Calusa Glass did an outstanding job replacing the large picture window on our stairway landing…read more This was not a simple installation. We wanted impact-resistant insulated glass without a center separator bar, which required sourcing a commercial-grade window due to the oversized dimensions. Silvio worked hard to locate the right product during a time when material pricing and availability were constantly changing, and the final result was absolutely worth it. The installation itself was also challenging because the crew had to work from an exterior scaffold in a very confined area. The installers were extremely professional, efficient, and clearly experienced. They handled the entire process carefully and confidently from start to finish. In addition to the window installation, they removed and disposed of the old metal shutters, completed the surrounding wall repair work, and even handled touch-up painting around the new window. Everything was cleaned thoroughly before they left -- including the glass itself and the surrounding work area. The finished window looks fantastic and completely transformed the stairway space. Excellent workmanship and professionalism all around.

Calusa Glass delivered the three C's, Cost, Communication and Quality…read more In February 2022, my wife wanted to put a glass door between the living area and the sleeping areas in our house in order to create a sense of separation. We contacted Calusa Glass to build our 10 ft tall glass door and they did a great job. Silvio sat down with us and really understood what my wife wanted and the look she was going for. He made recommendations that made the piece stand out even more than our original concept. Once he knew what we wanted, he drew it up, had a manufactured, and had his technicians come and install it. Every person who walks into our house comments on how wonderful the door looks and how much class it adds to the house. Then, in December 2023, we called on Calusa glass again to create a 72 inch diameter glass table topper for our wood dinner table. Again, Silvio, took the time to understand what look my wife wanted and delivered a great piece that has garnered only positive comments and will protect the wood beneath it for as long as we have the table. For custom glass, I would only recommend Silvio and Calusa Glass.

The window upstairs is no longer is off the track. They replaced the track and I can finally open the window without fear that the thing will come crashing down on me. While Mike was here giving me an estimate, I asked if he fixed sliding glass doors. He said yes and quickly diagnosed the problem. They needed parts for one repair so we scheduled a time for today to do the repair. They arrived early and got both jobs done in an hour. The window and the sliding glass door now work perfectly.

They didn't give me an AI response saying they need to come by to do an estimate or do a consultation. I appreciate the clear answer. 2) prompt responses within the Yelp messaging system. Awesome. 3) the quote was very accurate. They said "this price to fix" and "this price if and when added materials are needed" Cool, I have a very good idea of what to expect.. 4) Luis the technician came on time!! 5) Luis took his time to carefully fix the frame, he preserved my mesh, so I didn't have to pay more to replace the mesh. (I appreciate that so much). Also, he took extra time to adjust everything and make sure everything fits and go back the right way. 6) Take Zelle, sent me a receipt and then told me there is a one year warranty, because he knew I might not look at the receipt. LOL. Yes, recommend!!

I'll be honest, I did check out other vendors and decided to go with QDD because of his experience. Well here I am today letting you know my thoughts and experience. From my very first call to the store I was treated with professionalism and kindness. I was not to familiar with the area and they gave me landmarks. I arrived to a clean, organized and with lots of options store. I had the measurements so a very accurate estimate was given. The following day Alex came out to my house to do the final measurements and finalized my order. I was explained the process the day prior by Melisa (I think that was her name, sorry) and she answered all my questions (plenty). Alex also explained to me the work in detail. My order was delayed (COVID) but was kept informed at all times. Upon delivery of my door I was given the choice to come in and inspect but they assured me that they do their own quality check. Installation was scheduled and Roger came out to my home to install. I have recently done lots of jobs on home and I am beyond surprised of the work Roger did. He is clean, detailed, polite a true pleasure. QDD you know how to pick your employees. I like my neighbor recommend QDD for your Windows and Doors with out a dought.

When I got the keys they had seemingly forgotten to seal in the panes, leaving them literally loose and rattling around. They came back, and made a token gesture, including some foam. The result was a door that didn't slide properly, had a gap in two different areas that allowed both excessive noise and dirt from the road to come through at will. A year of trying to get them to come back out and sort the issue has gone ignored. They don't pick up my calls, or return my texts. I left it a few months and they must've accidentally picked up my call, said they'd send a tech, and a week passed and they had gone back underground. Bottom line, I called another company to fix their issue - almost $1500 - they came out to quote in 24 hours and had me on the schedule the next week. If I could give Advance Glass Contractors 0* I would. I was beyond patient and they simply could not care less to fix their awful job.
