Thank you, Daniel!!! You were so friendly and my tattoo turned out better than anything I could have imagined. I realized far too late that I was probably annoying you by talking so much. But you put up with me and talked back. When I come back for my next tattoo, I promise not to do that again. Thanks for putting up with me and drawing up the perfect rude boy for me! Guys, if you need an amazing tattoo, go see Daniel. He is an incredible artist, but he's also just a really great person. read more

I really appreciated that they took my age into account when we set up the appointment. Aging skin is thinner than younger skin and I needed someone who was experienced with working with aging skin. I had David Doty who was perfect! The vibe is very relaxed and calm. The people who worked there lined each other and it made for a pleasant and safe environment. Everything was clean and set up nicely. Lots of paperwork to do but it's important since what they do changes you permanently. David did a beautiful job on my tattoo. I would definitely go back to him if I ever decided to get another one. They take a down payment when you make the appointment but you pay the balance with cash when you arrive for your appointment. read more

I love this place! Everyone here is amazing. David Narvaez has brought my ideas into reality! He specializes in black and white realism and is a true ink savant! If you want to bring wildlife to your ink concept, he's your guy! Studio Lumos most likely has an artist for that bucket list idea you've been putting off. Just schedule an appointment to discuss before everyone figures out Oregon's best kept tattoo parlor secret. The level of professionalism, customer service and artistic genius is all top shelf. If you like the idea of a tattoo, but picture a smoke filled drug din with blow motors howling outside so you're afraid to look into it... hit the reset button and picture a Gaia blessed space where the positive vibes will bring clarity to your vision. I came in for one idea I had to memorialize my lab who passed away this last December. David put his actual paw print over my heart. That was such a healing experience I shared some other ideas... now I'm on my fifth idea! I'm really enjoying the process. Ink therapy is definitely a thing! read more

I have gotten two tattoos now from Samantha Lewis and am absolutely in love with her work and this studio! When you walk in, the atmosphere is immediately comforting and everyone of the staff is incredibly friendly. Samantha was happy to answer my questions and made sure I was comfortable during the whole process. Her art style is so delicate and I always get compliments about the piece on my arm. I truly cannot say enough good things about this place! I fully recommend it to anyone looking for a tattoo! read more

I love everything about this shop, this woman and the atmosphere. Samantha is so awesome and really invited you into herself when you walk into her studio. It's a tiny shop but it's so welcoming as she does sage the space. She talks with you completely about what you're looking for in your piece and is just an all around great person. Her books are honestly so full I recommend getting in there as fast as you can!! Thank you so much for this piece of art girl. I will be coming back soon. read more

I have received two tattoos from Alice. Both are stunning, exactly what I wanted and show her artistry and personal tattoo style in a way that meshed with my own flair. The new studio is beautiful, clean, and COVID protocols are being followed to a T. Love these kids, they are doing an amazing job bringing a different kind of tattoo shop to the area. not intimidating, up front with pricing, and a fun group of people you enjoy spending the afternoon with as you are poked with needles over and over again read more

Had the BEST experience with Daniel with the help of Samantha taking my over the phone consult. I was hesitant about just sending inspiration photos in and discussing what I wanted over the phone but Samantha asked all the right questions and Daniel went above and beyond to deliver. Having had multiple tattoos done up and down the west coast, some very customized, I can say without a doubt I have never been treated with such genuine intent to make my tattoo amazing and my experience outstanding. Daniel was a true gem, a one of a kind artist. The studio is so welcoming with good energy to help you relax and enjoy the creativity happening. Will DEFINITELY be back very soon! read more

Beware! Avoid any tattoo artist that refuses to give their hourly rate or an estimate on how long they think a session will take, and then refuse to meet with you when you ask - like David Doty @ Studio Lumos Tattoo. Pretty sketchy. If you like his style, go to Wendi Kai in Springfield, OR - she is waaaay more talented and is fair and transparent with pricing, although she does have a waiting list, but it is absolutely worth it. Backstory: I talked with David 2 months ago, as I wanted 3 very small, very simple things done plus one larger piece. He quoted me $1000, which I thought was a lot, but I assumed, foolishly perhaps but in good faith, that was the max I should expect to pay but most likely less. So fast forward, we're scheduled to meet tomorrow, so I text him as I am curious to see if he has anything sketched up yet and, since I can't remember if he mentioned it, I ask him his hourly rate and how long he thinks it will take. He responds right away that he doesn't do hourly rates, that I should go to someone else, and he's cancelled our appointment. (In all fairness, they do state on their website they don't do hourly rates, which I hadn't seen.) I was simply seeking information to clarify his pricing, not haggle or insult him. I even responded that I didn't have an issue with his pricing and I really wanted to keep the appointment, but nothing. I'm sure he is talented and I'm always happy to pay top price for a good tattoo, but I've never experienced such unprofessional and what seems like childish behavior. As for owner/management, it seems obvious this is the first time they've ever run a business of any kind. I wish them all the best... read more
