What I got in return was a blunt and heavy cut with no style - I asked for a trim but he ended up taking off a good two inches plus. Totally butchered it. My long-flowing locks are no more. Now I have no choice but to let it grow out for the next few months to get it back to the length I had it originally. The color was good. At least. But that's the easy part, let's be serious here.

Booking an appointment was easy and a smooth process. They booked me in for the time slot I was free and told me I would get Sacha. Got there for my haircut and met Sacha. We discussed the photos I had saved and the look I was going for at length and he was very patient and responsive! We agreed on a style and he gave me exactly the same look I was going for!!! I was very nervous, as my hair is complicated to cut. I have always had very thick, curly and long hair and was worried going in, but he promised that was his favourite type to cut. The small workspace is cozy and suitable for two clients or so at a time but it works well with the constant friendly conversation and local radio stations that envelope the shop. The prices are cheap and especially great for students! $23 for boys & $30 for girls, and make sure to tip them quite well! They deserve it!

Yesterday I arrived to lime coiffure and had the hairdresser wash my hair, and totally did not acknowledged that she was wetting my entire back. She then cut my hair which WAS long and no longer had layers. She made 2 big layers instead of many tiny layers. My hair now looks like she started to cut my hair into a bob and then her scissors broke and no longer continued to cut my hair. She took out at least 4 cm of my hair that i have been growing out for 6 months. When I finally decided to go TRIM my hair, this happens. To get rid of the split ends she used this sorts of blade that you only use on straight hair which I don't have. The reaction to using it on curly hair is that it makes your hair look like it is burnt. Hope you take this into consideration when you are looking for a new hair dresser. When making a new appointment you should expect to wait; everyone is very booked up but definitely worth the wait! Dimitra fixed my messy mane after a new colourist took over after my old colourist moved to the UK. I always sit down and just ask her to fix my hair and she always knows what to do and makes it look beautiful. Joe cuts my hair without only ever taking off just as much as is needed and doesn't over style or use to many products. The receptionist are sweet, friendly and very efficient. As a little background, I haven't been able to have my hair colored in a salon for years due to how expensive it is, but I have finally reached a place in my life where I am financially ok, and able to treat myself with something like this. I was very excited. They took a $75 deposit for the appointment, which I was really looking forward to. However, the next day I was called and told my appointment was cancelled because my colorist did not feel comfortable bleaching my hair and was afraid of damaging it. I understand that everyone has their own comfort levels and boundaries, but I am not sure she is in the right line of work. All bleach damages hair - I am fully aware of this! I am an adult capable of making my own decisions. It seems strange to make an appointment for a new client and then cancel on them the next day. A little unprofessional, and pretty crushing for someone who is finally able to afford these expensive services! If you don't want your new client, say so at the consultation. I really feel like my time was wasted. They refunded the deposit at least. But I won't go back.
