My favorite part is the new, custom floors they made to absorb the shock on your knees and hips from leaping and jumping. The instructors are bubbly and fun. As for COVID, everyone was required to wear a mask when they entered and had their temperature checked at the door. The dancers are spaced out during the lesson and are instructed to like up at the bathroom to wash their hands after each class. I watched the barres being sanitized after every class. I never felt unsafe. 10/10

This is our third studio we have been at since my daughter started dancing ten years ago, and it is one that we truly feel welcome and blessed to be a part of. All of the families that attend this studio are very nice and welcoming. And there is no crazy drama like former places we've been. I cannot recommend this dance studio enough as the main instructor is phenomenal and has some of the best choreography and standards that we have ever had with a dance studio. This studio is professionally, run and is held by high standards that they are accredited under. If you're looking for a studio, where your child will be dancing to age appropriate music and wearing appropriate costumes this is your place. If you have a son that loves to dance they would really love attending here as my son is part of a great group of boys his age that all share the same love of dance and have become great friends. I can't praise this studio enough and im beyond grateful to be a part of this dance family.

I was told during recital prep that volunteers had a system to make sure kids and parents would be identified and no one would get lost. That system turned out to be a hair band on the parents wrist. Really? No wristband with the child's name? What stopped someone from giving the band to someone else or someone using a band of their own to get a child they don't have parental rights? The inside of the younger kids room was pandemonium. Kids were getting hurt because the older kids were horsing around and not listening to the adults. I had no confidence that my 3 year old daughter would have been kept safe without me being in there.

Our daughters (11 and 7) dance weekly with CFID and love showing off all they learn and working hard for the next competition. They have learned discipline, good sportsmanship and the art of Irish dance. Beyond the classroom instruction and competitions, our family enjoys the performance opportunities throughout the community. From sharing Irish dance with a retirement community to taking the stage in Winter Park, it is great fun to celebrate with Central Florida. CFID has been tremendous in navigating through the impact of the pandemic. Students transitioned to virtual classes almost immediately - complete with a recital! Virtual competitions were encouraged and the school truly did not miss a beat! Now that in-person classes are resuming, COVID-19 safety guidelines have been clearly communicated and enforced. CFID and the Irish dance community is setting a great example for other businesses and educational institutions on how to successfully return to face-to-face during this unprecedented time. I highly recommend CFID to families in Central Florida. It has been a special experience for our girls and we look forward to more years to come!

Many Central Florida Instuctors are from other dance backgrounds and they tend to water down the moves due to lack of experience. She is someone who knows her stuff and is very thorough in teaching bellydance from basics to professional styling. Ilham offers private classes and can also schedule dancers for private events. Her Level 4 dancers are featured over several restaurants in Central Florida. Restaurant owners love her students because of the authenticity. I don't agree with Drea R.'s review. Chances are her perception was off because she is from a rival school. How can you score someone so low without taking a class. Her tone was most likely her accent. Being from Morocco she learned English when she moved to the states. Ilham is someone who has a passion for belly dance. She cares about her students. Nice try "Drea R." But if all middle eastern restaurants hire Her students first over all other schools it is because of skill level and sweet personalities.

I had a pretty…read morebad day today and all I could think about was how wonderful it would be if I could just go to a belly dance class. Wary of how many belly dance academies exist here in Orlando, I looked online anyway and found Ilham's website. Great website I have to say, easy circulation, simple, and no nonsense. It even said "relaxing environment to learn belly dance." Above the class schedule it read "Please call Ilham before your first class." I called her. To my surprise, she was very rude, and had an incredibly mean tone in her voice, and sounded busy like she did not have time for me. That is a bad sign for a teacher. Even if she didn't have time for me, she could have answered my question: "I've had some belly dance experience, and I'm interested to know, what kind of moves do you normally teach for tonight's class?" (which btw was Level 1 beginner's). Her response was "it's a free class. what do you want to know, it's a free class, just come and see for yourself." Maybe if it was just another day I'd say yeah I don't care I'll go, but this day in particular, I need someone who is a little more personable. Ilham is rude and uncaring for potential students, and I'm really disappointed because i was so excited upon visiting the website and watching a couple of her performance videos. As a performer and belly dancer myself, I have to say that I generally care for each of my students and if they told me they were having a bad day, I'd make that class extra fun. For Ilham, it's about business. The first class is free.
