We walked in and were not greeted (maybe they're not used to new people?) and it seemed to be run by young people (20 year olds). We had to ask them for instructions on what to do because they weren't saying anything. The dancers all seemed to know exactly what to do, so maybe everyone is used to how things go, but we didn't like that there was no lead for first-timers. Kind of seemed like no one cared to see us in, or out. So we left and never came back. There was one TV monitor where you watch each class on a square on the monitor (4-6 squares on one screen) and a small space where you have to fit in with all the other waiting parents and siblings.

(Musical Theater 1, Musical Theater 2, tap 1, tap/ballet , jazz and HipHop)He went from a boy with anxiety to this confident performer. He was in his second musical Mary Poppins this past weekend. To see him perform with the biggest smile made me cry. He was confident and was so excited about the show. The show was AMAZING!!!!!!!!It's been great watching not just my son but many of the cast members just grow in theater. Thank You Mr.Frank and Mrs.Yesenia for bringing out the best in my son. He himself thanked them after the show for teaching him the songs and the choreography. All his teachers are all wonderful , Mrs.Megan , Miss. Larissa, Miss. Jenna, Miss. Jack , thank you ALL for not giving up on my son. A special shout out to Miss. Jack. Andrew wanted to try tap. Since the class has been practicing for a few months Andrew felt discouraged since they were already learning the song that they will be performing on the summer showcase. After trying the class he didn't want to continue since he was just starting and felt lost. Miss Jack told him she sees his talent and he can do it. She told him to come back the next week and try again. He tried again and he felt that he couldn't do it. Miss.Jack told him to think about it , she believes in him, if he still don't feel comfortable he can enroll after the summer showcase and start from the beginning. She was very sweet to him. On our way home he decided he wanted to continue!!! His words " mom , Miss.Jack believes in me. I want to take her class , I can do it " He's doing amazing. She knew how much he did want to take her class and encouraged him. I can't wait to see him on stage in June for the summer showcase. I also want to give a shout out to the parent volunteers.They're very helpful, it was so nice to hear from them how Andrew has grown so much in theater. Another shout out to Kyle , the front receptionist for being helpful and answering my million questions haha. Us parents don't just cheer for our kids we cheer for all the kids. I am thankful I found Valverde. They have help mold my son in this confident , happy , positive young performer. Can't wait to see him continue growing in theater !! So this wasn't a mismatch of expectations on my end. My review wasn't really about the difficulty of the stretches themselves. It was about not being greeted, being separated from my belongings while other students kept theirs, and receiving zero pacing or accommodation as the one new person in a room of regulars ,to the point that I got injured and had to decline several exercises. That's a different issue than "wrong class level". I would've appreciated a refund as only 1/4 classes were attended due to feeling uncomfortable with environment. I won't press the issue though, you all be blessed!

Also, the business was unorganized with setting up the recital event. They sold tickets in person in the middle summer with no option to buy online.

Where all these other dance studios in the area the children are actually learning how to dance. My daughter was always passed on to get a part. When I would bring it up (not the owners favorite), she would say that she needs to keep learning and get better. However with the constant change in instructors how can they see the children's progress? My daughter imagined being one of the oldest dancers in the studio. That was her goal. I truly thought she would be. Unfortunately it sadly ended for us at the last competition. The team that the owner cared for the least and in her words.. "I don't like HipHop" was the the team that actually placed in competition. Versus her favorite Company dance group. The Favoritism shines in this place. You can see who the favorites are. They are the ones that constantly perform in every dance performance. Would bend over for those parents. Sadly all other dancers were just for show. I do recommend it for little kids under 10 to look cute in a Christmas or expensive costume. Anyone over 11 years... they will not advance. My daughter was not a ballet or jazz dancer. But she gave it her all. It's not a bad studio, just wished that all students were treated with the same enthusiasm and energy.

But once we settled in, we noticed something incredible. People are naturally competitive, and when there's no healthy outlet for that, it often turns inward--leading to unnecessary tension and hurt feelings within a studio. Here, competition is used in a positive, uplifting way. It brings everyone together, builds teamwork, and creates an environment where dancers genuinely support and cheer for one another. We love all the teachers here. My daughter has had the pleasure to learn from Miss Sarah, Miss Mackenzie, Miss Randi and Mr Ryan.
