Not safe for them physically emotionally and mentally. this is the short version In December we had an issue with one of the older children in the after school program ( why are 5- 6 years old in a class room with 10 -11 years .. good question) one of the 9 years old was showing my daughter who is in kindergarten who just turned six at the time creepypasta (look it one it's Horrifying all one word creepypasty)So I went the following day and addressed it how why is this child able to look at this stuff up in the classroom and I don't want my child being shown the stuff so they try to figure out a plan and keep the older kids away from the younger kids when they're doing their homework in on the computers were something like that could happen and was assured after me asking for resolution multiple times if something else happened they could possibly remove homework time.. A little time goes by and now this little girl is trying to force my daughter to play and act out these characters which my daughter didn't want to play, when my daughter and her friend told her they don't want to play along, the little girl got very angry and very mean... So again I addressed it with the director and requested that the girls do not play together even though I was under the pression that the girls went around each other to begin with anymore since the first incident. Some more time goes by and the older girl is playing with my daughter and her friend out in the playground and she puts her hands around her throat.. (I tried so dame hard to give this older girl the benefit of the dough) I asked my daughter what do you mean she put her hands around your throat and she was like well we were just playing and I don't think she meant to do it but it scared me so I told my daughter, You know you're not supposed to be playing with her if this happens again you tell the teacher right away and you tell me. several days go by and it happens again and my daughter told me that she told the teacher right away and the teacher spoke to 9 year old girl . Several days later this 9year old choked another 6 year old.. A few more days go by and this nine-year-old chokes my daughter again so I called up to school demanding what the hell is going on why is this little girl still even here she is physically hurting the children... well guess what nothing.. the director who is still working there basically felt it was appropriate to not don't document any of the issues we were having with this little up until she choked the 2 child (crazy part no one ever once reached out to the other (Victims) mother till weeks later becausebwe had to go about the new Director to get what we were looking for some justification.. aka kick this kid out already). When we were talking to cindy the new director and was trying to let her about the past history amd how this has snowballed we asked her to look up creepy pasty.. and guess what Cindy refused to look at it to see what it is be she doesn't want them to scare her with those kind of images.. wtf the director who should now what going on., An educator won't look at some images, go Educate herself about what this creepy pasta is and how it's an issue and if kids are looking at it.. fail Cindy.. u failed mama... any way .. the maybe the Decision because none of it was documented by the curriculum director who's been there the whole time which why is she still even working here because she clearly doesn't know how to keep children safe.. instead of Expelling the child they are putting the 9 year old on a probation plan and if something happens again the kid will finally be expelled.. but after everything that's happened and her physically choking two children 4 separate times that's not enough to expelled .. so my daughter and the other victim have to be in the classroom with this nine-year-old who they are fearful of and scared of They are going to leave a victim and their assaulter together still after all of this how is this OK in any circumstances these poor children I'm disgusted and appalled and sick to my stomach at this decision and everyone to know that your child is not safe here.... they let a child choke other childen and Give them I slap on the rest... again this is the short version lots mor details and more to the story .. but these are the most upsetting part ... Not to mention the part where during the whole figuring out what's going on what they're gonna do Cindy acting like a 5 year refusing to look at creepy pastas and losing to me in my years like a 5 year old .. And the curriculums director bold face lying about not recalling previous incidences months back and trying to blame it on the director they just fired when I know who the F spoke to Multiple occasions and had audacity to sit there and play stupid because she knows she messed up royally by not documenting anything back when . WATERFORD LAKES FACILITY: Jeff Irwin, Owner of this star child is one of the most mean spirited human beings that I have ever come into contact with. I enrolled my daughter at Star Child Academy in Waterford lakes. I was quoted $195 a week for my 18month old daughter. After I registered my daughter, Beth the director realized that she made a mistake and misquoted me the amount, she told me that the cost would be $210. I asked if she would speak to the owner and ask him to honor the quoted price. Beth said that she would ask. Jeff Irwin called me shortly there after. I explained the situation and mid sentence, Jeff cuts me off, and says, "I find it hard to believe that what you are saying is true, my staff does not misquote pricing" in which I responded, "Are you insinuating that I am lying?" Jeff replies, "Bottom line, I'm not making an exception for you, if you can't afford to enroll your daughter here, you can take her to another child care facility." After we hung up, I stopped into the office. I wanted to speak with Jeff face to face. I was in shock with the way he addressed me over the telephone. The director went to get Jeff, she came back and said, "Jeff does not want to spiral to you, he also said that your daughter is no longer enrolled here." She handed me a bag of my daughters belongings. She apologized for what took place and she said she was so sorry that she misquoted me the tuition. Jeff gave her an order to remove my daughter from the program, and there was nothing that she could do about it. I walked out of the facility in tears. I spoke with the head of the The Star child franchise, Peter Gonzales, and he apologized profusely on Jeff's behalf. I have yet to receive an apology from Jeff, and I don't anticipate one. read more

Absolutely LOVE StarChild Academy- Windermere! My son has attended the Before/After School and Summer Camp programs for the past 3 years, since they opened. I only have wonderful things to say about them! The entire staff is friendly, attentive, caring and professional. They take great care of the kids and treat my son with such kindness. He truly loves everyone there and looks forward to going, which makes me feel very fortunate. The facility is clean and very organized. They do fun things throughout the year and have great field trips & activities for school breaks and summer camp that my son is always so excited about. Do not send your child here. Ur child will become depressed and stressed . They dont care about ur child. He or she is left alone when they are done something mischif. Alone means just dont care lik about even more than 2 hrs. I request you not to send the kid will loose self confidence and stay in horror because of their action. Trust me i hav faced it. It is been amazing 3 months for my son who is studying in Kindergarten. I see that their curriculum is well designed and advanced, which is very close to 1st grade curriculum of Public school. I am very happy that my son is associated with compassionate teachers. I believe that StarChild Academy provides all skills necessary for the kids to excel in school and life. read more

Parents! Never bring your child here! After stating that I saw the pre-k teacher forcing my son to sit inappropriately by grabbing him roughly and moving his legs with her feet, no action was taken. The new management knows nothing about customer experience. read more
