But once we settled in, we noticed something incredible. People are naturally competitive, and when there's no healthy outlet for that, it often turns inward--leading to unnecessary tension and hurt feelings within a studio. Here, competition is used in a positive, uplifting way. It brings everyone together, builds teamwork, and creates an environment where dancers genuinely support and cheer for one another. We love all the teachers here. My daughter has had the pleasure to learn from Miss Sarah, Miss Mackenzie, Miss Randi and Mr Ryan. My little girl is only six and is part of their mini class, the older more advanced girls, there at the studio are coached to be encouraging and supportive of the little ones. They act as buddy's during competition days. This is a huge help and relief for us moms. He also invites and encourages all parents and students to go out to dinner or lunch as a team during comp days to mingle and celebrate everyones achievements. Our 12-year-old son's drum instructor (Frank) was phenomenal. The two complaints our son had was that his weekday drum lessons made it hard for him to tend to his homework on drum lesson days. He would have preferred weekend lessons where he could go straight to church after his lessons, but that would totally be impractical for one on one drum lessons. The other complaint our son had was that he felt the lessons were not advance enough for him. But that's just our over confident 12 year old's opinion. The music showcase at the end of the season was a great bonus! This allowed the students to showcase their skills at the end of their music lesson season. Believe or not, the showcase was very enjoyable to watch. There are some serious talents out there among the next generation.
