The location is perfect for me when coming home from work and wanting to go straight to a class. Mostly, I take a class here over the weekend or late at night during the weekdays. Some of the reformers may show some wear and tear, but they do a great job maintaining. They use a sprayer and washcloth for cleaning purposes, which I actually prefer more than the disposable wipes as it decreases the amount of garbage output. The instructors are very friendly! This is a nice studio to workout in, and I enjoy the bonus interactions as well. The classes are a lot more varied here, and I can usually find an open spot for certain classes I want to take without having to sign up for it weeks in advance.

I joined Club Pilates Brentwood (St Louis) a year ago and just finished class 90 today, whoa…read more After a double mastectomy and years of not working out I joined CP and told myself I was committing, all in, NO excuses (and I love making excuses). I don't want to be one of those folks who talks about working out all the time (hehe...you know 'em) but I will tell you I crave my time on the reformer. It clears my mind and resets my body. I stand taller, am stronger, leaner and my range of motion is dramatically different than it was a year ago. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and skills and am fully dedicated to my practice. I cannot recommend this studio and staff more highly. The staff are truly amazing!!!! When I step in the door I know it's a community where I want to be. The people are great, they (instructors, staff and members) want the same things I want. They are helpful and will take extra time to ensure members are confident in their work on the reformer. There are lots of class options and the staff are consistently looking to add more to keep up with the demand. If you think you cant do this I challenge you to try! Your body is entirely capable, I am proof. Reformer pilates at Club Pilates Brentwood is part of my life and I am SO MUCH better because of this studio and the people there. Shout out to Tanya and Lee...these two instructors (and my most attended classes) are AMAZING! They are truly goals and when I am out of town or unable to attend I miss it so much. What are you waiting for?!

I have struggled with finding a solid workout routine my whole life- admittedly I am a lazy bag of…read morebones, but that's not a great excuse to not be active...especially in my 20s! One day last month, I randomly decided to just DO SOMETHING. Anything! And I found Just Pilates STL. I was intimidated signing up, because I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The inner (and outer, lol) chubby kid within me hates working out around others, but I thought I'd give it a go. Immediately upon walking in the studio for the first time, Natalie greeted me with a huge smile and loads of encouragement. She helped me realize it's okay to meet your body where it's at, and you don't have to be perfect right away...you just have to try. I have never felt so at home so quickly, where I'm welcomed and wanted. Each class since, I am greeted with that same enthusiasm, both from Natalie and the other classmates. We all share one goal: healthy movement. Nobody in the class is trying to outdo you, they're focused on themselves! If you're like me, and you do not like being perceived while working out, but you also hate going to the gym...this is for you. I promise it is NOT scary whatsoever, it is probably the thing I am most grateful for finding in 2025. Thank you Natalie and crew, I am so so grateful for you and this studio!!!!

This is my first pilates class so I don't have anything to compare it to but I enjoy the workout…read moreand the instructor is the owner, who is fun. I stretch in places I never thought I needed to and workout areas that normally do not get moved around that much. All of this is done without "breaking" me. It is a warm and inviting environment as I am NOT in shape but I have been here 5 times and have felt improvement each time I come. They have a deal for new people which is crazy good so it is worth at least giving a try. They are in the same building as "Just Dancing." TLDR: Worth at least trying. A non-judgmental environment. Good teacher. Off of Manchester near old Staples building near 141.

I wanted to wait a bit after signing up to write this review to give this place a chance to prove…read moreitself to me as a client. I initially signed up for the free 30-minute class because I wanted to find out what Pilates is all about. I have been doing home workouts for years but read a lot of good things about how Pilates can improve posture, which eventually lessens back pain, etc. The instructor teaching the free 30-minute session was not the nicest. However, I really wanted to give it a try and didn't want that one experience to dissuade me, so I signed up for an 8 class a month membership. The first month was 20%, and then a full membership fee at $159 every month. You are only bound to a 3-month contract, and it goes month to month, which isn't bad, in my opinion. They do require a 30-day notice to cancel. I eventually upgraded to the unlimited package because it has been a struggle trying to get in a class at the studio. It's better than back in January when all the New Year's resolutioners were very active, but it can still be challenging signing up for classes. The unlimited allows you to sign up classes at other studios, which is great! It's $199 a month. The Crestwood studio is new and spacious with new equipment, high ceiling, and friendly staff. I, of course, have my favorite instructors, but I think most of them are fine. Now on to the classes. I am actually enjoying them way more than I initially thought. Also the reason why I upgraded my membership. Pilates has been a great addition to my workout routine, and I have found my favorite instructors. Learning spine alignment, body awareness, and being conscious of my breathing during exercise have been helping me with my other workouts as well. While Pilates is low impact, the overall benefits of the workout are quite surprising. I have been signing up for classes 4 times a week, and I have been noticing the difference. I look forward to the classes and am looking forward to some continued benefits from doing this workout. I'm glad I gave Pilates a try! Now I'm hooked. My rating is a 5 based on studio conditions, staff, and overall workout experiences I have had for the past 5 months. I know signing up for classes is still a challenge, and they are working on adding more, so give it time.
