Yes, it is a bilingual place, their English is not fluent, but they try to give you their best. My little one dealt with other kids from different cultures, and now she knows about diversity, and for me it's a BIG BLESSING. In my case, my baby didn't have any experience before in Day Care, I was so scared, but when I hear my little one singing songs, waking up every morning happy, and finishing her program more confident and enthusiastic; I can recommend this place 100% for sure. If someone at the school did speak good English they did not refer me to speak with them. The schools location is great and my child tried out one of the classes. He seemed to really like the feel of the class. Overall I was not able to enroll my child in this school due to communication and feeling like the staff did not care about my concerns. I was extremely disappointed with how me and my child's needs were handled. If you do not speak Spanish I do not think this is the school for you and your family.

Mrs. Alvarez, the owner of the school, is wonderful and always present, creating such a positive and welcoming environment for both students and parents. Mr. Rosa, the security staff, is always so kind and makes everyone feel safe and cared for every single day. Mrs. Keehran is also incredibly sweet and loving with all the students -- you can truly feel how much she cares. And to everyone else whose names I may not have mentioned, thank you for always being present, supportive, and making this school feel like a family. Every staff member plays an important role, and it shows! The Christian values taught at the school, along with activities like tennis and music, make such a huge difference. The director and some staff members act very unprofessionally. Also staff members are too aggressive with the children as witnessed by several parents I've spoken to as well. I urge you to carefully review this establishment before enrolling your children, look at the meals that they are receiving, and ask your kids(if they are able to speak) how their day was in detail. This was not my choice of La Petite establishments, but I bared with it until the actions of the staff/director became too negative for me to feel comfortable having my child their. My family and I were very disappointed with our experience when trying to schedule a school tour…read more As Deaf parents, we simply asked The First Academy to provide an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter so we could fully understand the information being shared during the tour. Despite multiple emails and opportunities to reconsider, the school declined to provide an interpreter. Instead, we were told to rely on written communication, tablets, and "extra time," which are not effective or equitable substitutes for real-time ASL access. This does not provide meaningful communication for Deaf adults, especially during an important process like evaluating a potential school for our children. We were also told we could "bring our own interpreter," which shifts the burden of accessibility onto families rather than meeting basic inclusion standards. We left the interaction feeling that the school was not prepared to support the communication needs of Deaf parents. Accessibility should not be optional, and it should not depend on families paying out-of-pocket to participate. I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and re-evaluates its approach to serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing families in the future.
