The staff are constantly busy, be is sweeping, greeting, cutting/coloring/styling, doing consultations, helping each other! The young ladies working the reception area are always so friendly, smiling, and helpful, and they stay busy as well: sweeping, laundering towels, taking out trash, etc. They have great attitudes and are always "on the move" staying busy. I feel like they are contrary to young workers these days as they do a really commendable job! In terms of businesses near Fringe since 2017, things have changed. The Bar [adjacent to the south] is now Pizzelle's Confections. Pints and Pixels is now adjacent to the north. Parlor Doughnuts replace the original space where Rock 'N Roll Sushi was and Rock 'N' Roll Sushi moved to a larger space next door. I mention all this because an appointment at Fringe is surrounded by fun dining/bar/entertainment options within walking distance that makes your appointment more of a destination for an afternoon or evening! Sandy may be eliminating the cute boutique, if I recall correctly, and I don't know if they still offer a punch card for salon product purchases. Do try Fringe! A few weeks ago, I couldn't fit into her schedule before my birthday vacation, so I ended up making a balayage appointment with Lily. At the end of the appointment, I told her that my hair didn't look toned enough and she said that it was just the lighting, so I went home. It was NOT just the lighting; my hair was barely toned near the front. Even after coming back to the salon and having another hairdresser tone my hair again, it still doesn't look right. I will never, ever recommend anyone go to Lily for any kind of coloring unless they enjoy the un-toned bleach look. The worst part is, I tried to politely tell her that my hair wasn't toned and she brushed me off. She had another hair appointment scheduled directly after me, so it was clear that she was just trying to get me out of her chair so that she could move onto the next person. Her compensation for a terrible job was to give me a free coloring appointment in the future, but no one in my position would never let her near their hair ever again. I would give this place a one star, but all the other hairdressers have always been very friendly and kind, and I've never had this kind of issue from this salon. I'm highly disappointed, and I will never come back. If you are going to make an hair coloring appointment here, book with anyone except for Lily. She will destroy your hair and then gaslight you so that you leave without causing her any extra work.

Once she starts on your hair, she walks around gossiping, telling Alexa what music to play, she's popping and dancing in front of customers while they are sitting in her chair. I confirmed my appointment with her for a new sew in a few days before my appointment. I let her know what products and how many I would be purchasing for her to use on my hair. She agreed. I bought 2 packs of sew in weave and she only used 1. She ran out of the sew in thread. I had to get up with a partially started head and go to a beauty supply store myself and buy more thread. When I returned with the thread she was sitting down laughing and talking. A professional like she claim she was would not run out of of any products she knew she had to use on a client's head. She also let me know she was only going to use 1 pack of weave on my head and she knew I had purchased 2 packs. She told me the pack of weave she opened was brown instead of black. I told her I bought 1B for off black. I believe that when I left to go get more sew in thread she switched my expensive pack of weave out with some of her used weave. I think she lured me to go get sew in thread so she could switch my weave out with used weave and made it seem like the wrong color was in the pack I bought. Another reason I feel she switched my weave out with some used weave while I was gone, is because this weave she put in my head is real tangly and frizzy. My Milky Way brand weave has never been tangled and frizzy. It looks like my natural hair. My sew in was a crappy sew in job. My hair looked better the way I went in than what it looked like coming out. It was definitely not worth the $175.00 job that I paid her for. Keilah Harris couldn't touch anything on my head ever again. Her supposedly sew in on my head took twice the amount of time to do my head, than a real professional who really knew how to do a sew in. I left Cut By Us feeling busted, disgusted, and felt cheated out of my money. I ended up having to go pay another stylist to add more weave to my head and trim it better. You can tell the difference in the weave, with me going to someone else and it was actually my Milky Way weave the other stylist added to my head. I called back the next day to complain. One of the other workers supposedly notified upper management and they lied for her and said she was going to leave and go get the sew in thread, but I volunteered to go. She and the other workers lied, because Keilah Harris didn't have a car to go get sew in thread. Someone came to pick her up when she finished my hair. One of her kids walked in and asked her was she ready. I really feel now that she lied about running out of thread to lure me to leave the shop, while she switched out my expensive weave for cheap weave and the wrong color. Now I see why she didn't use 2 packs of weave on my hair. I would have noticed the difference right away that was not my Milky Way weave and the same weave that I bought. I should have took my products out with me when I left to go get more sew in thread. I found out Keilah Harris did not put my services in the computer because I paid her cash and she pocketed the money. I reported it immediately to an area manager name Belinda at (941) 276-7382 and she told me to give her a couple of days while she have cameras reviewed. She said she didn't know they performed any other services there besides hair cuts. I let her know another worker name Erica was doing a perm on an older lady's head. So workers there are performing services on the side and not putting the services in the computer and are pocketing the money. I did not hear back from the area manager Belinda in a couple of days, so I called her back. She immediately had her voice mail say she was on a conference call and she would call me back. I even texted her. I have proof of my texts to her that she read them. She ignored my texts and she ignored my calls.
