My girls started dance here and they love it. Parking is kind of a pain to find but there's always people leaving so wait like 5 min and you'll get a spot. It's in a small house and there's two sides. I've only ever been on one side but that side has a front desk, and about 3 class rooms. The teachers are great, my girls are little and the teachers make it very fun and interactive. They use music, teach basics of dance and different markers and games. We're doing tap and ballet. No Cameras In parent lobby so you can't see your kids. Door is closed even with the three year old class. Teacher Sophie arrives late and has no experience with handling kids. They hire students that once attended the studio and are clearly inexperienced in managing little ones. The parent lobby has a VCR available for siblings to watch movies. Yes a VCR lol and it doesn't work. They don't allow you to record or take photos of your kids while they are performing because they want you to buy their photos. The cost for your child to perform is absurd and parents are not allowed backstage. Yes that includes your THREE year old. read more

To the Pointe is refusing to refund me for their 2020 Spring Recital that never took place on June 20th, 2020. On March 16, 2020, I asked them to kindly refund me the amount paid for the in person recital, pictures, costume and t-shirt and they have refused a refund, instead offering me class credit. As the surge in Covid19 continued, I informed them I did not want to be a part of their program anymore and virtual lessons are also not an option for us. I have asked multiple times for them to please reconsider their decision as I would like to have a full cash refund. To this day, I have not made any progress with my request. Their answer has been, "we simply can't afford to issue everyone a refund." I know that this pandemic was completely unforeseen, and know that it would take a toll on most of us, but that also includes myself and my family. I feel it's very dishonest for a business (especially a non profit) to simply refuse a refund simple because they don't want to or in this case, they claim " they cannot afford to give everyone a cash refund." I don't find it fair that they are keeping my money for a recital that never took place, a costume she never wore (nor did I receive), pictures they never took, or a T-shirt we never received. One hundred and ninety dollars is an amount that I simply can't afford to just "let go". May I add, that I paid all these fees as soon as the recital information was provided because I wanted to make sure I signed up to be backstage mom, like I had been before. Shame on me for volunteering my time for a non profit that doesn't respect it's members. Fees paid are as followed : Costume $65 Pictures $30 Production fee $40 Drop fee Deposit $40 T-Shirt $15 Again-none of this was given to me nor provided. We are now in 2021 and I am still dealing with this. Hope no one has to go through something like this with TTP. read more

Quite disappointed on this studio. I had my daughter enroll on the Spring program. She is a 6 year old kid and we wanted her to try a dancing program and see if dancing is something that she wanted to pursue more deeply. Most of the part was ok until it came to the month of June. I am enrolled in auto-payment so I am always on time on this matter. I had a few questions and call the office and immediately felt the resistance from the receptionist to answer my questions. She referred me to the email that the studio has sent to us. Not a big deal right? Well, I guess it is better if they removed from their electronic messages "if you have any question please contact us...". Please make time and increase your interest to your paying customer!!! Specially if you bill me for the full month of June and give only two classes. read more

My daughters have been dancing at To the Pointe for ten years. Dancing at TTP is the best part of their week. The teachers and staff truly care about the growth and development of the dancers, focusing on proper technique and not just flashy moves. I know my daughters are safe and cared for while at TTP, I do not have to worry about the type of music or dance moves they will be exposed to because they follow their mission and values. Our girls have been dancing here for about 5 years. The staff, director, and office manager are the best! They have always been very kind and patient, and they all work hard. The costumes are modest, and the dance moves and techniques are appropriate and professional - none of that raunchy twerking. The growth that I've seen in my girls is amazing and the skills they've developed are beautiful. The recitals are much more than just each class dancing a number on a stage - they are marvelous artistic productions that showcase each dance class. My daughter dances at TTP and it has been a wonderful experience for her and for our family. This last Christmas recital was definitely the highlight as all the girls had the opportunity to dance and be a part of the debut of The Christmas Gift. The true meaning of Christmas was clearly presented and the overwhelming response was positive. Most importantly the Lord was honored and everyone that had the opportunity to attend walked away thinking about the greatest gift that God gave us by giving His son, Jesus. I'm thankful for my wife and for all the other moms who signed up to take really great care of the girls backstage. As the recital is in progress, they get the girls ready to go on stage. I understand that there are so many logistics in place to ensure the security and safety of all our girls from the beginning to the very end. I appreciate each one of our amazing moms and I'm thankful for their service unto the Lord. I think its great that TTP does not have personal photos being taken and video recording during performances. This allows everyone to watch their children perform and people are not holding up phones and cameras during the recital. I appreciate that TTP is upfront when we sign the contract that pictures and videos won't be allowed so everyone can focus in on the show. It's great that the studio offers a DVD of the recital and it was just announced that next year it will be included with the costume fee. I'm very grateful that the owner and her staff love the Lord and the girls. My five year old daughter began here in the Fall of 2016 and she loved it! She took a Ballet/Jazz combo with Miss Emily and had so much fun. The experience as a parent was great, too. Signing up was super easy and I had my three year old son with me there every week- they did not mind him being a little loud and curious around the studio. Cons: miscommunications, older student as teachers (not necessarily trained to handle small ones), wait time for call and email response can be two weeks, no security(anyone could walk in as the office is not upfront & closed studio viewing). This studio is extremely unprofessional. I didn't want to "judge a book by its cover" based on its exterior & size, but its interior definetely lived up to its exterior. I think this studio could work for very young kids who aren't serious about dance, but when advertising as having Level 4 Advanced classes for teens, the quality of class has to match the description. I watched a Level 4 Contemporary class including the last 10 mins which showcases the final combination. It resembled a poor level 1/2 class at every other studio I've attended. Even the teacher demonstrating the combo didn't seem to have much proper dance experience. After the class ended I was told to talk to the teacher about a trial class and levels, in which I explained about my extensive dance and tumbling experience along with my experience in a performing high school dance company. She then proceeded to tell me that I should take class among 7 year olds in their Level 1 (I can only imagine how bad that class would be considering the quality of Level 4) and should not be embarassed as she did that herself as a teen. I was honestly shocked. I am not by any means trying to say I'm one of the best dancers ever, but I am at a higher level than every single one of the people in her "Level 4 Class." I'm not sure if she just wanted to act aloof and degrade me or if she just wanted to clock out and not spend a few extra minutes talking to a prospective customer, but either way extremely disappointing experience and a total waste of time! read more

To The Pointe Dance provides exceptional dance training by a highly trained professional faculty. I take an adult jazz class which is challenging and fun. It is a great workout for the body and the mind. My son dances in the Buddy Up class for special needs dancers. My daughter started here the fall of 2017, with a good experience. That all seemed to go downhill quickly when the Christmas pageant/recital happened. The owner decided that instead of showcasing all dancers, she would showcase her ability to write a dance play and a select group of 4 girls from the whole studio. The storyline was pretty good- to be honest- but that's where it ends. The day of the recital, my daughter was taken backstage and I was not allowed to get her dressed in her costume- meaning NO pictures were taken by me. The studio prohibited any photos from being taken during the show, which they REPEATEDLY mentioned at every opportunity, but they could but did offer a $40 DVD of the show. I personally did not want to buy a DVD of the show for the minute and a half my daughter danced, figuring there would be some kind of photos backstage. I was severely mistaken. I was more interested in photos than a video I will never watch. When I picked my daughter up after the show, she was already changed out of her costume and ZERO pictures were taken of her. I was understandably upset, as were several other mothers waiting for their children. I felt that the owner's ego over "her" show overcast the ability of the dancers. I have no pictures to show my daughter in the future of her in her cute costume. So unless your child has been dancing with the company for years and is one of the four dancers that are showcased in this recital, I would strongly advise going somewhere else. For a Christian run company, their selfishness during this process was unreal. I have never encountered a dance studio like this before and my daughter has been dancing for several years. read more
