I had…read morean appointment booked for today (a Tuesday), and when I got the text reminder yesterday, I realized that I had a conflict. So I responded R to reschedule, which I figured would prompt a call from them to me. When I heard nothing back, I decided to call -- and then realized they are closed on Mondays. (Seems to me that the reminder text should go out *two* days in advance if the office is closed on the day before the appointment.) Anyway, I figured that it would be too late to reschedule the massage since they would not be open until noon on Tuesday, so I canceled my conflicting appointment. But since I had sent the R to reschedule, I figured I should definitely call the massage studio to explain the situation and that I would still be coming for the massage. I left a detailed voice mail message this morning and then drove to the studio. When I arrived, I was told that they had given my appointment away. There are two problems here: 1) I don't understand why they didn't listen to my voicemail message when they opened the studio today; and 2) I don't understand why they didn't call to tell me that they had received my response and they were rescheduling the appointment. In my opinion, there were serious failures in communicating with me. I am not happy, to say the least.

That afternoon I saw a charge on my credit card for the missed appointment. The charge was more than I would have paid for the actual massages. I have called and sent numerous emails asking for a explanation of the charges and a possible partial waiver of fee due to illness and the fact we could not give 24 hours notice. She asked questions; worked the problem area; explained what I was doing wrong with the device; and advised me on stretches that would help. The next morning my wrist had a mild twinge. Wish I would have brought it to the therapists of Bodyworks earlier.

The check in process is via an iPad and easy to navigate instead of filling out paperwork with pen and paper. Dr Mitchell examined me for moles and cut off a skin tag near my eye. I was nervous when he told me he would inject lidocaine near my eye socket but he assured me it would be fine and much better with the lidocaine especially if the removed skin tag bled and I needed it cauterized. He quickly injected, cut it off and cauterized it with minimal to no pain. He also removed a mole on my back to be tested and that was also quick and painless after lidocaine. He also answered questions and did a thorough exam and definitely cares about patients skin related concerns. Highly recommend this practice.
