Took my 2 year old for a trial class. They make you pay for the trial class btw. That's how you know they are just money hungry. The hip hop teacher for the 2 year olds was not friendly at all. It seemed that she did not know how to work with 2 year olds and seemed annoyed when my daughter got distracted. After class, we tried to ask her what she thought, in terms of if we should continue and if they knew how to work with littles and their attention. She basically didn't give me any reassurance that she would be welcoming. Definitely glad we didn't start here. We went to another dance studio that was definitely more friendly and welcoming. read more

I legitimately do not know why this place has 5 stars. I signed my toddler up because the great reviews and was really let down. My husband on day one wanted out but I decided that we had to give it some time because how the hell does it have a five star rating? Idk if its just the mini hip hop teacher but shes not very friendly at all to the kids. She has 0 kid skills. Im not expecting a Mrs. Rachel either but she does not even smile and my kid is 2. Most importantly, they must make some money with all the tuition yet they only have two little small tvs that's split into 4 sections so good luck being able to see your kid dance. At least get one tv per room so the kid's don't look like little ants. And the place to sit down to watch your kid in these little tvs is not comfortable at all. With all the money you make please use it to make the lobby more welcoming and to at least have room for all the parents to sit. Not worth it especially now they are rising the prices to 60 a month. Ya right! Not with those little tvs and that waiting room. read more

She started on August 8, 2017 and thus far, it has been such an amazing, rewarding and pleasant experience for our entire family! We cannot praise how much experience and confidence our daughter has gained so much from this studio and it's dance instructors. We cannot say enough great characteristics about the owner and dance instructor, Miss Natalie. She is extremely professional, polite and courteous. She is always open to feedback and is constantly making the necessary updates to the dance studio. Our daughter's dance technique has grown immensely, since she first started at the studio. I'm so glad we found Move Dance Academy (MDA)! Ms. Natalie and her staff have always been warm and welcoming. Leslie is always friendly and addresses my questions and concerns in a diligent and timely manner. The studio is clean. And they have TV monitors in the lobby to watch your kids in their respective classes. There is a bench table in the back away from the front door entrance for kids to do their homework, hang out, rest, while waiting for their next class to start (because many students take more than one dance class)! They also sell $1 cold water bottles for parents like me that always forget to pack their kid a water bottle before class. My daughter has been attending this studio since she was 7 (she is now almost 9) and she loves it. She gets really upset when there ISN'T dance class. And I feel that really shows how much she actually enjoys coming here because kids are honest and they aren't afraid to tell you if they do or don't like something! And through MDA, I feel we have found my daughter's passion for dancing. She loves to Hip-Hop dance and with the encouragement and support of Ms. Natalie, Ms. Alee, and the rest of our dance family, she is able to express this passion confidently. Thank you MDA! This is the worst place I have ever been to. The owner is a complete coward in avoiding contacting me. I took my two year old daughter there for a trial she loved it (being two years old it's not extremely hard to draw there attention in with a new activity) so we spoke to the receptionist mind you with the owner standing right there informing them that I have shared custody with my daughter and we would only be able to attend the classes Monday one week and Wednesday the week after and they specifically told me they had no problem accommodating our schedule so that our daughter could attend the 4 classes per month. The very next day we receive a phone call saying that if we want to attend Monday classes that it will be an additional $20 because technically you're taking two spots( mind you this was never said to me when they took my payment and made false promises to me which I then said to my little girl) so being a dad and just purchasing my daughters outfit literally minutes before receiving this extremely annoying call I opted to pay the $20 for her to get one class a week. Once I agreed they told me no we can't put her in ballet on Monday's because it's full so you can choose another genre if you like ( she is two years old and needs consistency to really grasp what she's is doing, not switch genres every other week) so I then informed them that I would like my money back because I only signed her up because i was told that My schedule would be accommodated and if you can no longer honor what i was told then I need my money back and you can keep the 10 for the trial and I will take my 55 back; I was told yes and it will be in my account Monday. I receive another call stating that the owner will no longer honor that either and I'm s#*t out of luck. Now let me tell you why the owner is a coward.... being the owner of the Business and seeing/ hearing your employee make false commitments to client is wrong then having your employee call the parent to explain that you won't honor it, and the employee telling the parent that you're not in when you clearly are because the second time I called they said you were in class and then having the same employee call to say that I'm out of luck because I signed a contract under false pretenses. If you're an owner I would assume you would call the customer back directly to stop all of the confusion that your employees are causing. Hopefully that this review will finally bring the owner out of the shadows to speak to me. And what saddens/ angers me the most is that they made me break a promise to my little girl about going to dance classes, luckily I've been searching and found a company that can accommodate my schedule so my little girl can attend dance classes . So please if your the owner contact me and stop having your employees call me when you're right there able to speak to me. I truly hope the $55 helped improve your life tremendously because it clearly will not improve the way you conduct business. My daughter has been coming here for a year now and we love it! She is currently 5 years old and started in the mini ballet/tap combo class. I love how the owner is also an instructor (she was my daughter's teacher) at the studio. That tells me she loves what she does and it shows! My daughter absolutely loves her! The front desk staff is super friendly and is always smiling. She really is great and can answer any of your questions. I'm excited for this year since my daughter will be taking more classes with some of the other instructors (who we haven't met yet). What's great is that you are getting a high quality dance studio with floors that are made for dancers. We came from a studio where that wasn't the case. They have windows to view your dancer plus TVs in the lobby to view your dancer. There are plenty of seats. Also a break room in the back. We love this studio, my daughter started when she was 2 and is now 4 she absolutely loves it, she has been with the same instructor (Ms. Andrea) and she loves her teacher! Front desk staff is very friendly, we take a Saturday morning class, Leslie is super friendly willing to help with any question that we might have. They don't have enough responsibility with your kids please do not leave them with the teacher or unattended I left my daughter for a recital she is 3 years old when they said parents cannot be backstage with the kids when I picked her up my daughter face was bleeding and with a lot of scratches nobody could give me answer who did it and I found out later that not only her but other girl was scratched also. This means that they don't have enough staff to watch your kids while they are backstage or even when they are in the classroom. Would not recommend this school they obviously don't care what happen with your child. read more

We are so happy we brought our daughter to MOVE! At age 2 we started her in gymnastics but we felt she wasn't learning anything new that she could already do. I used to take my daughters to a different studio and I decided to try this new studio. My daughters have been coming here for about 4 weeks. My 2 year old, Izzy loves coming to her combo class (ballet, tap and acro) with Ms. Natalie! Ms. Natalie is friendly and very patient with the toddlers. My 4 year old is in acro and really enjoys her class as well! Her teacher is great and friendly also. So far so good!
