History
Established in 1989.
Raskin Dance Studio has produced many professional performers and helped develop internationally known teachers and choreographers since opening in 1989. Valerie Raskin Co-Director is an original member of "Southern Ballet" now known as "Orlando Ballet". From beginner to professional, our school objective is to provide a faculty with the right combination of creativity, technique, discipline, inspiration, musicality and fun. We open classes on demand, so if a class you would like is not offered on our schedule, please request it. Our current teachers include Valerie and Sunny Raskin, Veronika Costa, Dawn Branch, Aretuza Garner, Casey Saxon, Bianca Nobel, Jakki Kenney, Pat Thomas, Jamell Washington, Trista Schliifke, Melissa Alexander, Chantell Pagan, Melina Trinidad, Bill and Patti Gunn and Michelle Milavetz. Our Pre-Professional Dance Company and Competition Team are locally and nationally recognized for standards of Excellence and have helped prepare dancers to follow their dreams...
Meet the Manager: Sunny R.
Sunny Raskin is the proud daughter of owners Richard and Co-Director Valerie Raskin. She was raised on the dance floor of a professional Ballet Company and from a very young age she thrived watching and participating in all artistic activities. This was great for Sunny as her mother taught all over Central Florida and traveled to study and teach so there she followed. She studied dance, music, theatre and art everywhere that her mother went. This was ideal for her expansive training in all genres of art and performance opportunities became frequent. Sunny began working as a professional very young on t.v. and stage. Sunny has now traveled the world as a performer and teacher for over 20 years. She is currently the co-host of "The Sing Along With The Muppet Movie" National tour. She also continues to work as a professional singer, musician/sound engineer, actress, choreographer, show director, D.J. and now Director of Raskin Dance Studio and Music School!
