My initial observation was how CLEAN, how BIG of a space it was, and that so many people were working for being open only about 15 minutes. I love a good just at/around opening walk-in to secure a quick pedicure. I wish I remembered names but both men were so kind, polite, and did an absolutely out of this world job on our feet. I'm a runner, and therefore my feet get ABUSED. Lol! He scraped up a good deal of callous that needed to go, and trimmed my nails perfectly. However, at the suggestion of a friend, I decided to give Peter a chance. I am so happy I did. Peter is great! Not only is he a talented nail tech but he is very personable. I have the dip powder manicure and have never been disappointed. Sometimes, Peter will combine and create colors and designs which have all been beautiful. I cannot tell you how many compliments I have received about my nails. The prices are reasonable, and the manicure lasts for weeks. I got the deluxe pedi ($40) +$5 for regular polish on the toes. The pedi was amazing in terms of the massage and treatment. The paint wasn't that great (not a great sign when the paint goes all over your skin and it's cleaned off with the brush and acetone). The mani... I asked for regular polish multiple times during the visit because they were trying to get me to get tips/builder gel/etc. I just wanted a mani/pedi for 10 days before I get a fresh set for a vacation/trip; I joked but was serious I'd come back in 10 days if I liked it. When my nail tech put on the base coat and had the UV light going, I wasn't sure if it was a new technique. Then she proceeded to put on what I learned was a coat of builder gel and then used gel polish. I didn't want gel but was like, hey, at least I don't have to wait for my nails to dry. She did ask how I was liking it and after the first coat of color, I asked if she could paint closer to the edges, since the paint was really noticeably not near the edges of my nails on either side. When she finished, I really couldn't rave about it even when she asked. The gel/clear coat is on my skin; edges still are sparse. I can't believe it cost $40 for a gel mani here (since it's close to that price in cities like DC or SF) and then the quality wasn't great even though I appreciated she took her time. The care and service was great but really don't love the paint job, which is kinda the point. I don't think I'll come back unless I was in a bind to get my nails done.

Anytime I asked her to clean up an edge or even out my nails to be uniform, I was instantly told "It's fine." I shouldn't have tipped or even paid for the service. My nails were dip powder, uneven surfaces and not uniform by the end. Not to mention my nails were SO incredible sensitive for months after they bled through to my skin after getting the dip off. She had electric filed them down to the skin practically. Gosh, such an awful experience. The place was extremely unsanitary (unsafe), the floors looked like they had never been cleaned, and the table I sat at wasn't even wiped clean. It was as if someone just shoved over a few items on a crowded table and said "sit down" for a free service. But instead, I had to pay. Unprofessional and would never recommend.
