Ms. Hunsha has introduced so many cultures and ways of the world to every single student, which will surely benefit them as they continue their development. She is helping to cultivate acceptance, inclusion and positivity amongst the entire class. My husband and I also love the way that she nurtures each child and meets them where they are individually. Our soon to be 5 year old loves science and quite often gets to engage in fun and educational science experiments, tapping into an area of learning girls can sometimes be excluded from. Our daughter was already reading when she started VPK but, together, with Ms Hunsha we have see her reading level increase to that of a second grader. And to further reinforce what she is learning, Ms. Hunsha has her read to her classmates. That action alone is building confidence, how to present in front of others and a host of other important and necessary skills for a well rounded child and adult. Ms Hunsha creates an environment that is welcoming, enjoyable, curious and safe for students. She commands respect with a loving hand and they all absolutely adore her. Yes, it is a bilingual place, their English is not fluent, but they try to give you their best. My little one dealt with other kids from different cultures, and now she knows about diversity, and for me it's a BIG BLESSING. In my case, my baby didn't have any experience before in Day Care, I was so scared, but when I hear my little one singing songs, waking up every morning happy, and finishing her program more confident and enthusiastic; I can recommend this place 100% for sure. If someone at the school did speak good English they did not refer me to speak with them. The schools location is great and my child tried out one of the classes. He seemed to really like the feel of the class. Overall I was not able to enroll my child in this school due to communication and feeling like the staff did not care about my concerns. I was extremely disappointed with how me and my child's needs were handled. If you do not speak Spanish I do not think this is the school for you and your family.

Last year he had Ms. Amani and this year Ms. Dena and they have both been amazing teachers. Also, the director, Ms. Shahama, has bent over backwards to make accommodations for my son who has a language delay. Before he started at Horizons I took him to another Muslim school that I had sold my car to pay for the over $2,000 in various fees plus steep tuition only to have him kicked out after three weeks with no refund because he would have daily accidents and they "don't potty train". However, he was potty trained and only needed help with getting his pants up and down, which they refused to do. He was also bullied there and would not talk in class at all because he did not feel safe. Then when I took him Horizons it was the exact opposite. There fees are much less; $175 for registration, and the tuition depends on age, and you can pay monthly or weekly. He was always happy to go to school and was learning rapidly. Ms. Shahama recognized his speech delay and set up a speech evaluation with an amazing speech therapist who he now works with, and Ms. Dena works with me and the speech therapist so that she can adjust the instruction for my son. Ms. Shahama is always friendly and available for any concerns that you have. This school is sooo much better at helping kids transition into a new environment instead of being so strict which is not appropriate for a 3 yr old. This kind of environment, where the children are happy, helps them to learn better. They constantly do activities with the kids such as circle time, painting, and drawing where they incorporate the lessons such as letters, numbers, colors, etc. They also have Arabic and Quran lessons. Last year the VPK class memorized 16 surah. They have a nice playground, and also have frequent field trips and events, on the holidays they will get a bouncy house, cotton candy machine, and they have a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/HorizonsChildCareandLearningCenter) where you can see the pictures from the events. Some of their events are Eid, International Day, Disney Character Day, Pajama Day, Mother's Day, and Graduation. They also have halal healthy meals provided for breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

When it came time for my son, at the age of 2.5, I inquired with friends who had children in daycare, researched dozens online, and visited the handful I had it narrowed down to, finally landing with Ladybird Wyndham Lakes. How did I decide? We were welcomed from the moment we walked in the door, there is an option to camera view the classroom (for a nominal fee), all snacks and meals are included (which is a major plus for me), it looked, smelled, and was clean, the halls were secure, and I agreed with their disciplinary strategy of talking a child through a situation. Three years later and I couldn't have made a better choice. He has learned and grown so much here and I know he's in good, loving, caring hands when I drop him off. We were pleasantly surprised when, before the end of the first week, everyone knew our child by name! They do a good job of keeping communication open and parents notified of all upcoming events via signs at the front desk and posted on classroom doors. Classrooms are window walled so you can see in them at all times. There are outdoor play areas around the perimeter and grouped off by classroom so children are with their appropriate age groups. Ballet and soccer are offered on site to those who wish to sign up. My son enjoyed soccer Monday's with Soccer Shots on premises! One Friday a month they offer Parents Night Out, for an additional fee, from 6:30-10:00pm. The kids eat pizza and watch movies. Plenty of staff is on hand, including manning the front desk. I highly recommend Ladybird Wyndham Lakes, and as my son ventures off to elementary school we'll miss the staff here greatly.

While we had a positive view of the teaching staff, the front office and administration operate with a "profit-over-students" mentality that is deeply unprofessional. Following our withdrawal, the school has intentionally withheld my son's academic progress reports and evaluations to use as collateral for a billing dispute. They are attempting to charge for tuition during a month in which my child did not attend a single day and are using his records to hold his future education hostage. Beyond the billing issues, I find the Parent Handbook rules to be overreaching and abusive. Most alarmingly, the handbook explicitly states that they can change any rule at any time without notice, leaving families with zero stability or protection. This level of obstruction has forced us to involve the Florida Department of Education and Step Up For Students compliance offices. If you want a school that values its families and acts with integrity during difficult transitions, look elsewhere. This is not a supportive or transparent educational environment.

He is 7 months old currently, but has been attending since he was 3 months old, and the teachers adore him. There are only 4 babies for every 1 teacher and so each baby really gets the amount of love and attention necessary. They engage the children in so many activities ranging from music time to exploration time with toys to arts and crafts (yes, even babies!). They go outside twice a day for at least 30 minutes, if not more, and they are so diligent about feeding him at the right time. If you ever have any concerns, they are very quick and polite to respond, and they constantly update you through the ProCare app. I am also able to view my son through a private live video feed provided by PB&J TV. This daycare is truly a blessing. They do so much to make you and your child feel welcome. My husband and I are considering moving houses and we are really torn up about the fact MFA2 may not be in our driving range anymore. We're considering not moving just so he can stay! Please give this place a chance, you won't regret it!
