Then I enrolled my daughter there, also a great experience, she learnt and I cannot say I have ever had a problem with the school or the school principles. Both of them loved the school. Really recommend.

I feel like the worst parent in the world for taking my child here at all. If your the parent with the autistic child there, they are hitting him I saw it with my own eyes (no I can not prove it bc the cameras are broken and fuzzy so you cant see what happened so they will get away with it now) . My biggest mistake was sending Mrs. Judy and email. If I could go through this process I would have called Florida Department of Children's and Families First and reported this incident there. Please if you love your children you will not take your child to this facility. if you have a child in there get them out. if you have no choose but to stay when something happens repot it to FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FIRST do not give miss Jude a chance to alter footage and corroborate stories. Also Mrs. Judy who was to report the incident immediately was slow to report the incident to the proper authorities. Do not trust her to do the right thing.

My family and I were very disappointed with our experience when trying to schedule a school tour…read more As Deaf parents, we simply asked The First Academy to provide an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter so we could fully understand the information being shared during the tour. Despite multiple emails and opportunities to reconsider, the school declined to provide an interpreter. Instead, we were told to rely on written communication, tablets, and "extra time," which are not effective or equitable substitutes for real-time ASL access. This does not provide meaningful communication for Deaf adults, especially during an important process like evaluating a potential school for our children. We were also told we could "bring our own interpreter," which shifts the burden of accessibility onto families rather than meeting basic inclusion standards. We left the interaction feeling that the school was not prepared to support the communication needs of Deaf parents. Accessibility should not be optional, and it should not depend on families paying out-of-pocket to participate. I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and re-evaluates its approach to serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing families in the future.

My kids were both born in Florida, and our family has moved around quite a bit, so we've seen different school environments. That said, Windermere Prep has been much more than just a school for our family it has truly been an experience. The campus is beautiful. The classrooms and teachers are nurturing, and the school offers strong academic programs, including the IB curriculum. My children have also had opportunities to participate in international trips and other experiences that helped them grow beyond the classroom. At the same time, like any school, students still need to take responsibility for their own studying and effort. I've found several administrators and teachers including Mr. Villatico, Dr Fouche, Mr Muenker, Ms. Gemma very supportive and easy to work with. When concerns are raised, the school does respond and work toward solutions. We are proud to be Lakers.

I noticed that my child was treated with respect and love; and that was so important to me in this stage of her life. Yes, it is a bilingual place, their English is not fluent, but they try to give you their best. My little one dealt with other kids from different cultures, and now she knows about diversity, and for me it's a BIG BLESSING. In my case, my baby didn't have any experience before in Day Care, I was so scared, but when I hear my little one singing songs, waking up every morning happy, and finishing her program more confident and enthusiastic; I can recommend this place 100% for sure. Ms. Patricia you're THE BEST TEACHER EVER, thank you for being the light in my baby's life.

If someone at the school did speak good English they did not refer me to speak with them. The schools location is great and my child tried out one of the classes. He seemed to really like the feel of the class. Overall I was not able to enroll my child in this school due to communication and feeling like the staff did not care about my concerns. I was extremely disappointed with how me and my child's needs were handled. If you do not speak Spanish I do not think this is the school for you and your family.
