Long overdue review but I am writing to detail an incident of discrimination that I experienced here by what I thought to be a lovely older lady that has danced at popular dance events for years. I went in to get pricing details and stayed for a sample lesson, going into the woman's office we sat down and she asked me questions about my heritage and my name Nancy and my parents. The woman proceeded to ask isn't Nancy a white persons name? Implying that my name did not match my Hispanic heritage. It is disheartening to witness such biases in an environment that should promote diversity and inclusion. read more

we booked lessons with Jose to choreograph and teach us our first dance for our wedding. We went from no idea where to start with our first dance to a beautifully choreographed first dance after a few lessons. Jose was very patient and understanding with our skill level. He also choreographed our mother&son dance and father&daughter dance . We are grateful for our lessons with Jose. We received many compliments for our dances at our wedding. read more

We initially found this studio to choreograph a dance for our wedding. From the moment we started with this studio we knew the wedding was just the beginning. Every dance instructor there is amazing, welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind. For our private lessons we have enjoyed learning from Raven. He has helped us achieve a level of comfort that we didn't think possible, while also giving us much needed confidence for dancing in front of our wedding guests. The best part is that he makes it fun and enjoyable to learn new things. Group lessons are also a blast and we get to meet other dancers like us just there to learn and have fun. I have been a student with Arthur Murray for close to 19 years. Three years ago I switched to the Montclair studio when it came under new management. The staff is amazing. They are friendly and eager to start you on your dancing journey. The staff is very experienced. As a Gold Level dancer, it is hard to find a studio that can address my needs. This studio fits the bill perfectly. I have been extremely satisfied with the ongoing instruction I have received at the Montclair Studio! I give it a thumbs up for your dancing needs!!! Bought a 5 lesson package with my wife for our wedding. Extremely unsatisfactory and unprofessional experience, $800 down the drain. Tried to talk to the them about the issues, but they already had our money and made it clear their interest was minimal. The school is always empty, so that pretty much speaks for itself. Take your money somewhere else if you're looking to learn anything or to deal with a business that treats its students like more than just a dollar sign. read more

So far so good! My Maid of Honor bought my fiance and I 2 private lessons at Arthur Murray because lord knows my fiance needs help in the dancing department. Catherine whom I've spoke with on several occasions over the phone is very sweet and very accommodating. We were set up with Marissa who was very patient and a great instructor. Tom who is the manager also stepped in to watch us and help us out. They were able to somewhat give my fiance a sense of rhythm and timing by explaining and demonstrating in a way that made sense to him. We just need to practice and I think we'll be okay. Going back next week for another lesson to try to incorporate some turns smoothly into our 2-step. Wish us luck! read more

I attend Abundant living family church, and our community group "date night" had Salsa dancing lessons at Arthur Murray's Dance Studio. Man, Arthur was so nice, and extremely knowledgeable. He taught us two different variations of Salsa dancing, and was patient, and made it so simple to learn all of those moves lol. Reasonably priced, air conditioned (my favorite) and complimentary refreshments! I felt like a good friend was teaching me to dance. Was able to see a glimpse today of how they can transform a non-dancer into a dancer in a matter of a few sessions. Dance is an exciting way to exercise and stay healthy. Took the intro lesson with Kenneth, went awesome. He taught us the basics, and he even gave us a few easy steps to try next time we hit the dance floor. Definitely coming back and taking the extended courses. Like the flexibility, they have both set dates for dance courses or you can set your own schedule for private or couple lessons. My fiance and I have just completed our set of lessons at Arthur Murray to choreograph and perfect our first dance for our wedding. Art was our instructor and choreographer and I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience with him... As background, our first dance song is very meaningful to us and to our family, representing my father who passed away and a means to honor him on our wedding day. Art heard our story, knew how personal this song was, and picked up on the fact that I am (very!) picky and a bit of a perfectionist, and not only did he rise to the occasion but he surpassed even my expectations for what our first dance could be. He somehow took two people who could barely dance together and made us a look like we knew what we are doing! Our dance is unique, fun, and represents us and who we are completely- nothing generic that would look like every other wedding dance everyone has seen a hundred times before. We had so much fun throughout the experience, were so comfortable with Art and the rest of the instructors/staff at the studio, and would continue on with more lessons if we weren't moving away! I highly recommend this studio as preparation for your wedding- you want to look like you know what you are doing when all eyes are on you on your big day! read more

My Fiance and I are taking dance lessons at Arthur Murray Studio for our wedding. Katherine is awesome and very knowledgeable about dancing. Our favorite part about the whole experience thus far is hands down our dance Instructor Art. He is AMAZING!!! He is so patient with my fiance and I (we are definitely not dancers). Quentin is an outstanding dance instructor. He has taught me the rhumba, swing, bachata, cha cha, salsa and waltz. We competed together this past March and I had a wonderful time. I felt confident dancing with him. He is very patient and skilled in breaking down the steps so I can remember the technique. We have a lot of fun together and I look forward to my lessons. It has been many, many years since I have danced due to injuries over the years, but I called the center, came in on a trial and felt so welcomed and at ease by the entire staff from the very first visit! They make you feel like you matter and are interested in knowing about you as a person, including your goals for dancing. Kenneth is my instructor and really listens to all my concerns and what I want to achieve by dancing. He is an amazing instructor! Very patient, kind and listens carefully. He also helps to set goals and reach them realistically. I feel so at home at this Arthur Murray studio.
