When I complained they did give me another girl who fixed some of the issues and I did go to her for a while but went back to my old technician as soon as I could during the summer (long drive but worth it). In the winter I tried the girl at moda lash again. There are pictures on their website of the lash design I asked her for but she did not do that. When I asked her to fix it, she did try but right after that the owner rudely called to tell me they would not do my lashes because it was too much trouble. All of the reviews you will read are TRUE! Polina is amazing...... "mic drop!" It was a wonderful experience to have such professionalism and an actual explanation of things. My previous salon just assumed I knew what I wanted and how things work. Well I didn't, which let to not liking my eyelashes the first few time. I also didn't understand why they were falling out in chunks and never looked quite right. Polina explained that the length and thickness you can wear will have limits based on your own lashes. My previous technician just seemed to throw whatever on and it always seemed rushed. There is real care and precision taken while Polina makes you look your best. I was much happier with my new look and my lashes felt more comfortable, more natural. I also feel they actually look more natural, even though they are fuller and curlier than I could ever hope to have with my mediocre genetics lol. I did the plush volume mix set. $120 for a new set, which included removal of the disaster set I had on. The Beauty Corner is small, but it's clean and comfortable with competitive prices. You get to listen to some old school tunes while Polina does her thing! Tips are also not expected. I tried to tip and she would not let me lol. It's kind of nice when you are already forking out so much Moolah! Just a heads up.....it's a little hard to find this place, so make sure you look for the address. There is no street sign or sandwich board to alert you. I walked right passed it lol!

I had a mixed Russian + classic full set done. Unfortunately, my experience was very different from…read morethe other reviewers. Please note that I have been regularly getting my lashes done for the last 4 years. I've recently moved to the Kits area so I was in search for a new technician. I have never had such an uncomfortable experience in all these years. The process was very uncomfortable and painful to the point where I even considered stopping the appointment. My eyelids were taped uncomfortably too high at the corners. The tape was pulling on my eyelids so hard that my eyes were pulled slightly open and the bright light was blinding me. I managed to wiggle my eyes out of the grip that I could keep my eyes 100% closed. My top eyelids felt too exposed and the glue was stinging me. Throughout the appointment, her hand kept resting on my forehead or nose which made it very uncomfortable and unprofessional as well. I was also disappointed with my initial consultation prior to beginning the appointment. I communicated that I wanted full, dramatic long lashes. There was one lash left from my previous set (done by a different technician) and she told me that the lash was too heavy for my natural lashes and that she wanted to preserve my natural ones. Fair enough, however I am fully aware of what I'm signing up for and the risks involved. I wanted something dramatic since I was leaving for a beach vacation the very next day and didn't want to put on any other extra makeup during this time. However, after some more back and forth, she insisted that we go a more natural look so I eventually agreed. Once the appointment was finished and I went home to have a good look, I was very disappointed since it did not have the dramatic look that I was hoping for. For a natural look, the lashes and texturing turned out nice. Unfortunately, it just wasn't what I wanted. Unfortunately, I will not be returning due to the uncomfortable procedure and unwillingness to cater to the client. In hindsight, I'm upset at myself for not directly speaking up or giving constructive criticism during my appointment. Live and learn.

They do great work with manis, I love the variety of design and the products they use. They really take the time to ensure that clients are happy with the result, so please expect your service to take around an hour long. They have a great selection of gel and shellac products and their techniques are great. With shellac it's so important to ensure the nails are primed correctly to avoid lifting and they really take their time to do all the proper steps. One comment is that I like my cuticles trimmed and clean and I feel like they could probably do a little more cuticle work on mine - it's just a personal preference though so it might be fine for some others. I had a pedicure here before but I prefer another place down the street for that because I like my heels super smooth and they only do manual exfoliation and no scraping. Once again this is a personal preference so if you like a more gentle pedicure I'm sure you will enjoy the services here! The owner and technicians are VERY friendly and accommodating - great customer service and you really feel like you are a valued customer. I'm going to try their lash extensions next so i will update my review afterwards!

Easy same day booking!! Very pleasant on the phone as well. Location is on Broadway right beside the BC Liquor store. I have probably walked passed this salon 1000 times and have just not noticed it. Well, now it's my new nail jam! "We Do Beauty" is an elegant and simple beauty salon. Very clean and quiet. Elegant jazzy music fills the salon and comfy sofa chairs with pillows for ultimate relaxation. No fancy massage chairs here but I really didn't miss them. The staff are very friendly, speak English lol, and will actually talk to you if you feel like chatting. I went for a gel mani-pedi combo. The ladies both made sure I was comfortable and plenty of time and care was taken to do my beauty treatments. I am very happy with the work done. It was not rushed at all like I find most salons are now days. Perfect nail work. I really appreciate that they are more concerned with your comfort than theirs. I had to tell one of the girls to grab a chair because I was worried about her back lol There is WiFi provided for you if you ask. They offer cold and hot water. My only complaint for this salon is that it's too cold!!!! Brrrrrrrr All the staff members were in sweaters lol. I mentioned it and they said it was always cold and they didn't have control of the heat. I mentioned buying a heat fish from Costco. When you come for your nail treatment this winter, bring a comfy sweater because you will need it!!! I will be back. Good work ladies!!!!!!!

We all know we can't deal with messed up brows !!!! I'm very picky and attach lots of importance to how my brows look. I chose threading (as always). She first cleansed off the areas I was threading (brows and upper lip). Then proceeded to ask me what shape I was aiming for. She drew a canvas and showed me what she would do. It wasn't painful nor discomforting because she was quick and her gestures were sharp and concise. Once done she offered to apply soothing gel (rose or aloe vera). I wasn't red and puffy. Perfect arched brows and clean upper lip. It was 38$. It's expensive and I believe it's because there is a massage.
