I yelped/googled/social media'd this place because: 1) I'm all about reviews 2) I'm all about cleanliness. 2 Polished succeeded in both categories. I was going away for the weekend and needed a quick wax. A last minute decision which luckily ended up at 2 Polished. I called and was greeted over the phone with a friendly voice and luckily was able to land an appointment within 30 minutes time. YES! Parking was a breeze because it's all street parking outfront, and upon entering I was pleasantly surprised but how charming it is inside. It's a bit smaller than your average salon/spa but I can appreciate the coziness of it and how everything looked CLEAN and well taken care for. There are 2 pedi stations on your right with stainless steel basins (used fresh every time, double yes), a mani station on your left and a loungey chair in the back which I assume are for lash appointments. Behind the mani station there is a small room for waxes and the like. I was greeted by the receptionist and was told Angie was just preparing for my appointment and that she'd be out in a second. I really had no idea who Angie was, but turns out she is the heart and soul of 2 Polished. The wax itself was pleasant (as pleasant as a wax can be) and I loved that she took her time. I've gotten so many waxes in my lifetime and you won't believe how lazy people can get. Angie used gloves, disposable wooden waxing applicators, fresh bed paper, etc etc. Just basically anything you might be worried about when it came to hygiene...she took care of it. And the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend 2 Polished and can't wait for my next service. From looking at their instagram, I'd probably try getting my lashes done next time too.

Staff went over expectations, procedure and self care post treatment. Spa was clean and staff changed supplies between clients (eg towels, liners). I have had the procedure done before so I knew what to expect. Cash or debit only. I found the price for the procedure to be reasonable compared to what I paid previously. There is ample street parking in the area.

I made my appointment with Elaine after reading so many nice reviews about her. She did an AMAZING job. She was extremely gentle and took her time to make sure they were perfect. She was helpful in my choosing of length, shape, etc. I got a full set of hybrid lashes for $115 CAD including tax. Pretty good deal considering I'm from the states and it's at least $200 there. I will most definitely return to this salon and Elaine for my fill!

Pretty much whatever she recommends to me is gold so when I was looking to try out micro blading for my first time, I knew I would be coming to Grand Arc. There aesthetician who did my brows was Jen and she did a really good job making me feel comfortable pointing out all the details and not missing anything. She was kind and patient with my questions and concerns and even taught me that mine were not balanced which I had not noticed ever before in 31 years of life! Until she said that I always thought every single pair of sunglasses and glasses I put on were crooked. Game changer! During the appointment, she was methodical and detail oriented. Continuously asking me if I had any questions or concerns. She addresses your concerns and has great knowledge. She would always let me know every step she was doing and when she was doing it which helped me ease into the process. She always informed me on what to expect. When she was finished she spent some time with me looking over the shape, tweaking and perfecting to make sure I am 100% happy with them. She doesn't rush you out of there like some appointments do. On top of all that she's very friendly and easy to talk to! It floored me how quickly dates disappeared from the booking calendar - though that's also a pretty strong indicator of how popular/sought-after a brow appointment at Brow Beauty is! During the day of, Melissa was great with advising me on what shape/color would work best for me (she's the expert!) and definitely helped to put me at ease. The process itself was relatively painless and lasted a little over two hours. Afterwards, she was clear on how important post-care was - no exercise, stay out of direct sunlight and the ever important, don't pick at scabs! The healing process itself took about two weeks, and the best piece of advice I have for anyone going through this is to trust the staff and trust the process. Right after the appointment there was definitely some mild swelling (which I was forewarned about) and I'd read enough stories/reviews describing the post-appointment look as "Angry Birds." Thankfully, I had more of a "Mildly Concerned Birds" look during the first two days, but within the first week, the healing process started and the brows both lightened and thinned out - just as Melissa had assured me they would! Thankfully they were able to fit me in with less than a week's notice, for which I'm grateful. The salon is conveniently located downtown in The Duncan Building which is a beautiful carriage building with various types of salons and other businesses inside. Even though my appointment was right at the time they were supposed to open, they were already open and set up. My MUA/Hair Stylist, Jane, was super sweet and kind. She also asked all the right questions to make sure she delivered everything I wanted. Honestly she did such an incredible job, better than I could have hoped for. I've never felt quite that glamorous, despite having had my make up done professionally soo many times. I loved my look and look forward to working with Jane again in the future. She really is such a natural talent and really excels with the type of looks I love
