After being tattooed by Anji, I discovered my love of Thai food. I think the combination of ink and sweet, salty rice noodles gave me super powers beyond my wildest dreams. I rejected the can of unicorn meat that she offered me, as I am a vegan. She said it was mythical, and therefore vegan, but also made for a great breakfast. Tattoo experience one two three I went in with a partner to get a tattoo, in which I teased that person about getting a vagina tattooed on their throat... Anj then prompted me to get a vagina tattoo on my knee ditch by her. I willingly agreed in utter glee. As I sat for the beautiful sharpie outline I started getting the butterflies and realized what I had gotten myself into. This spot I was getting a tattoo and custom piece of art on was extremely sensitive. As the tattoo began my body literally started going into the overwhelming pain stage where it took all of my energy to hit that focal point in my vision. Slowly as the tattoo progressed I started getting these waves of being lifted into the air. I had visuals of God or an angel coming over me. I was 100% sober for this entire experience. As people in the room chatted it brought me back into reality. I now wish it would have been just Anj and I in the tattoo room so that I could focus a little better. This went on for quite some time. I will never shake those beautiful memories of what happened that night. After that tattoo was finished we discussed the second knee ditch of a "chocolate starfish" The starfish tattoo was an exceptional experience. I am forever grateful for my artist being my friend that night cause it was particularly hard on me. During our session I had some personal life drama come up that could not be avoided. She was more than accommodating. As the tattoo started it felt way more painful than the last, but I truly enjoyed my Tattoo artists company way more on this session. I felt a quieter seat within myself for this one. 3-cuttlefish, I was in a much different place in my life for this piece. With a heart full of gratitude I got to sit for another session with the amazing and talented Anji Marth. I picked a pice of her art that I had seen at a gallery showing. This session was waaaay less intense and waaaay more fun!!! The tattoo itself didnt hurt nearly as bad because it was in a different pain zone on my body. I couldn't be more pleased with the healing and color of this piece. Its fucking brilliant. The first tattoo is the same color as it was when it healed in 2006. All of her art on my body has held up against my minor addiction to the sun. Which is impressive. I try to use sunscreen as much as possible to prevent fading.
