I just called to make an appointment. The receptionist who answered didn't really speak English. I'm trying hard to learn French since I moved here, but it's a struggle. We both tried, but she eventually said "just a minute", put me on hold (presumably to get someone else), and then a couple minutes later the line was disconnected. It might have been a mistake, but I had similar difficulties before. I feel like an inconvenient customer for them, so I figure I will do both parties a favour and go elsewhere. I should add that my boyfriend has been coming here for years and really likes it. Frankly, it's my own fault for living in Ahuntsic and the Ontario government's fault that I failed to learn French. It's a nice enough salon, but if you're in my situation, you might have an easier time elsewhere.

My hairdresser back home in Ontario had been doing my hair for 15yrs. She knew her products, knew her job, and had major pride in her work. I have been trying to find someone like this since I got here. I really thought this one was it. They're FB reviews are great, as is their website reviews. It took me an hr and a half to get there as they are on the south shore, and I had to take public transit. Google Maps isn't up to date on their address, so I got lost. But that's not their fault at all. I guess I should start with the fact that I made an appt over a month in advance, but no one had ever called me to confirm. So I called again that morning to make sure I would be seen. My appt was for 4pm. I after getting lost, I get there and there are 2 hairstylists working, and each are braiding hair. I sat down to wait. I was super hungry after 30 min, so I asked if I had time to go and eat, and was told I should hurry. (Total B.S). So I went to eat, got back and waited....and waited..... and waited. After an hr one of the hairstylists asked me what I was getting done, and I said relax, deep condition, style with a trim. She picked a relaxer I really didn't want, so I asked if I could choose my own. She asked what I'd like, and I stated Motions. She said ok, but never even got the box. She used her choice, even after I mentioned what I'd like. I waited 3.5 hrs for someone to work on me. I didn't leave because it had taken 1.5hrs to get there and I didn't have time to go anywhere else. This was for my wedding in a weeks time. I needed it done that day. So after all of the wait I was finally seen. She was just ok. I had to ask that she trim my hair as the last stylist I went to botched that, and I needed it to be fixed. In the end when I paid, it was $105. That's more than I've ever paid, especially for such a long wait, and a lack luster job. When I checked my email, I noted I was charged $15 to trim my ends. WHAT?? So you make me wait, and instead of having pride in your work, and making my hair look the best it could, you charged me to trim off my spit ends? B.S. AND she didn't even trim my bangs or make the left and right side match, I had to do it myself when I got home. If you're going to charge me to trim my hair, then do a damn good job. Lastly her assistant offered to drive me back to the metro. But you'd think if she offered she'd know where it is. Closest one is Bonaventure or Longueuil. She drove me all the way to D'Iberville. It took me longer to get home from the metro than it did to get to the damn salon. All in all, I will NOT be returning to this salon. My hair was pretty decent, and nice and silky. But the experience I had was extremely sub par. I am not happy at all with this place. Where are the salons that give a damn? Where is the pride in your work? Unacceptable.

She always comes up with suggestion on how to make me look like I have more hair then I really do and always has interesting conversation. The support staff is also very nice, I'm always treated like I'm the most important person in the place and they are quick to offer up a drink once your hair has been washed or if you get there early and find yourself having to answer some email and read the paper. I like this place for the simple reason that I've been coming here for five years and even with the staff changes they manage to keep the experience and fun. Her cuts grow out beautifully and turn out exactly the way you want them to (as in she will never take liberties without asking you first/is a freakish mind-reader). The customer service is great, the ambiance is super cool, and the cappuccinos offered are a lovely touch. Highly recommend!

(Extremely nice!) Francois and the woman hairdresser (not sure of her name) are excellent at what they do and make sure you're absolutely satisfied with their work. The small workspace is cozy and suitable for two clients or so at a time but it works well with the constant friendly conversation and local radio stations that envelope the shop. The prices are cheap and especially great for students! $23 for boys & $30 for girls, and make sure to tip them quite well! They deserve it!

I left with an even darker shade and complained about it. The only answer I received was that it was the most affordable way to dye my hair without having to bleach it!!! I can't believe I paid 120$ and left. I would have expected a much better customer service.They were not even sorry or apologized for their mistake ( and it was THEIR mistake), they made me feel it was me who asked for something impossible to do... Will never go back there. They surely didn't understand what I was looking for or didn't care enough about their customer... Very very bad experience.
